He looks among the group. “Hmm, I don’t know you’re interest in this but I don’t need to know why. Something is going on. Men are disappearing, the councils don’t want to believe it. Saying the just left town on a ship, easy to sweep it under the rug. Fishermen, carpenters, citizens here and travelers from abroad. The only reason I can tell is that my normal people have been replaced and my business has become far more erratic. I don’t know who or why, but if you can put an end to it and let me get back to my business I will tell you this. Go to the Footloose Sundries shop at low tide. When they greet you, say “Mighty nice day for a dip, the pearls are ripe for the picking.” Be prepared and armed. They will take you to the underground. Lots of miscreants... if anything is afoul it will be there.

"Thank you, old friend." Hermenor says sincerely. "Here, take this as an omen of good luck to you and your business. I know it is not much but let it be a reminder that once we achieve our goals here, you will have had a role in clearing whatever evil this is." Hermenor than hands the goliath the rabbit's foot that he carries within his backpack.
With that, Hermenor then leads the group towards the Footloose Sundries.
"Follow me, folks. We'll be there in a jiffy." Hermenor tries to motivate his companions as they walk to the Footloose Sundries (OOC: dancing like Kevin Bacon, I assume).
There are a couple of hours before low tide sets in. Going towards the merchant quarter you come to the area where the footloose sundries is. In a row of shops there looks to be an herbalist/apothecary, bookstore, clothing store, and a bakery all clumped together. The streets are busy and the storefronts all seem to keep their doors wide open, probably due to the heat.
I would expect nothing less from the shanty singing monk. A true triple threat. But there is a nautical root to the term footloose as well. Not purely a pop culture reference.
Looking around it seems like it’s a normal day. No suspicious people plotting around. Mostly people minding their own business. Keeping tabs on the footloose subsides however you begin to notice. Some people leaving that you didn’t see go in. The ones leaving like that appear to be quite wet. As well as some people going in that never seem to leave. It reaches that time you know it would be low tide.
The store looks to be well stocked with various light items for sailing, farming, and general supplies. Entering the room you see two very old humans tending to the shop. A bent and greyed woman sits in a rocking chair at the front. “How can I help you”. Her voice creaks out with a dry sharp voice.
“Hmmm, what was that my dear? I don’t hear to well you know.”
After repeating yourself again.
”Ninety Nine day’s a sip, Earl’s are strife from kicking? You make no sense child.
After raising your voice one more for clarity a younger man comes up hurriedly. “Nana, you know you can hear better than that, let the men handle their business.” Turning towards you “right this way gentlemen..... and bear?”
Honeyton stands upright, a terrifying sight for the man. “Hello friend” Honeyton says as he is giving him a hug.
The man replies under distress “oh, ok, get off me now.”
the man leads you to the back and as he opens a door. A staircase leads to a rocky floor and walls. The temperature very cool. Dark stains of water coat the walls as they go down. “Here you go, mum’s the word” the man states before closing the door behind you.
You enter a torchlit cave about 20 x 20 the ceiling is about 12 feet tall. Three tunnels exit through this foyer of sorts. There doesn’t seem to be any light source down any of them. In the distant echoes you here the dripping of water occasionally splashing down.
Ragnir: (to the man) "I know how much people around here don't like questions being asked, but someones business around here has been making people disappear, and thats not good for everyones business... I don't suppose you have an idea who is behind it or involved in it?"

Ragnir: (to the man) "No big deal. don't want you to step on anyone's toes on our behalf, but if your smart you'll think twice before letting any random strangers in here who just happen to know the password. "Alright folks, any idea which one of these three paths we should be taking? Professor, what does your powerful smelling sense tell you?" Hermenor grasps at straws.
Ragnir: (to the party) "I could try using my sensing power, but from what we saw the cultists have all been human, so im not sure how useful it would be."

OOC: Right. I am sure Hermenor knew that. His player on the other hand, knows nothing about sailing.
Hermenor enters the shop without saying anything at first. He ensures his companions are following close behind and keeps an eye out for danger:
