Watch quietly, and see what happens? suggests Nat. Don't want to startle him before he makes his move, I suppose. He frowns at Gimble. How are you so certain he's a hustler? What gives it away?
"He's know. I suspect he's harassed the gnome who's family I know into making him the clothes. He's a swindler and often runs out on his debts," Gimble explains. "Best to convince him to pay up along with the gnome. The shopkeeper knows we're here to collect," he adds motioning to an elderly human man lurking inside.

Sometimes a Nat 1 tells a better story than a Nat 20 ever could.
"So put an end to the hustling and collect our coin, sounds good..." Drake will say as he quickly extinguishes his torches and returns them them to his pack. The kobold would then make his way inside the store and stand near the exit, examining the scene.
"Thanks buddy" The kobold would reply to duc with a toothy grin. "I uhh.. figure they cannot leave if we are guarding the door... but you think we need to go over there and make sure our... client gets paid... so that we get paid?" Drake would say as he places his hands on the worn hilts of his rusty swords. "I guess otherwise if they try to leave without paying we can jump them and take what they owe... plus a little more" He would say with a wink.
Drake noticed the elder human puttering around inside as well as another group of city watch making a pass by the street they're on.
"The goods guys," Gimble asks his tone incredulous. "We are as Nat so aptly pointed out are the good guys considering..." he trails off smirking. "Any way see the shop keeper is just there," Gimble says and points through the window at an elderly human man with heavy looking spectacles and wild shock white hair. "He can't see a thing really and the gnomish gentlemen does most well all the business now," he explains.
As this is the last job of the day, or so he hopes, Nat whistles as they enter the shop, hanging towards the back, and giving Drake a d6 inspiration die. He waits and watches, ready to help out if needed and otherwise contributing to the hapless hustler's sense of being surrounded and outnumbered.
(Ooc: I will take the lead but I am dumb. so there is an old human that runs the shop but the person who handles most the work is a gnome... so they both work at the shop. so the hustler is stout human being fitted?)
Drake will make his way further into the shop as the last wisps of smoke flutter away from the extinguished torches banging fromn his pack. As he approaches the man, Drake would place his clawed hands on the hilts of his swords. "Hey buddy... looks like a pretty outfit ya got there... I bet it cost a nice chunk of coin." The kobold would say with a toothy smile. "Anyway... in a way... I have been hired to work inside this shop along side these two gentlemen" He would say motioni bff to the gnome and old man. "Only I have a very specific role here.. and that is to ensure that these guys get paid... so that I get paid" The kobold would say as he narrows his eyes. "So how do you plan on paying for this nice suit of yours?.. if you dont mind me asking"
Gimble remains outside. He's distracted actually. It seems he's discussing something with a woman selling ribbons, buttons, and buckets from a tray. She looks quiet occupied by him as he beams a comly smile at her between gestures as he speaks.
Inside Drake's bluster once again gets him nowhere.
"Out...outta my shop," the elder man comes shooing the kobold with a broom as the gnome and fat human look confused as well as amused.
"You works for who exactly," another man stands from a seat inside hidden by the girth of the fat human.
This man looks well dressed, willow, and wears a neer that's permanently etched into his handsome but hard face. He glares at Drake as well as the others before chastising the gnome who's paused in his work to continue. The gnome does to marking the suit of clothes with chalk to tailor it.
"Just some rabble off the street mi'lord," the elderly human says to the man. "Please uh...would you like more wine," he adds as the party sees he's also holding a goblet.
"No, Hastings! This bloody business is taking far too long," the man says with a sigh. "Clear them out," he gestures at the party.
"Yes of course mi'lord," the elderly human replies taking the broom in his grip and coming at tge party in a sweeping motion. "Come back later...please," the elderly man whispers pleadingly before he says loudly, "out you lot," he adds.
The kobold will ignore the old man and shift his gaze to the rich man with the goblet. "So I assume you will pay paying the bill for the round one here" The kobold would say pointing to the stout man getting fitted. "I work for an organization that is paid to protect this place... And that means ensuring that they get paid.. " The kobold would say glaring to the man. "If you plan to pay for your goods.. I got no problem with you.. but if you try to swindle them outta their coin I swear I am going to make up the difference in your teeth and fingers!" Drake would say as he points his clawed finger towards the man, his eyes flaring wildly as he turns and starts walking towards the door.

Nat walks into the store following Drake, puts his arm around the old man's shoulder and steers him gently back towards his seat. Rabble off the streets, is it? Come now, Grandfather, is that any way to speak about your own dear family, who want only the best for you?In a low voice he whispers into the old man's ear: You'll let us handle this, if you know what's good for you.Intimidation9

"We can prove our worth and provide the shopkeeper with our protection if we need to take care of this hustler."

"Want a hand?" Duc moves forward after the kobold, letting him take the lead but ready to back him up if necessary.

Of course we're the good guys, says Nate. Let's go in and... make some new friends. He grins, but lets the others take the lead.
"I am the goodest kobold I know" Drake would say with a grin as he approaches the men next to his companions.

(So who's taking the lead in this job? Nat will do it if no-one else is keen...)
Duc steps up to the door, and enters nodding to the owners as she browses wares near to the conversation, waiting to see what is said by the hustler.

Duc continues to browse the shop as though nothing has been said, giving no indication that she is listening to them.
