Tock says, "This is a lot indeed. We need to set our priorities though, can't be spreading too thin or we will fail some or all of these things. Let us focus on our role as Protectors first - figure out what it means, what the Accords ask, allow and permit us to do and how do we feel about all of this. And lets actually be with our charges, otherwise we are not actually protecting anyone."
Bulwark turns to his current companion and motions him aside and away from the mother and daughter, "Observation: Neventi appears unable or unwilling to discuss any matters regarding magic or what may be affecting her mentally. The magic that just caused her severe injury is likely linked to this behaviour in some regard. Bringing such matters up again may have further consequences. I could not remove the amulet physically."
"Tock, you're right -- it's been a while, so we might want to check on Nev and see if the others are with her. She'll want to get going. Hold on."
Dog gets up from the table and goes to the bar, and asks whoever's there what shops might still be open that sell travel provisions and horses/carts. If none, which open early in the morning?
"My family and I are devout followers of Oghma," says Viviora. "I volunteered at the temple since I was seven years old. I never wanted to become a priestess, though, so I have been studying to become a librarian."
"A fine goal for a follower of Oghma," says Axonia.
"Well, sure," says the barkeeper with a grin. "It wouldn't be Masa without some all-night stables."
At first, Dog can't tell if the barkeeper is teasing him or not but then the man continues. "Dalsus keeps some fine horses and you can fetch him at almost any hour. His stables are on the north side of town, near the northwest entrance. Ivaina Thimblecap keeps late hours. Her stables are outside the city, but not far. Just to the east, towards the river. Take the northeast exit, then follow the first cart roads to the south."
The barkeeper thinks for a moment. "oh, right. Whistle." He laughs. "Can't believe I almost forgot Ol' Whistle. His stables are small and he mostly resells horses that others are trying to be rid of for one reason or another. You might not get the selection you like but they will be the cheapest horses in Masa. He keeps odd hours, though. He might be there, he might not."
"We will need some fairly large animals, in addition to my half-giant friend here, we have that war forged with us as well. Do you know which one of the stables would best get us outfitted for my larger friends?"

"If you want certainty, Thimblecap and Dalsus are your best bets. Thimblecap, being outside of the city, has the largest stable and the most variety, but I'm guarantee Dalsus can give you what you need as well."
"Well Masa has been so good to us, we should help stimulate the economy. Thank you for the information."
OOC: Are we squared away for rooms? If not Gash will pay for enough rooms for all of us here for the night. As well as a feast for the group once we're all back together.

Althus nods to Bulwark before whispering back, "I've gathered that much. My god has blessed me with the ability to take wounds for others, so if this damage were to be triggered again I would be able to absorb it. I would like to have someone else with healing abilities on hand, in case it is too much for me, but getting this amulet off of her is my current priority."
Dog thanks the bartender for the advice, and also asks about directions -- where is Dalsus between the tavern and [the inn Nev is staying at], and the other one in the city?
He asks Tock and Gash if they're ready to go, and nods when Gash suggests getting rooms. "We can't stay at Axonia's inn -- I have a very, very, expensive room there but the woman they think is staying there is probably not welcome anymore. The ten gold I paid for the suite I'm counting as my fee for those papers. Gods what a day. No word from Friend? We should go find out what happened to Bulwark and the new guys."
"No, nothing like that," says Axonia. "My kind...we do not aspire for we are granted all our aspirations upon our creation. Our only want is to serve our gods."

Martin:
As Martin ponders Asonia's answer, the trio arrive at the city gate on the southeast side of the city. This is the entrance to the Market District as well and is only a stone's throw from the inns where both Axonia and Neventi are staying.
Viviora pats Martin on the arm. "Thank you for the walk," she says but offers no followup.
"Let's go gather with the others. We should see Martin along the way to Nev's. We can check in there and tell her we leave in the morning. We have to take care of the assassin."

Dog nods. "We could loop up to Dalsus and buy horses on the way there but honestly I'm not sure what we'd do with them. Better to tell Nev we finally found a place to get transportation and that we can get them in the morning. I'll go with you to see about the assassin, Gash. Let's go get the others. Is Friend back yet?"

And where on that map is the house that the assassin evidently lives in? Would also be helpful to know where Axonia's inn is... sorry!
