Ragnir: (to the party) "Outside? we should proceed forward, Tyriel might have escaped for now, but we still need to cleanse this place of any evil. I know the results of this scuffle was my fault, but i still think i got sound judgement for our mission. But i will defer to the group if everyone thinks its best to go outside."

Hermenor clarifies his point: "I meant it so that we don't have to fight an incoming horde in a cave they know like the back of their hand. We might be better off fighting in open ground."
The group runs to the mouth of the cave, looking for an adequate position to take in defense of the hordes that are about to attack. 5 minutes go by,.... 10 minutes go by ...... 15 minutes go by.... No movement or sound that anyone is coming out.
Hermenor (with your wisdom score) - you realize that maybe the other side of this fight might not want to give up the benefits of cover from the cave. This also might mean that there aren’t that many people ready to fight.
"Well, boys... Looks like they are inviting us back in. Shall we go?" Hermenor gives up on his open ground plan.
OOC: I seems we already waited 15 minutes. If they were coming out, they would have already. On the other hand, from their perspective, we haven't showed up for a whole 15 minutes after the alarm went off. Maybe they will think we left, maybe they will think we'll wait another hour. I guess I am trying to say that we could try to sneak in again? Maybe?
Before making your way back into the cave, Hermenor and Tyr notice a large shadow just beneath the water’s surface at the shore near where you were waiting. A shadow that wasn’t there before.
Making your way back into the the cave. The work has remained at a stand still. Without the constant banging of manual labor in the caves, every noise made by the creaks and shuffles of Ragnir’s and Priton’s armor is magnified throughout the cave. You make your way back to the room where the scuffle went down without notice of anything new. No noises of anyone else in the area. You have a feeling that you haven’t been very successful in getting another surprise on whoever is in the mine.
Around the room in the torchlight you see a bookshelf with a few books, rocks, and vials of dirt. The table has scattered papers, looking like correspondence but it’s written in a script nobody understands. Each paper has the same symbol. A circle with a two triangles with points in opposite directions, One hollow and one filled on the inside of the circle. A large chest sets underneath and to the left of the table. The tunnel heads out to the right side of the room further Into the cave.
Hermenor will collect the letters as evidence and put them in his pack. He then turns to Tyr: "Catman, mind having a look at the chest? If there are valuables inside, that drow might have placed a trap in it, or some sort of incantation."
The elf will then go ahead of the rest of the group for a brief moment, trying to make good use of his [Tooltip Not Found] do perform some reconnaissance down the tunnel (perception: 10).
Tyr not believing the chest is trapped, goes to pick the lock. It takes a minute and at a certain point he lets out a swear thinking he lost it... but it finally “ticka” and opens. Inside he finds various clothes of women and men of different sizes. A locket on a chain with a picture of a half orc child, various sized shoes, a tobacco pipe, a trifold hat, a handkerchief with a ML hand embroidered on the corner.
Hermenor- walking a short distance into the tunnel. It’s goes on passed your dark vision can see to. Nothing catches your eye. You can hear faint noises in the distance. You can’t tell if it’s people talking or just groans.
"We had a sailor in one of the merchant boats once who could works wonders with a disguise kit. I thought his disguises were perfect but he always said they could be improved upon with magic. Perhaps this dark elf knows such magic, if he is a elf at all..." Hermenor looks worried.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Priton - Taking the pipe, no tobacco can be found in the area.
Walking down the rocky corridors, the sound of water dripping is occasionally broken up by distant murmurs of talking or groans, it’s indiscernible.
Ragnir places his foot on the dirt patch in front of him, not noticing the change in terrain as it collapses beneath him.
Ragnir dex save (with help from whomever was behind him): 20
As the terrain lets loose, a round circular pit opens up consuming over half of the tunnel. Leaving about 1-1.5 foot path on the left side to walk. Falling downward Ragnir is able to catch the side before falling into the abyss. The group helps him up to from the ledge. Looking down it doesn’t appear to be just a pit, it bottoms out and appears to slide down into an unknown area. The stench of rot and wet filth comes up as the air settles. The noises that were in the distance is now amplified coming from the pit echoes now filling the cave.
Skirting around the pitfall you continue down the tunnel. The descent gets steeper, as it zig zags back and forth. The groans grow faint as you move away from the hole. The smell of fresh dirt begins to fill the area. A low light can be seen down the hall (about 50 feet). As you turn the corner. You can see that it opens up into a room. From this distance you can’t make out any details besides the fact the it’s provably where some recent digging has been occurring.

Tyr just nodded “We should take that into consideration you’re right. Would be stupid to assume he was showing us his true form.”
Tyr just blinked as the events transpired with Ragnir “Seems like the terrain wishes us gone as well.”
