"Well, I can teleport several willing creatures or an object. I don't think a horse can give consent to be teleported? Nor is it an object. Maybe we could teleport the cart but I don't think it could support all of use plus a horse on it... But I think we might be able to just teleport straight into the city if we need to we all have items from inside the wall which were crafted there."

“A lot. I could teleport all of us if needed. But I don’t think we all need to go back. Probably just me and one or two others to pick up items and come back.”

"I think we were talking about trying to transport all of us to a place closer to Masa, one that Tock knew growing up. But it doesn't seem possible with the horses and cart at the very least. So we'll have to ride and walk there," Dog says, hitching the carrier up higher on his back, and reaching back to pat Gentoa's cheek.
"Keyrie, lead on to where you stashed the horses and we can get a move on. This little one needs to get back to her mother. Let's go! I feel like we've been dithering for days. Nev will be waiting. If there's any magic we can engage to try to avoid unneeded detection, that would be great. Apparently we'll be unmolested while they wait for their talks in Masa, but I'm not sure I trust anyone anymore."
Tock stares at the map for a long time, closing his eyes for a few times and muttering to himself about fishing, the location of the sun and the way the rivers were flowing. He then points to an area on the map. "It's somewhere south of Hencha and west of Torinda, between the two large rivers there. I can describe the bird statue there if Gash needs that to transport us."
Tocksays, "Oh I doubt that. The nearest city would be a weeks worth of travel, at least. There might be a village closer by, but it's a very remote area."
"So teleporting to a place that would take us weeks of travel to get to Masa might not be our best option," Dog says. "I don't know of any other choice we have apart from riding there quickly. We don't know exactly how much time we have or how long it will take. It's a long road, after all."
"Yeah, lets ride. If we see a town that looks like it might have livestock we should stop and see if we can get more horses maybe we can cut our time down some."

"I too think riding would be the best option, though if it comes to it I can ask the horses to teleport with us, if I get their consent then we should be able to take them with us. I prepaid for the horses to be put up, so we just need to go pick them up and we will get any money back we didn't use."
After half a day of hiking through sparse woods and open hills, the party find the Long Road. In the near distance is Hergantenus. The arrive shortly before suppertime and find their mounts and carriage in perfect health. The proprietor refunds half of Keyrie's money, making it clear that refunds are not his usual practice. He wishes to keep a good rapport with Keyrie, however, and gives her a meaningful look. Hergantenus is a moderately sized city, with a couple of smiths, an enchanter, a fletcher, and a variety of other shops. None of them look to quite carry the quality and variety of items as Taur's excellent craftsmen, but there might still be something of interest if one was looking. (Let me know if you want more shopping.)
It turns out to have been a longer hike than anticipated. The party has 2 or 3 hours of daylight left but they also have some warms beds available here in Hergantenus.
Gash stops in at the enchanter, “Hi. I feel so silly I was just buying scrolls and I was hoping you’d have the one I’d like. Do you have a scroll with sending?”5
(as a matter of fact. I do need more shopping :p if he doesn’t have it I was going to see if Taur did when I go back.)
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
As he follows Gash into the enchanter's shop, intending to try to collar him back out and away from distractions, back onto the road, Dog takes a quick look at the inventory to see if they have an Amulet of Proof against Detection and Location (3), something Taur did not have.
(Boy the game does not want Gentoa to be unfindable!)
He says, after a fruitless glance or two, "let's get moving Gregory."
Dog asks if there are any other horses for sale, ideally a horse or two to pull the cart. We have two riding horses and a cart, right? (Genny, Tock, and maybe Bulwark could fit on the cart? Hawk might want one of the two mounts we have? Dog I assume is way too big for a horse. Can a metallic robot man ride a horse? And not sure if Keyrie will want to stay in humanoid form or channel surf through Animal Planet? So we might want another big mount or two?)
[One reminder, from a few days ago when we were nearing the end of the first day of shopping and starting to settle down at the inn, Dog has now done his weapon bond ritual with the warhammer AND the javelin of lightning, meaning he can't be disarmed of them, and he can summon either of them to his hand with a bonus action. The warhammer has the ruby of the war mage still affixed to it, meaning he can use it as a spell focus.]
(I agree we should snag a couple mounts or something if we can.)
with Friend back, firstly Gash would introduce him to his new friends. Friend is my owl familiar. We’ve been without him for so long it’s really nice to have him back. Gash asks Friend to fly above them whenever they are on the long road and keep watch

"Warning: My weight is approximately 500 lbs. I doubt most steeds would be able to support even half as much without buckling after prolonged periods of riding."

The minotaur running the stable strokes his chin at the inquiry for purchasing horses. (9, 9, 4) "Yes," he says. "I have a riding horse and two draft horses I can part with. I have no war horses but if that is what you are after, I have someone I can contact about that."
The enchanter is an absent-minded elf named Friswald. He spends 15 minutes looking through nooks and crannies of his disorganized shop. He pulls out bins of scrolls and sacks that must be filled with the same. "Why do I have 8 of these?" he mutters. "I don't even remember scribing this one."
Eventually, Friswald gives up. "I'm sorry, little sir," he says. "I cannot find a copy of that scroll. I can easily scribe it, though, if you will come back tomorrow."
"Okay, yeah, I will do that I actually have to go out tomorrow anyway. Do you mind if I teleport into the store? Could I just have like... a splinter off the counter or something... I don't know what do you recommend?"
(ooc: the helm has 3 charges so my plan is teleport here, taur, then back to where we are on the long road)
