Briar smiles at the Dragonborn curiously and asks, "dead rats and a few drops of snake poison is that the reason behind your apparent need to Purify Food and Drink on all of our rations, dear sir?"
"Well that's just a precaution the military teaches ya but i'd say a bit. Moreso worried about him finding me again, nobody really liked him so I got off easy but man was he pissed." I say still chuckling at the memories

Briar nods to the Dragonborn, "ah, I see, very prudent then, I whole heartedly approve." Looking up at the sky the young maiden seems unsure about the weather and casts Druidcraft just to be prudent herself, better safe than sorry.
You create a tiny, harmless sensory effect that predicts what the weather will be at your location for the next 24 hours. The effect might manifest as a golden orb for clear skies, a cloud for rain, falling snowflakes for snow, and so on. This effect persists for 1 round.
Once the tent and sleeping bags are set up, and the animals tended to, Hermenor join the group for the conversation, but mostly listen to their stories instead of sharing his own, at least for now. During the night of the first day of camping, Hermenor offers to take 4 full hours worth of watch duty, as long as he is allowed to trance for another 4 hours after.
(During his watch, he is sure to make good use of his Mask of the Wild feature, to stay hidden while keeping an eye out.)
Mask of the Wild
You can attempt to hide even when you are only lightly obscured by foliage, heavy rain, falling snow, mist, and other natural phenomena.
Briar listens as Hermenor offers to take 4 full hours worth of watch duty, as long as he is allowed to trance for another 4 hours after and nods, "makes sense but I would ask that that in addition that yourself and Ragnir with your night vision being much keener than either Priton or myself... that you both take shifts when the night is at it's darkest and leave us with dusk and dawn shifts to better take advantage of your superior capabilities... if this is agreeable to you both?" Looking at both Hermenor and Ragnir.
As everyone prepares to bed based on the weather for the next 24-hours as gleaned from theDruidcraft Briarhad cast earlier, so if there is to be no rain and not too much of a chill, etc. then Briar will spread out her bedroll in the back of the wagon so that the men can have the tent all to themselves and if no one objects she will take the first watch during dusk Perception23 and then either Hermenor or Ragnir can decide between themselves who has second and third watch leaving Priton for the last watch with the coming of dawn... just out of practicality, if there are no objections.
During your watches, the half moon shines down on the grassland around you. It’s peaceful and clear. Briar, you know no inclement weather is predicted for the next 24 hours. The scattered noises of the wildlife around you: Owl’s hooting, small creatures in the bushes. Nothing catches your eye of anything suspicious or dangerous throughout the night. Priton on the final leg of the watch, seeing the warm pink and orange skies crest over the forest in the distance sees a gang of deer feeding close by.
Briar wakes up early the next morning and cleans herself up a bit, always trying to look her best... to be presentable! Later, she approaches Ragnir... speaking to him as well as the others, "good morning all... so what's on the menu for breakfast? I was surprised and frankly somewhat disheartened when I woke up and there was no smell of eggs and bacon... no hot porridge! Here, I was hoping that at least one of you amazingly talented gentlemen was a closet chef?"
Giving everyone a little pout... the young noblewoman reaches into her backpack and pulls out one of the juicy apples she had procured back the guild hall before they had left and takes a big bite...
Ragnir: (to the party) "I'm sorry Briar, my skills are mostly protecting others for dangers, and i'm decent at healing people. I'm certainly no cook. If we leave the deer alone, they should leave us alone."

Briar gives Ragnir a sly playful grin, "oh I get you," she nods, "a lover not cook, right?" Giving the dwarf a knowing wink. "That's alright, being on a road trip with three strange men, I guess that it's a bit much to hope one of you is a first-rate chef! But it never hurts to ask, right?"
Taking another bite of her half-finished apple Briar looks on off towards the woods wondering if any theses strapping lads are hunters. Probably not she muses as she also wonders if any of them even have a bow, sling... or other ranged weapons to hunt with? Briar most certainly does not, in fact, the young noblewoman is totally unarmed and carries no weapons at all... unless one counts the small utility knife in her pack.
Hermenor finishes his trance and joins the others for breakfast, feeling satisfied with a few handfuls of nuts he finds in his backpack and some swigs from his waterskin.
“I am no hunter,” he says. “Despite being raised in the woods, I never enjoyed the hunt or even making traps. The sea always called out to me instead...”
He then reaches for the broom he gathered from HQ and separates the brush from the broomstick. He attaches the stick once again to his backpack and heads towards the horses and donkeys to give them a good cleaning with the brush. “They also like the scratching, you know...”
Priton with the excitement of a good meal, you creep forward to take aim. A twig snaps under your foot, alarming the deer and they scatter before your bolt lodged itself in the ground where the prize once stood.
Hermenor Both the donkeys and horses show great satisfaction with the brushing and scratching... to the point of pushing each other out of the way over your attention.
After taking some time to get your things ready and packed up. You make your way down the path. Another nice day, although you can see some dark clouds forming in the far off distance. A little less than a half day of travel you make your way into the forest that once was the horizon the sun created over in the morning. The trees are tall, obscuring the sunlight, beams glistening through the canopy every so often.
About an hour later a clearing off to the side. Hermenor hears it first. A low pitch, guttural snore. T the right a giant humanoid sleeping in a sun patch. Brown skin covered in mosses. It’s hard to tell if the moss is part of the body or just grown over. The smell of rotted vegetation fills the area. A large sac is seen under the chin, filling and vibrating with each snore. It sleeps deeply while it’s head rests on a large sack.
Briar arches an eyebrow at Ragnir and whispers quietly back to him, "now why would we do a silly thing like that? Where is the fun and adventure in that? How about I speak to him while the rest you go hide behind a rock or something? I have excellent people skills after all!" She says smiling... a gleam in her eyes...
