Adolmain curious as to the intentions of Autzen clarifies “I believe I stated that I could handle the wagon, as I can cast spells from the drivers seat and fire arrows. Right??” Adolmain feels that he must now watch this teammate more closely it could simply be that he didn’t here us but his looks do speak to the possibility of ill intentions.
"Have it your way.." ... why should we settle for ten gold pieces when we can keep the entire 100 worth of equipment, am I wrong, Autzen thinks to himself.

You’ve been on the Triboar Trail for about half a day. As you come around a bend, you spot two dead horses sprawled about fifty feet ahead of the wagon, blocking the path. Each has several black-feathered arrows sticking out of it. The woods press close to the trail here, with a steep embankment and dense thickets on either side.
You can't shake the smell, as it surrounds you like cold blanket of stench. But you're bothered, as the smell does not smell like the unpleasant order of a dead animal, but rather, the smell of death, decay and blight — goblins.
(OOC: Do not post until you see my message in private chat. Would like to go over some rules, reminders and such as we're all getting back into this and probably don't have a strong idea of potential moves and consequences. I'll text everyone when the private message is up).

Solaris is irritated by the loss of noble creatures for no other reason then to impede our movement but maintains composure however he desires to end the lives of the evil that would do this and states “well it appears these horses died of natural causes. Gosh guys should we move them out of our way? I don’t think anything bad could happen if we did.”
Hopping down from the wagon and drawing his Greatsword , Autzen cautiously moves halfway toward the horses. Time to Investigation exactly what has happened here, and what might be in those saddle bags. (Ability check 22)

Autzen's heart begins to race as he moves next to his comrade and closer to the dead horses. Too far away from the saddlebags to see what is inside, he does notice from a distance a map case of some sort near the dead horse carcasses.
But the heart races not because of his spotting of the map, but the dark, cold reality that the horses look familiar. The horses belonged to Gundren Rockseeker and Sildar Hallwinter. Autzen determines that they been dead about a day, and it’s clear that arrows killed the horses.

I will investigate these horses more closely. Be ready to defend yourselves...and me. Vixus moves forward cautiously, shield raised, and sword drawn. As he moves he scans the woods to his left looking for the culprits of this despicable savagery. [Move three spaces forward from H9 to K9]
The companions' readiness serves them well, as they see figures retreat out of the shadows who undoubtedly would have surprised a lesser prepared party. The green goblins jump out from the forest, grinning ear to ear with their wicked smiles. Their skin has the appearance of a the skin of a corpse out too long in the Sword Coast sun. Their smell carries, despite being yards away from the companions. Evil, ugliness, and wickedness in a humanoid form. But these forms carry bows and scimitars.

The foul smell fills Vixus’ nostrils. Any creatures that would ambush and slaughter other living beings in this way must be permanently prevented from ever doing so again, he thinks. The thunderous unheard roar in his mind is contrasted starkly by his silent resolve as he swiftly closes the gap between himself and the closest goblin. In one continuous movement his sword flashes in an efficient arc toward the wretched creatures neck with a purpose of severing head from body.
[Move 3 from K9 to M8] [Melee Attack Attack: 11 Damage: 4
Rastin thinks to himself, if I kill or incapacitate this vermin, I will close the gap with that bow-wielding scum to finish him next and reduce the efficacy of his ranged attack. [OOC: If goblin 1 is no longer a threat, Rastin will use the rest of his movement to close on goblin 3 by moving to P8]
(OOC: Mike/Rastin - you only rolled 1d20 for your attack. You actually needed to roll 1d20 +5 since if you look on your character sheet you have +5 attack with your greatsword. An 11 is a MISS but a 16 is a hit). Be sure to make sure you're rolling correctly. Also, I don't think you rolled damage right. You roll 2D6+3. You didn't add the +3 to your roll so you actually did 7 damage).
A goblin's eyes widened like hourglasses as Rastin swings his sword toward the goblin's neck. The goblin clumsily tries to react in time, but it is too late as Rastin's sword was true and it cuts the throat of the goblin. Blood begins to spurt from the goblin's neck as he desperately tries to stop the bleeding. The blood that chokes him catches up to the goblin, and he quickly falls unconscious.
"Fire your ****in' bow you shit eater!!!!" a goblin (3) in the rear growls at his other bow equipped goblin.
The goblin to the rear (3) eyes Adolmain on the cart, thinking his evil friends can take on the enemy advancing on his team's position. The goblin licks the notch of his arrow with his black tongue as he draws, releasing with hopes of a true shot, a kill, and more brains to eat. (Attack: 18 Damage: Unable to parse dice roll.)
The arrow whistles through the air towards Adolmain, hitting him squarely and drawing blood, though not as much blood as one would have thought due the ward protecting Adolmain. The goblin squeals with glee, pulling another arrow from his quiver, more than able to rain pain on the enemy.
(OOC: Adolmain suffers 50% of 3 damage (round down) due to his resistance from piercing damage from the blade ward. The resistance from the spell ends at the end of Adolmain's turn).
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Adolmain is focused on these cursed beasts. He moves from the cart C7 since these oxen won’t move and advances to K9 shrugging off the arrow strike thanks to his forethought. As Adolmain advances he utters the words “Uttaranchal Vistus” as he waves the burnt branch and with a bit of INSPIRATION casts witch bolt at goblin 3. 244
