Stones Persuasion: 10
Julat backs down. "You got lucky finding a group more competent than yourself," he says with a sneer. He turns and storms away, clearly unsure of what really happened to his coin.
Tock is not used to drinking, so he's taking it slowly and pretty much stays his quiet self.
When there is a lull in the conversation he suddenly, but quietly launches into a memory. "I'm from the south you know. We are actually heading that way. I don't remember much of my early childhood, but we lived quietly between two rivers near the large boulder that looked like a bird. We did a lot of fishing. I usually went along with my dad. The rivers were wide and deep and he preferred to catch the large fat fish from near the bottom. He had me throw in some seeds upstream so that they would sink to the bottom and lure in the fish. One time we caught so many we couldn't carry them all."
His eyes go from one to another, "It's been a long time since I've been there, it might not even look the same. I know we don't have time for this.. maybe when it's all over I get to go back and visit. It's not even that far from the Long Road."
Do the rest of us know yet that the town's closed?
"So what is this hut thing you mentioned, Gash?" Dog asks.
Dog heads over to Haliani with Genny on his shoulders to see if the armorer is still at her shop. "Hello there, I'm a new arrival in town, recently through the Trial. Sorry I know you must be closing soon, but I've got a long journey ahead of me to reunite this little rascal with her mother. Do you have some excess leather that could be wrapped into a kind of carrier so that she could comfortably ride on my back? I could come back in two days to pick it up."
He will also ask her, as well as any others he sees around town who don't seem unfriendly, about Archmage Jalienni -- what he looks like, what kind of person he is, any stories they can tell about him. "He seems very powerful. What can you tell me about him?" That sort of thing.
Oh I assumed we knew that Gash was getting the figurine made? Maybe we don't know about the magic item creation part but he's been carrying around the little action figure for a while so I didn't think it would seem strange to us?
(Everyone separated to try and get Feytok, the brazier, and the portal wizard before night fell. Stones and Gash handled their side of things. Dog et. al are at the temple while those are ongoing. Is Dog just ignoring the lady minotaur in the temple? Snatching up Feytok? Leaving him there?)
Gash will head back to to the inn and wait for everyone there. Since the town is closed for the night he figures it seems like the best place to go to meet up with everyone else.

Gash- Lvl14 Goblin Wizard - The High Court of the Aasimar Queen
Dog doesn't want to interrupt the woman, but if she pauses, he'll ask, "how long do you need him to finish what you're doing? I'm assuming you're on commission for our goblin friend."
If she doesn't respond Dog will head out and try to find the armorer (and have the above interaction) before going to the main gate to see if it's possible to leave.
The woman looks up from her work and nods but says nothing else. Dog heads to the armorer to find it closed. In fact, the whole town is shutting down as night falls, save for a few taverns and inns.
Back at the inn, they can see Stones casually strumming for a crowd of minotaurs by the archway at the edge of town. He is adding a little illusory flair to his performance, but has genuinely captured them in his thrall. They probably do not see a performance like this very often. Sark welcomes them back and, upon their request, gives them three rooms for 6 sp each for the night, which does not include meals.
Gentoa keeps looking around for her mother, but will relax when seeing Keyrie, Dog, Tock, or Gash. She very much enjoys the music and light show. The little girl falls asleep in Keyrie's lap before they can get to their rooms.
Stones will will play some lighthearted songs for the crowd, once again asking for someone to share a popular local song or two. He’ll finish his performance with using Prestidigitation to make some markings on himself to look like a clown, as well as create illusory daggers combined with his real ones while juggling to make blades appear and disappear along with a few other tricks all while telling jokes.
Then he’ll head over to the inn to join the others.
Once Dog has talked to about a half dozen people at the light show and the inn about the archmage (do you want me to roll for this?), he'll raise a glass to FeyTok with his friends.
"He never said much. Sometimes I wasn't sure if he was there. But he always was. Until he wasn't. He was strong. He could kill bad things with that axe VERY well. He got it into his head that he wanted to be able to throw the axe, like some ancient god. It actually worked once or twice. He was a true, loyal, sincere, perceptive, and caring friend. I may rail against how he died for the rest of my days. But I'm going to miss him. A lot."
Dog is fine with spending the night, but he wants to set watches if they stay at the inn. He still doesn't trust the minotaurs not to mess with the plan to bring Genny to Nev. If Gash wants to do the tiny hut and have them all sleep there, he's fine with that.
Dog receives a few answers, like "He is the high wizard of Taur. Very powerful." and "I haven't seen him for a few days. He travels more than any minotaur I know." But nobody seems to be of much help in providing details about Jalienni.
Stones does not have any takers in teaching him a song, but he is fortunate enough to hear a couple of tavern songs erupt spontaneously later in the night. One patron pulls out a set of pan pipes to play the melody. Another creates an improvised drum to pound out a novel rhythm. They are hearty songs that get the hearty pumping and inspire the camaraderie of their fellow drunks. Stones has no trouble learning the simply tunes as he listens and nurses his ale.
Gash takes a drink at Dog's toast as he readies his own, he stands on a chair.
"FeyTok fought with the same fire that he beared on his skin. He wasn't afraid of anything... even when he was marked for death. He fought it straight on. He thought his fate was his purpose and he thought it was written and done. We don't know whether it was or wasn't. We just know that we will miss a great warrior, a great friend, a great protector. FeyTok was a man who set his mind to something and accomplished it. It was just a shame he set his mind on welcoming his demise. He spent his final moments doing what he felt was right he spent his final moments protecting his friends to ensure we could go on to complete our ultimate goal. And we will not let him down. Tonight we celebrate him, the rest of our days we will honor him. To FeyTok!"

Gash- Lvl14 Goblin Wizard - The High Court of the Aasimar Queen
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Bulwark has been quiet ever since stepping out of the portal and into the village of Taur. The strange mannerisms of the Minotaur people disquiet him, and his head turns to the statue of Baphomet more than once while at the temple. He will graciously accept the offer of the shield, though makes no other plans about buying anything. He holds back from interacting with Gentoa, uncertain about how to deal with a child. He nods at Gash's words, though makes no move to eat or drink anything.

Gash doesn’t bother the shopkeep. Not even a word. He just turns around to gather his friends for the night. Looks like they’ll be staying in town.

(Gash hasn't made it to the temple yet. Dog et al. still need to figure out what is going on with Feytok...)

Tock does his reminiscing (posted above) whenever everyone is together and quieted down and somewhat drunk.

“Sark, prep a feast for us please. I’m buying. Tonight we’re honoring a friend that has fallen. So the best of whatever you have there, please.”
Gash - Lvl14 Goblin Wizard - The High Court of the Aasimar Queen
Dog takes Genny over to watch the rest of Stones' performance -- hoping that she'll love the music and illusions.
He'll start his attempt at casual friendly questions about the archmage there among the crowd, and then back at the inn. How's Genny doing?
Gentoa keeps looking around for her mother, but will relax when seeing Keyrie, Dog, Tock, or Gash. She very much enjoys the music and light show. The little girl falls asleep in Keyrie's lap before they can get to their rooms.
