Solaris thinks it may just pay off as he puts on one of the red capes of the Redbrands that they killed with Rastin and himself followed by Autzen it may appear as if Adolmain is Glassstaff walking with Redbrand guards and it just may give them a seconds worth of advantage should they run into any more trouble. The group will head to the office of the mage and look for clues to the wave Echo Cave maybe even this Spider man everyone mentions not to mention the pour captured dwarf and whoever else they have.
Your group is rested and proceeds to explore the rest of the manor for clues. You leave the dead mage and eyeless Nothic and head back to the room where you massacred the drunken Redbrands - their blood blending into the red cloaks they wear. You enter Glassstaff's quarters and find a small bed, a wooden chest, and a desk filled with stacks of papers and such. On the desk you find various papers. On the east side of the room, and consistent with the map you found on Glasstaff, you see a wall slightly ajar - clearly a secret door used by Glassstaff to meet the Nothic.
As you inspect the papers you find the following note:
Lord Albrek,
My spies in Neverwinter tell me that strangers are due to arrive in Phandalin. They could be working for the dwarves. Capture them if you can, kill them if you must, but don’t allow them to upset our plans. Find out what they know, as we can't let them or others find Wave Echo cave or the the castle. I’m counting on you, Iarno. Don’t disappoint me.

Autzen opens the chest and finds a plethora of gems and coin. He hastily counts the coin - 180 silver pieces and 130 gold pieces., He also finds a silk pouch containing five carnelians, two peridots and one pearl. At the bottom of the chest he finds two scrolls.

As they are gathered and rummaging through scrolls and chests, Autzen begins to speak; "Solaris, Rastin, Aldomain... "
"I feel compelled to share with you a decision I've made.." Autzen pauses, looks down, clearly still wrestling with his own thoughts, then addresses the group.
"Within the structure of my formal training as a fighter, I find myself at a crossroads. These last handful of encounters have only increased my need... my unquenchable desire.. for a more defined path."
"Within my family, we have had true fighting Champions, we have had legendary Eldritch Knights, capable of wielding spells and cantrips, but only one from House Knight has ever set upon a different path. On rare occasions, my father spoke of him, though it was in hushed tones, and with fear in his voice. The Morning Star, he was called, and despite the wailing prayers of those who stood before him, death and pestilence followed. Even in a house of devils, his legacy was one of such brutality, such savagery, that it was seldom spoken of."
Autzen looked down once more, as if he was steadying himself before taking a heavy mantle, "Companions, I've heard the stories, but now I hear the calling."
"I am a student of war, of death, and I will dedicate myself to becoming a true Battle Master, worthy of the The Morning Star's Red Sword of Pestilence."
-------------------------LEVEL UP (3)------------------- Battle Master - Combat Superiority (Picking 3 now) Goading Attack. When you hit a creature with a weapon attack, you can expend one superiority die to attempt to goad the target into attacking you. You add the superiority die to the attack’s damage roll, and the target must make a Wisdom saving throw. On a failed save, the target has disadvantage on all attack rolls against targets other than you until the end of your next turn. Precision Attack. When you make a weapon attack roll against a creature, you can expend one superiority die to add it to the roll. You can use this maneuver before or after making the attack roll, but before any effects of the attack are applied.
Trip Attack. When you hit a creature with a weapon attack, you can expend one superiority die to attempt to knock the target down. You add the superiority die to the attack’s damage roll, and if the target is Large or smaller, it must make a Strength saving throw. On a failed save, you knock the target prone.
Superiority Dice: I get 4 dice slots and when rolling I'll be using a d8, for now. (LVL3 d8, LVL10 d10, LVL18 d12). All dice are replenished after any rest.
A couple other traits, but this Combat Maneuver piece is the biggest buff. Woooo

Rastin, Solaris, Adolmain and Autzen enter a room that appears to be a wizard’s workshop. A rat scurries across the floor and takes refuge under a large worktable set up with alembics, retorts, distillation coils, and other alchemical devices, all of it stewing and bubbling away. Bookshelves are crowded with sheaves of parchment and strange-looking tomes. None of the party notices anything unusual in the room, other than the apparatus on the table that contains various fluids dripping into flask and containers.
Adolmain recognizes that three small bottles hold rare reagents: mercury, dragon bile, and powdered nightshade.
