Once things seem to calm out on the main floor of the bar and the Noctis have turned and left, Emund returns to the others. He approaches Cade, Keegan and the tiefling, Tharii.
”Our back room is free and clear if there were some people who might need a bit of privacy.”
He shakes his head at Yorvalor and says, “Only man I know who sees a wolf and whose first thought is to bed it.”
Yorvalor swings back Slash, and chases after Sarah outside the Falcon. “Dear Sarah, if I may have a moment of your attention.” He approaches the group slowly. He extends his hands to Sarah, and when she gives her hand, he bows slightly and gives it a gentle kiss to the top. “Yorvalor at your service My Lady. Listen... Sarah, I know that everyone are on pins and needles nowadays. However, I do hope that we will all come to an understanding and live in a peacefully coexistence. With that said, I would like to extend you an invitation to visit our humble Falcon’s Nest whenever you would like to have some entertainment on your down time. The Falcon is clearly nowhere near as fancy as the Governor’s Mansion, but if you would like to get to know the folks that keeps this town moving, I believe that there is no better place than here. I will do my best to make sure that on your next visit, that you and your comrades have a comfortable and good time.” Yorvalor, slowly steps back, gives Sarah a quick flirty wink, brings his left hand to his chest, swings his right hand wide, and gives another low bow to the group “Gentlemen, if I may take your leave” and goes back inside the Falcon’s Nest. He looks for his friends and goes to meet them. “Gentlemen, that was close.”

The Pureborn, Sarah, seems flattered, but cautious. It's probably not every day someone attempts to swoon the tax collector and actually pulls it off with some charm and sass. She keeps a steady gaze as Yorvalor leaves, before returning to her own duties.
Back inside, the group heads down to the cellar and general 'hangout' of The Falcon's Nest. Tharii leans up against a wall facing the door. While looking at Keegan, he goes around the room. "And your comrades are...?" a brow quirks on his face. "I just met Dalton," he says referencing Cade.
After a round of introductions (in which you can give your real, or a fake name). "I'm Tharii. And I bring work for those who aren't afraid to get your hands dirty a little bit. Jobs are a bit of my specialty, knowing where to look and who to connect people to. I normally have a few rules. First is I never reveal a client, but I have a few regulars. Second, I never reveal who I've hired, but I have a few regulars." There's a exchange between Keegan and Tharii as he seems to smirk. "This time, though, I've heard a tip. A rumor. That I'm willing to... assist with... for a slice of the reward."
To Keegan, this would be new. Tharii always found you out with contacts and specifics. This time, he seemed to be striking out on his own. "But... I'm going to need a bit of proof of your abilities to do the work. And in turn, I'll prove that my info is real."
He waits for a minute, letting the information sink in before coughing. "This is normally where I recommend you ask questions...."
As Yorvalor makes his way back into the Falcon’s Nest, he believes that he did his duty reasonably well, but he has just delayed the inevitable. He still cannot believe what he just pulled off, and his heart is still racing. Things could have gone the other way very quickly. He is very excited that he may have struck a good relationship with a Pureborn Noctic. Then his thoughts turns to Isabella, his sweet Isabella. He’s concerned that she hasn’t come to visit the Falcon yet.
Yorvalor rushes through the main room on his way to the back, and declares: “Hummm... Ladies and gentlemen... The show shall continue in a moment...” He glances at Isabella’s usual spot just to make sure she is indeed not there. His heart tugs slightly of disappointment.
Yorvalor goes down to the cellar, he enters the group’s hangout, and says: “Guys, we need to discuss what are we to do the next time...” He then notices the tiefling. “Ohh... Hello there. My apologies my good sir. Are you Tharii? Greetings. Name’s Yorvalor Smith, well met. You may call me Faceman.” He extends his hand to shake Tharii’s. He walks back and let Keegan do the talking.

Looking over his shoulder at Tharii, Keegan cracks a sly grin. “Aye we’re a motley crew, of sorts” giving a Cade a slight smack to the stomach. Then clasping Tharii on the forearm “It’s been many tendays since ye made contact, I was starting to get worried. Now, let’s hear about this work ye got for me, hopefully it’s better than the usual contracts.”
Leaning in close to Cade as they head down to the cellar, Keegan whispers “aye, he pays well, though the jobs are never what I would call enjoyable.”
after hearing Tharii’s proposal, Keegan is a bit surprised and excited, maybe he’ll finally catch his break from hunting down innocent mages for the Faith. “Well boys, better introduce yer selves. I’ve worked with Tharii here for years, and I can tell ya that he’s never lied to me and his information has always been true.” Then turning to Tharii “Though I’ve never I’ve never known you to deal in rumors. But if this job is different from that last mess ye got me in to, then I’m all in”.
“Changes can be momentous, keep in mind, Keegan. Think of Dunnour and those last guests.” Emund crosses his arms and addresses Tharii. “What sorts of rumors and from whose mouth did they fall?”
There’s no reason not to trust Tharii, especially with Keegan vouching for him, but Emund knows stories of people being offered ropes to pull with nothing on the other end. And with the mention of that sect of button-pushing Faith members around and about, it certainly wouldn’t hurt to be cautious—Broken God forbid they find him doing anything other than offering prayers and blessings.
"It should definitely be better than last time," Tharii says with a nod. "And fora' change, we won't be hunting down any apostates or cultists. Well, that I'm aware of." There's a bit of a shrug as he thinks out loud. "There's been some rumors going around that something big is going down. Some of the more established local gangs have been pulling their focus elsewhere. Mysterious men and women coming and going along the ports. Things that made me start getting a but suspicious."
Tharii seems to relax a bit from leaning up against the wall as he begins to explain. "I don't normally see'a' lot of local business types," the way he says business definitely interring to more of the criminal elements, "working together accidentilly. I think we got ourselves a lil bit of a puppeteer, and I kinda want to know who it'is." Tharii pulls out his pocket watch again, looking at the time. The ticks a bit louder now that it's just the few of you. "See, this place is soon to be... robbed? Hussled for money? Some minor group taking up the chance to cause trouble on another gangs protection front. Cause everyone's all elsewhere."
He shuts his watch and puts it back into his pocket. "Now I won't tell you to stop them from robbing this place. That's on you. I'm just saying.. maybe you could find out some information and pull the thread. See where it goes. And if you do well, then we keep working together on this lil project and I share a bit more."
"I've heard a murmuring about some ranked members of the Faith milling about as well. Sort who play close to their vests. Supposing they be yanking on some cords?" Emund asks Tharii, slightly uncomfortable with the prospect of his helping Keegan to hunt down nonbelievers. He thinks to himself a bit about the possible reasons for both the Faith's involvement and Tharii's mention of local gangs shifting attention away from their day to day scheming and licks.
"Moreover, how's it you're of the mind this Nest will be robbed? Yorvalor's new friend seemed eager to have Nikoli part with his coin, but that's not what you're referring to, is it?"
"Could be them, could be the Noctis are finally making a move. I've got hunches. It'is why I'm here. See how far off I am and maybe a next step or two."
Tharii looks at one of his nails, seeing a bit of crime on it, decides to use one of the horns under his cap to clean it off while continuing the conversation. "When you deal connecting jobs to people who can do those jobs, you tend to know where to hear about things. Did a little digging around myself. It's why Keegan here hasn't seen me in a few." He looks back at his nails, with a affirming nod. Satisfied with them now being clean.

Yorvalor asks Tharii. "Do you think the Noctis are connected, or perhaps the puppeteers in this matter? Also, would you have more information on the tax collector that just paid us a visit?" "You know this reminds me of the time when my squad and I were ordered to burn some Noctii farms because we wanted to reduce their resources. There was this guy Thalron. Dwarf. Accidentally caught fire and he started running around the field on fire. He started stripping off of his clothes to avoid getting burn. Yorvalor is saddened by his friend’s reaction, but he understands where Cade is coming from. “My dear friend Cade. I will not pretend that I understand the demons that you fight whenever you sight the invaders of our lands, but I believe that enough blood has been spilled. If I have to make a deal with the Devil, so further bloodshed can be avoided, so be it. I do hope that I do not have to come to that. I just would like you to understand my motives”. He slowly approaches Cade and tries to put his hand on his friend’s shoulder to assure him that Yorvalor mean him no ill will. “Please do know that my heart is set on one soul only, even though I haven’t had the courage to tell her that, for I have my reasons.” “I do share your desire to rid of these Noctis from our lands, it’s just perhaps that we have different ways of achieving the same goals.”
“Now, with regards to the ominous warnings from Tharii...” Yorvalor put his other hand on Cade’s other shoulder and looks upstairs “Shall we be prepared?” He looks at his friend in the eyes and gives a slight smirk.

Cade takes a deep breath. He realizes that Yorvalor is right. He knows that there are better ways to handle the Noctii. Cade sighs and places his hand on Yorvalor's shoulder.

“By the Faith, will you twats just kiss already.” Keegan puckering his lips towards his friends, with a big smile one his face.
Theb turning to Tharii, “so let me get this straight, you ‘ear some whispers that our favorite tavern is gonna get robbed, and you want us to find out who’s behind it. About damn time I get to use me ‘talents’ to question some who deserves it.” Pulling his dagger out and twirling it between his fingers.
"Keegan, that'll defeat the purpose of Yorvalor telling Isabella. 'Sides I'm so irresistible if he kisses me, he'll forget about Isabella," Cade joked.
"Also, Keegan don't rush into anything, you need a plan. Can't just go around killing people. It'll look suspicious. Unless they're Noctis. Can't trust any of them. Plus I still don't trust your sponsor here," Cade responds to Keegan. Cade rolls his eyes when he sees Keegan twirling his daggers. Cade pulls out his own daggers and spin them between his fingers in a more exaggerated motions to mock Keegan. Cade turns to Yorvalor.
"We have a deal, Yorvalor. But trust me I can turn on the charm as well. Actually it's more like lying, cheating, and having people pissed at me," Cade states.

Yorvalor’s heart aches while he listens to Cade’s plea. “You may not realize that behind this charming smile, I have demons of my own to deal with as well. Nothing compared to yours, I can assure you, but I do have them. What about this my friend. I promise you that I will tell Isabella my true feelings when I get my act together. No pun intended there mate. (Yorvalor winks at Cade) Meanwhile, I watch your back and you watch mine while I use my fake smile on our enemies so that our friend Emund doesn’t have work that hard?”
