Hamish evasion of Nat 16. Nat grabs Hamish before the gnome is able to leave the shop. Everyone inside freezes.
"Unhand him," the elderly man exclaims as the other noblemen ready weapons but when Nat releases him and follows Retiog they shop quiets again Hamish remaining inside.
Nat and Retiog now see Gimble and Duc talking as the docks are mixed with sailors, dock workers, shoppers, and gaurds are milling around.
"No, what I want...." Gimble trails off. "There they are," Gimble announces exasperated gesturing to Nat and Retiog as Drake wanders outside the shop having found no secret way in. "Do you have it," he asks Nat arms crossed over his chest with a cocked eyebrow.
Nat shakes his head. He wants us to come back later; it would have come to blows if we'd insisted. You up for a fight? I guess it's either that or we wait until the customer is gone.
Drake would head back to the group. "I was going to try to sneak back into the building and pickpocket the guy but I didn't see another way in" The kobold would say with a snarl.
Retiog nods in agreement with the triton. "The blue one here is right," he says to Gimble. "There is more than one way to skin a goat. We should come back when Hamish is less distracted. Hopefully the old man will retire early too."
"Considering there's a group of guards coming this way good choice," Gimble nods smirking. "Any one want to try and drum up some business? I'm open to ideas to pass the time," he adds grinning now.

I have my lute with me, says Nat doubtfully. I could put on a performance, if any of you feel like picking the audience's pockets. He scans the area, trying to gauge how well that kind of thing would go down in this neighbourhood: Perception10
"Didn't one of you mention wanting to be a good guy?" Drake would say looking up to the others, frustration dripping from his voice. "We could try to recover the stolen goods.... It would make us look good to our clients.. perhaps it would make getting paid easier if we show we will ACTUALLY protect them... " The kobold would say looking from face to face. "Of course we could take everything that isn't nailed down from the people responsible for cutting into our profits as well.." He would say with a grin.
"Save the lute and pick pocketing. We have kids doing that sort of thing for laughs," Gimble replies to Nat smirking. "As for you," he says motioning to Drake. "Anything you make the Order gets 50% remember that. So, in knowing that anything we recover for the dwarf the Order is gonna want a cut off the top for any of our time spend recovering it," Gimble reminds the group. "But if it's the city guard like the guy implied how do you plan on shaking them down? It might just be the slums and the docks taking things but if it got snatched in the reach then that means the rich and infamous have their hands in it. You feel like taking them on too," he asks in a lowered tone looking down at Drake. "To recap...we only have our actual job half done. We still need to collect from the draper who I'm pretty sure is getting hustle right now but you still want to pursue the city gaurd and probably an under cutting arms merchant in the reach district looking for arms that they might have taken? And you think we should go after them first," he asks with a cocked eyebrow.
"Well I told you I would wait and get you your money after night fall from the hustlers home.. and you didn't like that.. You didn't like me threatening the phony royal man to hand over the money he owes.. And now I just told you I had tried to sneak in and pickpocket the money from the guy but I couldn't find a way in... so if you have an idea of what our next move should be... why don't ya tell us?" Drake would say looking up and locking eyes with Gimble. "I am willing to do whatever it takes for this organization, even if it means stealing the pants off a king damn it... but I am all outta ideas right now so how about you tell me what to do!"
"You fail to understand the meaning of working in the shadows my tiny friend. We don't make a scene. We don't light wares on fire or bully actual nobles," Gimble replies curtly. "Get something straight right now. I'm wearing a cloak and she is," he gestures at Duc, "you aren't and they aren't," he adds gesturing at Nat and Retiog. "Today is about impressing me and so far you've proven you're rude and you're thick if you think we're just a bunch on petty thieves! The Order runs parts of the city you're not important enough to know about yet. Everything has to be done just so or that precious balance the higher ups, you know the people who don't kill us, created works. We hustle some merchants for protection money because that's what the government expects a thieves guild to do but we get more secrets than coin from these people. Sorry to burst your bubble but failure happens. Setting shit on fire and intimidating everyone isn't going to get the job done here maybe never," Gimble adds flipping his hood up and obscuring his face baring down on Drake as the city gaurd pass. Gimble then pauses until the gaurd passes before beginning again looking at Drake. "If you're out of ideas keep your trap shut and let the adults talk eh," he adds before straightening himself up to look at Duc, Retiog, and Nat. "What's the play? The city guards will leave but apparently we need to send someone else in to negotiate who isn't going to set shite on fire," he adds looking now to Duc. "So, show us you really deserve that cloak," he adds next looking no longer like it's all a joke. Gimble looks highly irritated at Duc and the others.
"Ret, you got my back right, the old one might be a fighter, never know.." Duc laughs at her own joke before walking past the rest and up to the shop. She enters, nods to the others already there and calmly says "I'll wait, don't mind me, please finish serving your customer." She then leans back against the counter, idly inspecting her nails.

As Duc enters she can overhear the debate between the noblemen to Hastings. They seem to be telling him the neighborhood of his ship has really gone downhill and if he wants to keep their custom he should look into moving uptown. Hasting then lifts his spectacles from his nose to look at Duc.
"Excuse me, gentlemen," Hasting says to the men shuffling to Duc with a soft expression. "The gnome is in a fitting...miss," he says it like a question, "but what can I help you with," the elderly shop keep asks with a soft smile.
The noblemen in fine robes inspect Duc curiously with a smirk but does not rise from his chair sipping a silver goblet . The fat then man cranes his neck to look as well noticing his companions conversation has dropped off.
"Please sir...remain still," Hamish squeaks out as the fat man yelps when the gnome accidentally pricks him!
"Watch it," the fat man retorts swiping at Hamish who's far too quick for the heavy hand of the fat man to land a blow.
"Yes, of course, sir almost finished," Hamish replies looking to Duc and observing her cloak before looking back at his work.

"My name doesn't matter today, but my associates have asked me to collect a little something from you, which I know you were expecting to give, so I will take that whenever you are ready." Duc whispers to the old man "We take our job seriously and want no harm to come to you, unfortunately your customer is a man of very few scruples, and will almost certainly be trying to con you any moment now. How would you like the Order to assist you, should that happen."

Furrowing his eyebrows, Hastings frowns. "The gnome handles that shady business. I can't see the coin well enough anymore to count it," he snorts. "Wait until he's done eh? As for those two," he lowers his tone leaning closer to Duc, "it'd take the entire city watch the make them pay what they owe me," he explains next pausing before sighing. "They come here every so often and they don't pay but they do send a lot of paying business my way so...leave them be eh," he adds next crossing his thin arms over his concaved narrow chest.

Duc will not let the customers leave without speaking to them. With Retiog (hopefully) joining her in blocking the door should they attempt to move past.
If Nat successfully grappled, he will try to drag (shove 3) Hamish outside as well. If not, then he'll shrug and follow Retiog out.
Edit: I guess not. He'll let go and follow Ret.
