Hermenor opines: "Do you think it was spying on us? If so, giving chase might be our only chance to capture it. But then again, you said it had webbed feet? It surely swims faster than any of us..."
Tyr just looks at him and nods "We should check the under channels, apparently its a natural cave system running under the city - just need to be careful around high tide."
Hermenor leans ever harder on not wanting to jump after the potential spy: "Any ideas on how we get there apart from swimming after a water monster? That encounter with the giant taught me to be zealous around those with webbed-appendages."
Ragnir: (to the party) "if this under city tunnel network is being used, there must be an entrance/exit within the city couldn't we try to find it and then worry about the swimming part?"

"Ya, my guess is that theres someplace that doesn't get flooded. The hard part is finding where before high tide comes. " Priton says as he sits down on the pier

Looking around the tide is high and a strong current is coming in towards the sea. It would be difficult to find what you’re looking for in these conditions and this location.
"I'm with Ragnir." Hermenor says. "There is still a chance I'll run into someone I know at the docks. I'd guess they'd be more prone to sharing some info with us."
Hermenor leads the group through a walk by the docks. He will stop and engage with any sailor or dockhand he thinks looks even remotely familiar, though he would still prefer to come across an old acquaintance if he is so lucky.
Walking back up And through the streets of the harbor. Putting on a pleasant face, trying to make a connection with anyone that looks familiar. Then you hear a familiar voice. Boisterous and loud, cutting above all other clamoring vendors. “Fresh Catch of the Day, just in this morning! Fresh Fish, Lobster, Clam!”
To Hermenor this is the voice of Brelank Foster. Goliath merchant, often the one that would buy the fresh catch from his ships when they returned to the dock. He is known to have the best fish in the market because no one is willing to challenge the behemoth if a man ......for good reason.
"Brelank! You old fool. Still muscling your way to wealth, I see." Hermenor comes closer and gives the goliath the predator-handshake.
Hermenor than introduces all his companions and engages in friendly small talk with the fishmonger. Every few seconds he nods to his companions as to signal that they should be the ones to bring up the important questions. Hermenor simply continues to sweat-talk his old acquaintance.
(OOC: The intention here is to perform a help action to another party member's skill check... maybe persuasion?).

Ragnir noticing the party gathering will walk over with professor honeyton.
Ragnir: (to the party) "Did any one gather some useful information?"

Hermenor attempts his handshake but is all but crushed in the half giants hand. “Oh, you rusty barnacle. How have you been?”
Turning his attention to Ragnir. “Depending on the question is probably be happy to oblige.” Brelank waits expectantly
Ragnir: (to Brelank) "Have you noticed anyone going missing or noticed any suspicious types around here recently?"
