The Snake man is about 20 feet from Ragnir and Priton. Hermenor and Tyr are 30? Or less feet behind them in the tunnel. The room is filled with boxes and crates, some are in between the snake man and the party, you’ll have to maneuver around them. The two other workers are bolting down another tunnel I. The other direction. Y’all can go since you have initiative

Hermenor is 30 feet away from Priton. He storms into the room as soon as he sees his colleagues take battle stances. He can't quite reach the snake man once he manages to get into the room (full move is 45 feet), but is hoping his surprise appearance will at least give him an edge.
As Ragnir and Priton rush to meet the creature it’s speed is something you’ve never seen before. Ragnir spams his sword down, but only meets the stone as sparks fly into the air. Priton tried to hold on but the scaled body slips out before you can get a grip. During the distraction of those attempts Honeyton is able to rush up and swipe a claw striking it in the jaw. As the snake man recoils a burst of black ice condensed around it and shatters. Followed by a dagger piercing it’s side, it goes to yank out the dagger but it’s already gone, back into Tyr’s belt.
It assesses the situation and let’s out another hiss. Now his jaw detached and is left hanging wide and two large fangs unfold from the top of his mouth. It raises its whip towards Ragnir and cracks it at Ragnir.
Attack: 12 Damage: 5
Following up the whip attack the Snake man strikes forward and tries to bite Ragnir. Attack: 19 Damage: 9
As it recoils after trying to bite Ragnir it swipes its tail at Priton
(i marked down that i took 6 damage, correct me if that is wrong)
Ragnir is going to do the same thing as last turn. go after the "snake man" (who's not a yuan-ti) and attack. [priton said to do not kill it, so thats in ragnir's mind]
'Movement: whatever i need to get into melee range of the snake man. (25ft)
Action: Attack: 22 (longsword/slashing)
Damage: (if it hits) 6 (slashing damage)
Bonus Action: no bonus action this turn.

The Man Snake creature slides and wriggles free from Priton’s tackle before being bombarded from attacks by Honeyton, Hermenor, and Ragnir. The snake man coils from Hermenor’s strike but bounces back unaffected.
To Priton’s plea it keeps its jaw unhinged as it’s tongue hangs out. Hissing wildly as it’s venom drips from its fangs. Yellow eyes darting back and forth at the party. The scale patches shine in the dim light. It brings its whip against Ragnir.
Attack: 24 Damage: 5
Following up the whip attack the Snake man strikes forward and tries to bite Hermenor. Attack: 12 Damage: 10
Following up the bite attack it’s tail swings around for a second strike against Hermenor.

Hermenor constitution saving throw: 23
Hermenor’s sight goes black and white.l and fuzzy around the edges. The poison courses through his veins as he takes 6 poison damage and is poisoned
Hermenors body goes limp as it collapses on the ground unconscious. The Snake Man slithers back and coils again in a defensive position readying its next strike. The flesh and scaled skin both have deep cuts and tears exposing gore and blood. It’s looking like it’s seen better days.
The Vision of Hermenor getting bit flashes before his eyes, a glimpse into the future. A gift granted by some unknown entity. His vision jumps back to reality to see the snake man lunging at him. It gives him just enough time to dodge out of the way of the bite attack, avoiding the fangs and venom. He hears the sound of the fangs and mouth clack together before it recoils away.
OOC: Just making sure we are on the same page here. The Open Hand Technique features apply to the snake man even if he is immune to bludgeoning damage. At least this is how I'm interpreting the quote "The snake man coils from Hermenor’s strike but bounces back unaffected." The attacks hit, but he is immune to the damage. If that is indeed the case, Open Hand Techniques should still apply.
Also, can I use my DM's Inspiration Die to try and avoid some of that damage? Maybe re-roll that CON saving throw or force the snake man to re-roll the bite damaging attack?
