Nat takes 8 piercing damage and 4 cold damage (halved from 7 due to cold resistance), and glances around nervously, looking for the next source of attack.
(OOC: Nat, when you resist damage you round down, so you only took 3 cold damage... Every HP may count here. LOL)
Retiog peaks over the platform hearing the blows being traded. He rubs his eyes noticing that there are four of the little creature now. He takes a step closer, checks his many wounds from the fierce woman warrior and decides to let things play out a little longer... Maybe by then his sight will return to normal.
Stepping lightly over the sands Duc sights down into the melee again wondering how much more punishment the woman can take, suspecting sorcery the fighter releases again the arrow looking to remove another adversary but her aim keeps being blocked by the Triton, muttering "oh well, we all knew we weren't here to make friends" she fires at the blue skinned male.
Attack 15 for 4 plus 4 sneak attack damage
Not wanting to leave herself open to easy retaliation Duc pushes herself launching another arrow at the blond woman hoping it will be enough this time.
The floaty woman's arrow pierces Nat's chest and he looks down at it in confusion, and sighs, looking back up at her. For once, he doesn't have anything to say, he just slumps forward onto the ground, eyes open and staring up at the crowd. There's the faintest hint of a smile on his face as the life leaves him.
Felkin sees both of his attackers collapse to ground. Not interested in coming out and charging across the open, he stays where he is, trying make the most of the cover provided by the pillar. He sees the half-orc, but decides that attacking him would only help the archer. And wasn't there another man dropped to the arena with them? Felkin lost sight of him, but he was not among the dead, so likely more trouble.
Retiog's face hardens as two more opponents drop from arrows. Feeling the threat is more from the floating woman than the four gnomes on their last leg, he runs to take cover at the central pillar.
The assassin appearing in front the gnome from distance 3/4 cover @D5 casts chill touch at the gnome and a ghostly hand grips him with necrotic engery.
Attack: 9 Damage: 8.
Attack: 8 Damage: 3
Grumbling at their failure due to dodge the hooded figure speaks: "It was a mercy. Die now or one of those ruthless fiends....I know these aren't the best of choices my friend but what is life but a series of mistakes and breathing...well unless you're her," they jerk their head towards Duc laughing as they slide out of view behind 3/4 cover.
Everyone roll perception to see/hear where Red Hand is thanks!
(Magical Ambush typically grants disadvantage on a saving throw for a spell cast by an arcane trickster, not advantage on an attack. Also, as Felkin was dodging the attack would have been a straight roll... It's all moot anyway since the second missed too.)
OOC: Ah see I thought (you've used it before) was just a tactic possible for ANY magic user from cover/hidden. Either way with or without it I failed! Y'all roll with disadvantage because 3/4 cover? They're harder to see!
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
Sometimes a Nat 1 tells a better story than a Nat 20 ever could.
Dropping the bow and drawing her rapier, in a smooth motion Duc moves towards the previously invisible enemy, as she reaches it she attacks feeling intensely that there are two other enemies behind her, both wounded but far from down.
Attack 9 for 8
Movement was to D6 so I assume no disadvantage on attack.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
2nd perception roll (I'm a little surprised how someone attacked and spoke and laughed in is in the direct LOS with no cover can still be so difficult to spot)
Nat's DEX save: 6
Nat takes 8 piercing damage and 4 cold damage (halved from 7 due to cold resistance), and glances around nervously, looking for the next source of attack.
Edit: 3 cold damage, not 4 - thanks Saute)
