Catching his breath, Sloop steps out of the ball o' darkness after hearing (but not seeing) all the commotion of the fight. Grinning ear-to-ear, he notices Misha has joined them! His emergency call using the lantern worked!
Suddenly feeling the rush of hormones flow through his veins, and wanting to impress Misha with a new skill he'd been practicing in front of the mirror when no one was looking, he calls out to Ascetic2: "Go slam yer head on a marlin spike ye pig faced butt scratchin' scurvy baboon!"

Misha, not even winded, sits down next to Kali. "Glad you are ok." she smiled broadly. "I wait weeth you." Misha pats her lap, implying where to put Kali's head.
"You can take a bit longer than that. Misha's intelligence seems to indicate that we should rest for the night before going on. But everyone wash off in the ocean before getting back on the Belle! I don't want you all tracking bits of water zombies on the boat. It's disgusting. Come on Kali, I'll help you." And Carrhae squats down and bridal carries her first mate down to the ocean, where she helps her clean up before heading back to the Belle for a night's rest. All in all a good day. Hopefully tomorrow's a good one too. She collapses into her bed, feeling exhausted from constant battle.
It doesn't take long to the hybrid to scoot herself just enough to lay her head on the paladins lap, close her eyes, and rest for the time she was allowed. Softly, she adds, "Thanks, Meesh."

Rather than get the Belle gross with zombie goop, Carrhae has everyone camp out on the island for the night while they prepare for the next battle. She stayed up later than all of her crew, except Misha who almost never went to sleep. I must be really nervous about this battle to be keeping myself awake when I should be dead tired.

The Pit of Hatred was two miles south of Firewatch Island and was sailed to in about half an hour. The rotting skeleton of a war galley’s stern looms up from the ocean bottom ahead. The sinking ship broke in half during its descent, its bow section gone missing but its stern plunged backward into the seafloor like a spike. The sandy bed around the wreckage is scattered with partially buried bones and debris. As you approach the wreck, the water becomes unnaturally cold, and the schools of fish that swarmed in the waters above are conspicuously absent.
ENTERING THE WATER: An evil energy is tainting this area. Each character that enters the area must make a DC 16 Constitution saving throw, taking 19 cold damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one. Each character must also make a DC 16 Charisma saving throw when it enters the area, gaining vulnerability to necrotic damage on a failed save. This vulnerability ends when you leave the area.
INSIDE THE SHIP: The interior of the sunken ship is a ruin. The decks have all but collapsed, creating a tangled maze where ooze and muck cling to sundered timbers and beams. An eerie, many-colored light pulses from the depths of the hull.
THE RIFT: A pulsating light composed of unnatural colors permeates this underwater cavern. The stern of the ship has broken through the cavern’s fifteen-foot-high ceiling near the center of the area. The nauseating light reveals a hideous array of piled bones, many of which clearly once belonged to humanoids — far more bones than could be accounted for by the crew of a single sunken ship. A shallow alcove opens up to the north, with a rotting sea chest set before it, leaning against the rough stone wall. Within the alcove, a funnel-shaped hollow in the cavern floor terminates at a narrow hole in the bedrock below. The pulsing light emanates from this hole.
"That obvious, huh. It's the night before a big battle against an evil enemy. It's been a while since the last big battle I've in and I suppose that I can't help but think about the way it ended. Although it's silly, I'm much stronger than I was then and you're all very strong. But still, you've all put your trust in me and it's my job to show that your trust was put in the right place."
