"What do you think Vassa? Should we head back up? With only one tunnel out, I guess we know where to go when we come down here again. But I bet it branches off pretty quickly. We'll have to ask around and see if anyone has made a map of this place."

"Well, I guess that depends on how you define 'new'. If by new you mean 'not original', we can go all the way back to Silver. He's something of an enigma. Seems to maybe be hiding something, or at least know more than he lets on. But he also seems to know the inner workings of the city and guilds and factions pretty good. "Definitely agree on Bison. We get him going with a still and we've got ourselves a solid business plan. Plus, I bet he'll be good to have at our backs in a fight as well."
"Speaking of which, what's up with all the violence in this town? I had been working around Baldur's Gate but I am originally form Elturgard, the Kingdom of Two Suns. Standing here saying that to you makes it feel like a long time ago but it is not really."

"Yes, small amounts of time can seem like long ones, especially if a lot has happened in those moments."
He looks down the well with Phaedra then continues.
"I'm from a small little village, one you most likely haven't heard of. I came here looking to help others in need, as that is the only way I can truly ascend in my... uhh, monkhood, if you will."
He takes out his staff and begins to brush some dirt and dust off of it. As he takes out his staff, some dust that was settled on the floor get's brushed up into the air, causing him to cough slightly.
"As far as what I've heard... I'm afraid not too much. I only heard that you did some work for some folks around the city, and that you were starting up your own tavern. And with the rent of the shack I currently reside in being so god damn high, I needed to find a more steady source of income, and hoped you all could help. But I must say, from everything I've heard, adventuring with you would be a much better way to help out, not only you, but the fine folk of the city."

"Ohh...well" the cleric gives a shocked look. "I am terribly sorry Durnan, I once new a Duncan...your right, unusual name in these parts, more of a Baldur's Gate regional thing. Lower Sword Coast folks...ha" she gives a little nervous laugh "I won't make that mistake again. Terribly, terribly sorry Durnan."
She takes a step back from the well and stands next to Breez. "Good to hear. One would always say that a lot is going on in a port city like Waterdeep but right now it is no understatement. I believe you can see that we all feel passionately about changes that need to be made for the better of the cities people..." she shrugs "and somehow that all seems to start at the moment with opening a tavern? The ways of Mystra are indeed mysterious."
She smiles at Breez. "I can feel we will get along just fine. So you said you are of a monk order? I do not really know much about monks. Elturgard is a kingdom grown from the passions of pure religious belief, with many of our heroes being of different paladin or priestly orders who seek to bring law and order to the lands under the guidance of the Creed. The Hellrider's and Companion's protect the kingdom...ohh Breez. You should see them march out on horseback, banners flowing in the wind bearing symbols of Mystra, Torm, Tyr, Amaunator, Helm. Ohh and the twin suns over Elturel..." she says, drifting off as she thinks about her homelands.

DM - Waterdeep Dragon Heist PbP
