"I personally find it cool if we could talk to a giant plus it could maybe tell us of any dangerous spots if we were to convince it to." Priton says as we hops down from his horse "But just in case we can use this." He says as he takes a ball out from the bag of tricks and throws it on the ground

Biar looks at Priton and smiles at his words and whispers to the others, "if you don't want to talk and disturb our large sleeping giant there I understand but..." turning and gesturing towards the Dragonborn continues to speak in a hushed whisper, "if you remember that old librarian guy Y’llvon Serto who seemed to be running the show more or less put our esteemed and wise Priton in charge as I remember it, so who am I to question the wisdom of the ancient one."She says with a wink...
figuring they will most likely follow through with leaving the area and the sleeping giant undisturbed. If so she will quietly go with them but will leave three apples behind as a gift/offering to the sleeping giant.
OOC: She goes along with group majority, just pointing out the Priton was put in charge to see anyone changes their mind as she still for trying to talk to it but as the groups so will Briar...
Ragnir: (to the party[in a whisper]) "If you both want to speak with the sleeping giant thats fine, but must we disrupt its sleep? we can wait for it to wake."

"Id be alright with letting it sleep but I do wish to speak with him. Maybe he could even have some info if were close enough. Plus we now have this dude." Priton says as he points at the dire wolf that came from the bag of tricks

Briar considers Ragnir and Priton's words, smiles and whispers, "that is an excellent suggestion, nobody likes to be awakened when they are sleeping, do they? So I agree with both of you... let us wait till he wakes and avoid putting him in a bad mood. Then when he wakes up on his own then we can try to speak to him, politely, like civilized folk and find out what he may know about the goings on in the area."Briar for one is more than willing to sit patiently as long as it takes following the Dwarf's sage advice as she walks over to pet Priton's dire wolf.
OOC: If that is alright that is three of us willing to wait and try to talk to the giant...
@Woogles, with the speedup in travel, we started I think it was a week from our destination, how close in days is our group to our destination, have arrived near our intended destination still a day/few days out? Just looking see if we are close enough that the giant might actually know something or be a contributing cause, etc. to what is going on.
Briar takes bite out one of her apples and looks at Hermenor chewing as she mulls over his question and whispers, "to be honest I don't recall anything being mentioned about our little task being time sensitive."
The young noblewoman shrugs and takes another bite from her apple and mumbles, "after all, who knows how long this job was sitting around on the list of things the Guild needed to be done? We were invited to look at the board for jobs needing to done or talk to Y'llvon about this one... what if we had chosen not to speak to him but rather look at the board instead and picked one of the jobs on it at random? This job could still be in the job queue!"
Briar yawns and whispers, "I am in no great hurry, are you? Is there a party or a ball that I don't know about? But the more I think about it, I do seem to recall my old Nanna telling me that giants move slower than wee-folk like us, so who knows, instead of sleeping for hours as most of us do, a giant could potentially sleep forweeks, months, or maybe even years... so this could be a very long wait indeed!" Briar points to the moss that could be a part of the giant's body or just grown over, "how long would all that moss take to grow over him like that, do you think? What about that sac of his, I wonder what he has got inside of it? Could be something very valuable or important to our mission?"
Briar smiles and whispers, "a nice idea about roasting some meat, do we have any or is it just all hardtack and jerky in the rations? Too bad none of us hunt... with all the deer in the forest, one of those would do rather nicely roasting over a fire... don't you think? The smell would definitely wake up a giant, that is if he did not just consume a big meal before we arrived on the scene and is now sleeping it off."
When the Elf brings up the sneaky fingers line... Briar gives him a glare and whispers, "what is that supposed to mean? Are you implying one of us is a common thief? I am deeply offended if you think that one such I would have sneaky fingers! Sneaky fingers, indeed."
OOC: alright guys we didn’t skip ahead yet, so this is day two of 5-6 days of travel. But much of it is in the forest, who knows how far this giant roams in a day. There are two sac(k)s. One he is sleeping on, under his head is a burlap sack - being used as a pillow. The other sac is a bulbous like air Sac under his chin, much like a frog. It is inflating and deflating with every breath and snore. You only have dried goods and rations, no fresh meat to cook. You would have to hunt.
Briar looks again the giant and giggles, "this actually a lot like one of the old fairy tales my old Nanna used tell me as a child, sadly I cannot remember how it went but I am sure the giant ended up eating everyone, those tales of hers always did have a nasty habit of ending badly!"
Checking their food stores and rations for meat to roast Briar finds it as she thought she would... nothing suitable to roast over a fire. So she rolls up her blanket and stuffs it into her pack with her other things and heads off alone if no one else is interested in a hunting trip into the forest totally unarmed to hunt! Looking to rustle up a deer or a wild boar or two... a rabbit or such would be nice but much too small for a hungry giant so she will concentrate on looking for Survival23tracks and other signs of deer and boar, etc.
OOC: Thanks I thought we were not advanced that far along so that is kind I thought, just wanted to make sure. But yeah, who knows far they can travel so very well could part of the problem or know what is. Note that Briar will use Magic Missile to bring something down during her hunt and when and if her spells slots are all gone/used up then she will make use ofFire Bolt as needed withPrimal Savagery for anything up close and to gut the animal(s) that is if her utility knife is insufficient for the task!
@Lerus, just and f.y.i. Briar is not really offended or upset at all by Hermenor's words, she like play the drama queen card more for attention or just tease. I think you knew but one never knows so just throwing it out there. ;)
Ragnir: (to the party) "If we stay for a few hours with the giant showing no signs of waking up, i suppose we could wake the giant ourselves. i'd hate to suspect it, but its possible the giant is under some sort of sleep spell."

While contemplating your course of action, Briar you do see some tracks of an assortment of creatures. The freshest seem to be of a cloven creature of some kind. Been in the area about an hour or so.
"If I were able to sneak up on something I could use my spiritual weapon to so I don't have to get too close to scare if off" I say taking of my chain mail to be a bit more stealthy "We've also got a bloody dire wolf with us, get him some food and we can cook the other bits."
Hermenor's facial expression changes to an apologetic one:
"I meant no offense, Briar. If I did, It'd be a bit hypocritical of me, really. You see, I have no training in the art of thievery, but I can be quite light on my step, an my hands are quick enough. How about we leave our dragonborn friend here inside his armor and instead, I go quietly by the giant and take a peek into the sack he is using as a pillow. Perhaps there is some meat in there, no?"
If the group agrees, then here are a couple of rolls:
Stealth: 14 - to sneak up to the giant unnoticed; maybe my Mask of the Wild feature helps a bit more?
Sleight of Hand: 14 - to open and peek into the pillow-sack without disturbing the sleeping beauty.

After thirty minutes of walking through the wilderness. Briar makes short work of following the tracks and navigating through the brush. You find your prize roughly twenty feet ahead. A large boar digging for grubs. Face and about in the sort, he is unaware of your presence.
Briar unleashed a barrage of magic missles towards the beast . 8
At the same time Priton sends forth his spiritual weapon to strike down the pig. Attack: 20 Damage: 6
well, the boar didn’t know what hit him, it immediately collapses. As you approach the limp body of your prize, you see one lucky grub crawl out of its mouth. At least you saved one life today. You feel the bones broken inside, but it is intact. It about forty minutes to haul back between the both of you.
When Briar gets back to the wagon with Priton and the dead boar, she leaves it to the others willing to start the boar a roasting as they prefer... while she goes to get herself cleaned up and presentable again. After the hunt will just take it easy and watch... waiting to see what happens next with the giant...
OOC: @ Woogles Who are you referring to about armor, Briar wears no armor so assuming,Sorry, noted Priton's earlier post so now it is clear to me now. I also had not expected or looking for any retcon but thank you. Oh, so I did, given recent events and retcon I went into Briar's character sheet and ticked a spell slot as used for the one use of a magic missile spell as an afterthought to keep up with things correct and up to date with this the edits. Thanks... sorry I am slow on mobile with things.
