You all get a good meal delivered to your rooms with ale for free (except for Honeyton’s extra servings). You’re well fed and rested sitting in a common room upstairs, alone, ready to plan your attack.
"I say we enter through the hole from which we left. With any luck, the Ettin or the Zombie Ogre or the Jelly are dead and we can pick up the scraps and destroy that black bone."
You make your plan and get to bed, despite you spending enough time to recover in the sewers, you wouldn’t call it restful. Exhausted you all find yourself sleeping rather quickly and waking up in The morning ready to begin your plan.
Hermenor goes downstairs in hopes of finding Alia. If she is there, he approaches and says in a hushed tone: "Good morning my favorite bartender. Do you happen to know where I can find some muscle around town? Some of the sewers need cleaning..."
Alia winks at Hermenor while making a Bloody Mary, a dried piece of seaweed sticking straight out of the cup. “I know a few guys that owe me a favor, I can trade those in and you fellas can owe me instead. What kind of Mercs you looking for?”
Tyr just looks at them as they begin to make there plan - he was shaken up by the events of the previous day bringing back memories to almost dying in a giant. He just took a sip of whatever drink was in front of him "Why not reach out to the city guard and mages? Maybe, even bring it to the official of the towns attention and have him put a bounty on it. As for mercenaries, we could reach out to the guild and see if they would send a couple bands."
"I feel officials would likely not want any of their "Side Buissnesses" to stop making revenue and would disagree with raiding the sewers, they may be more wiling just to give us some assistance with getting mercenaries." Priton says with slight disgust

You make your way to the guard barracks. It’s just st the edge of where the city proper merges with the harbor. It’s a stone and sturdy construction, nothing glamorous but functional, it’s seen some wear and tear as the focus is probably keeping the docks in shape as it’s where the money comes from. Sitting behind a desk is a dwarf. Rough leather armor with the traditional sandals and spear resting on the wooden table. “What can I do for you lads?”
Before making their way to the barracks, Hermenor would have agreed with Priton. Still, seeing that the group insists on going, he follows along.
Just before entering the barracks, Hermenor says: "I'm not exactly a master of the one-on-one conversations. Perhaps someone else should do the talking once we enter?"
Ragnir: (to the party) "No problem, i can try taking the lead if no one else has a problem with it."
Once the party gets to the guard barracks
Ragnir: (to the dwarf) "Hello there, we would like to report some suspicious activity happening in the sewers. Some sort of snake people are causing trouble."

Professor Honeyton is accompanying the group as they approach the barracks. He knows that a bear capable of speech isn't normal so he concludes that remaining silent during this is the best course of action as not to alarm anyone.
The Guard behind the desk. “Snake people you say? That’s something strange indeed. Do you have any proof of what’s going down there to be a concern to the city? Usually the sewers and aquaphor is off limits and not part of patrols seeing how it’s usually filled with beasts and flooded during high tide.”
Ragnir: (to the dwarf) "Well... we don't have any proof of the snake people, we were just trying to get out alive. These snakemen are responsible for all the disappearances in the city, they've been keeping people prisoner down there in their lair."

The dwarf pops back into the chair, interlacing his finger whole his hands rest on his head. “There’s the problem, the city ‘asn’t recognized that there’s and actual missing person problem. So officially I can’t really ‘elp you lot. Now I know it and you know that there is a problem and the word coming from the top is bullshite; but my hands are tied. Tell you what, hire yourselves some mercs if you’re really that invested and bring back some proof, and maybe I can help reward you to set off the money you sent?” The dwarf sits forward again arms on the table and an eyebrow raised.
"Sir I do understand that, overheads a real trouble for those of us in the lower ranks, but what they're doing is awful. Have you noticed anything odd concerning anesthetic maybe an influx, or it going missing. The things they're using it for and doing there is real bad. We don't need some army but if you've got anyone that's good at their job they would be a great help, there were a lot of those things and they really messed us up." As Priton rubs were the shackles

Ragnir: (to the party) "We should seek help first, the city guard, another group of adventurers, or some mercenaries."
