After getting settled and acquainted with each other, you set off down the hallway again. Taking in all the decor of paintings, tapestries, all lit by torches of magical light. You begin to hear thuds and the floor begin to tremble. A well over 9 foot tall automaton patrolling the hall with a blue crystal in its left and an axe it’s right. You saw others stationary before, but this is the first one in action you have seen. Other guild members stroll the halls around you - some matching outfits, some not. After a seriously long walk you make your way to the library. (Anyone paying attention there is definitely magic making this place bigger than it should)
Floor to ceiling book shelves with desks and tables strewn about. Parchment on the floor, scholars studied and engulfed by books. Some times floating around the room to put themselves away. Up some steps you see the same brown robes you saw before. Y’llvon reading a tome. You catch his eye and his face brightens. “Welcome, I’m glad you know a good opportunity when presented. Come, we’ve much to discuss.” He waves you up
Getting up to him, his hood is down. You see the same blue tinted skin to match his eyes with thinning blonde hair. Even for an elf you can tell he has aged. “There is a need that I think you lot can be a means to achieving it. There is a settlement... a tribe if you will that trades supplies for our components and expirementation here in exchange for food and supplies for them during the winter months. Recently they have stopped delivering their shipments. We need to figure out the cause and reopen our trade route by any means possible.” He explains slowly pacing around the group.
“Welcome, I’m glad you know a good opportunity when presented. Come, we’ve much to discuss.” He waves you up...
Briar smiles up at him and quickly heads further up the steps to join him, "much to discuss, huh, well let's hear more about his opportunity."
We need to figure out the cause and reopen our trade route by any means possible.” He explains slowly pacing around the group.
Briar having taken a seat... she boldly sits in a chair tilting it back, sitting in an unladylike fashion with her feet up on the table... listening closely to Y’llvon. "Sounds pretty cut and dry to me, I have yet to find out more about companions here but they appear to be a hardy crew that can handle themselves well should push comes to shove. So what makes this little task so interesting? Is it only because of the components you need or is it in concern for the welfare and wellbeing of the tribe you trade with? Let us say someone or something else has gained control over the area and the needed components and is willing to trade with us. What is the priority then?"
Y’llvon shows a smirk on his face before responding to Briar. “The priority is continued trade and we get what we need to enjoy our research and amenities we are accustomed to. While the source of the trade is not wholly a concern remember that this is a very large organization with lots of political and commercial ties all over the land. Actions have consequences, anything done that besmirched the guild will reflect ... poorly on your abilities and future here. The tribe has been reliable in the past, it would be best to continue with them. But... if for some reason they can no longer be counted on and you can find a new source, so be it.” Y’llvon sits down at the table. “It’s one weeks travel by horse to get to there. Otis can show you to the stable. Any questions?”
Briar grins at Y’llvon and responds in the Elvish tongue instead of Common in mock insult being overly dramatic in her speech and body language, "moi do something to besmirch this grand and esteemed Guild, why is it that you are starting to sound just like father? I saw you specifically look at me when you said the word besmirchas if I have ever besmirched anything or anyone in my life, well except that one time and then there was that other time."She pauses thinking a moment the continues in Common, "well, in any event, have no worries, I am a good girl and I can get you a signed affidavit from the Nunnery that schooled me if need be but your point is well taken!"
Smoothing the wrinkles her frock Briar turns to the others, "well boys, any questions for our esteemed mentor? It seems that he is more than ready to have Otis show us the door and send us on our way, but first I will need to get my pack off the bunk and maybe stock up on some apples, sounds like a long trip."
Y’llvon goes to a blank stare he speaks in elvish “No personal attack was meant, no need to get worked up. However,If you plan on negotiating with others... perhaps leave your issues with your father out of it.” his eyes narrow and looks over to Priton in common “Maybe have someone else do the talking...? If you need extra supplies, head down to the market take what you need, it will come out of your payment once the job is finished.” Y’llvon waves his hand and he disappears, the tome he was holding floats aloft and begins to put itself away. Making your way down from what you remember of Otis telling you. You make your way down the maze of corridors until you come to a courtyard. Filled with tents and shops, smithy’s, and alchemists. The outside air filled with the buzz of business. People of all races are caught up in the fanfare of making a profit. What would you like to get?
"Thank you very much sir." as we leave I look to everyone "Alright lets make sure not to spend too much on supplies, just get some regular rations and sorts and if you've got your own money then whatever just make sure not to spend too much." I will then check out if there are any shops with magical components (Yew leafs, Holy Water, and Lodestones) and medical supplies

Briar just giggles... rather amused by Y’llvon's reaction... and after he poofs, the chatty young girl speaks in Common to any who will listen, "yeah, just like father... exactly alike... sarcasm is an elusive sly beast is it not?" Giggles again and adds, "poor dears... such is life."Then looks at the Dragonborn... Priton and rolls her eyes as she looks upward calling out to empty air, "really... really... Lord Y’llvon you want to put someone in charge to talk for the group... someone who chooses a Bag of Tricks as his gift, really? This is a test, right? You are just having me on now, right? I know you can hear me!"
Giving up and turning to Priton she gives him a glib smile and a respectful curtsy, "no offense intended m'lord... I am sure a Bag of Beans will be most helpful in this little endeavor and at least we know you have a sense of humor... am I right?"
Shaking her head she turns to the Dwarf looking him over closely, "an excellent suggestion Ser Ragnir, if someone is to be in charge I for one would prefer someone a bit more practical but what do I know... I am just a shallow young girl."
A minute or two later pondering things... Briar looks at everyone blushing slightly as she confides in them, "I am kinda tapped out fellows, there was a masquerade ball at court last week and I burned through all my allowance so I might need a little something up front, just for food mind you. Look at me, I'm a wee thing, I don't eat much," she curls up her lip in a pout looking directly at Ser Ragnir.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"Hey, never know when your gonna need a giant badger. And I aint tryin to talk for ya, just wanna get the mission done as fast as possible." I say as I take a ball out of the bag of tricks and place it in front of me with enough room so whatever it is wont get anyone

Biar looks down expectantly, and smiles at the sight of the creature, "awww its so cute, can you talk to it, and more importantly can it do tricks? I guess it is better than a bag of beans but a beanstalk would have been pretty nifty too which you got to admit especially here in lord grumpy's library. In any event, I stand corrected."
OOC: Forgive my confusion, so it's a Grey bag then, a Giant Badger was mentioned in the text so a '3' would be a regular tiny badger was why I was not sure if it was a normal bag or something homebrewed, etc. So works me, thanks. :)
I have the badger get onto my shoulder and do a little dance thing. "Ya these little beasties are cool, they stay till the next day and then go back into the bag. But I will admit, beanstalk in the library would be quite entertaining." Priton says as he plays with Gino the badger

Briar grins at the dwarf, "I thought that might be the case but when in doubt, be respectful. I am supposed to be a lady in waiting at court but nobody gets my sense of humor there either. I think that they think I am at home with my family while my family thinks I am serving at court... who knows, time for a little fun, thus here I am. But if I had any real influence at court I would help you out with that... but sadly I do not. But who knows maybe someday right? My father is always looking to marry to this lord or that, so far all my would be suitors have found me a bit off-putting, all except for one but we shall leave him unnamed for now... for the sake of decorum, not a very nice fellow. You don't think I am off-putting, do you? But anyway, until then I kinda like Ser Ragnir, it does have a nice ring to it! But if you prefer not then I can respect that and happy to follow your wishes just because I have a thing for handsome dwarven warriors!"
Ragnir: (to Briar) "I can't say enough how kind you are, Briar. Would you prefer it if i call you Lady Briar? a knighthood would be nice, but i am comfortable being a servant to my faith. I would not describe you as off-putting. You are certainly more lively than most of the people i have met."

Setting down his pack in the room Erich will follow Briar and Hermenor to the library "So, where do you all come from?'
