Minotaur
Attack: Blunt Greataxe to hit: 6
Damage: 1
As Gribz's first scimitar hits the Minotaur in its left arm it takes a step back and lifts its greataxe to block the second attack as sparks fly out on impact. With the greataxe raised, it brings it down towards Gribz.
Gribz will pirouette in place, spinning his body in a tight circle, causing the huge mass of steel to just barely miss him as it crashes into the ground near his feet. (Whew... just like we praticed...) then he will flank the Minotaur and make another two attacks against it from the rear.
As Gribz avoids the attack of the Minotaur, he dives towards the beast and sticks his scimitar in as deep as he can. The Minotaur deflects the second attack before freezing. His opponent begins to fall to one knee as Gribz runs towards the back of it. He takes his scimitar to his neck and slices in one quick movement as the Minotaur falls onto its face. The crowd goes wild and begins to cheer and shout the name Halidar!
Spoiler for Gribz, Lilith and Nadia:
When Gribz stuck his sword into the 'Minotaur', it was placed between the body and arm of the Goliath. When he slit his throat, it was all done far enough away from his actual neck so that there was no damage.
Gribz will bow and wave to the cheering crowds (Ah... I do enjoy this part...), before helping his friend and fellow theatrical gladiator to his feet. Gribz will then motion to his friend and begin raising his hands, encouraging the crowd to get louder. With a whistle, he'll call for Pig and trot over to his parents, hugging them and standing next to them as they wave to the crowd.
Lilith stands on her feet, jumping up and down, clapping her hands excitedly and cheering on Gribz. "THAT WAS AMAZING GRIBZ! WOOO!" She looks absolutely delighted.
Nadia hadn't been one for events like these (not anymore, anyways), but she kept her comments to herself, deciding it was best to indulge herself in little activities as these because who knew if this was going to be the last time she'd get to do this. Despite noticing the made-up goliath, she actually kind of enjoyed herself, perhaps not as much as Lilith did, the elven woman now hopping in place excitedly, but enough for her to have a smile on her face and join in on the applause for the performers.

Zack sat with smoldering intensity as the play worked itself out to the end. He did enjoy it but he felt there was more to it somehow, he just couldn't quite place it. He offered a light smile and a a few sincere but short claps, his sword lodged firmly in the wood or dirt beside his chair. He'd have to ask that Goblin about this.. what was his name?... Ah.. Lilith shouted it out. Gibz... Zack would need to talk to him at the earliest opportunity. Something was nagging at the back of his mind, something stirred by the stories told, and played out tonight.
Zack would then turn to the several people around him who were apparently going to be joining him tomorrow. Well, this was definitely fun an all, but I think I'm gonna turn in. Early to bed, early to rise, as they say. As he said this, he couldn't help but 'snrk' as he remembered Blighttree's comments earlier, bowing to the two ladies, he'd say Sorry to dissappoint you, but I won't be asserting my dominance over you tonight. He couldn't help but smile as the fact that Dragonborn just blurted that out in just that way.. (hahahahaha) Waving goodbye to Chad, and Blightree (OOC - and anyone else I'm OOCly forgetting to name here)
Unless stopped for something, Zack would stay long enough to hear any replies to his comments, before heading out.
Gribz basks in the adoration of the crowd for a bit before returning to his tent to stow his gear. He's distracted, body going through the motions, but mind far away... Amongst the humans and dwarves in the magical cave from Thellassian's first story. Gribz hadn't heard that one before the troupe came to Neverwinter. (Maybe a local legend...? It sounds like it had all the makings of a REAL adventure...) he thinks as he locks his personal chest. The flames of his curiosity stoked, he'll try and find Thellassian to ask him where he heard that story and for any more information Thellassian might not have shared. (If nothing else, it'll give me something to fantasize about on the supply delivery over the next few days. Oh shoot, I'd better let Thellassian know I'll be gone for a few days while I'm at it!) Gribz will then set out to find Thellassian.
OOC:
I'm headed to bed, gotta get up super early for work tomorrow. I don't feel the need to role-play the conversation between Gribz and Thellassian if the DM doesn't (that is of course, up to the DM whether or not that conversation even happens, I'm only saying this just in case). I'm fine with a brief summarization or however the DM wants to handle it. G'night all!
Gribz searches around for a short while before finding Thellassian. He lets him know that he’ll be leaving for a few days and asks about the unfamiliar story. Thellassian Is slightly upset that Gribz will be missing for a little bit but the golden Dragonborn goes on to tell him that he understands that sometimes people just need to get out into the world and see it in all its glory. He does ask Gribz for one thing in return, he wants him to listen out for any local stories and take notes about anything that could one day become a performance. Speaking of local legends, the story told tonight has a strong history in these parts but over the years, people tend to elaborate a story or forget the vital parts. He bids Gribz fair well and strides off towards his own tent.
Lilith giggles at Zack's comments and waves goodbye as he leaves. "Bye Zack! See you tomorrow." (He's so silly)
After the show has concluded and everyone has left the theatre, Lilith will turn to the group, face shining with excitement. "That was amazing! 've never gotten the chance to attend a show like this before! I'm so happy I finally got to! Well, I guess now that it's over, we should probably all head off and get a good nights sleep! We have a big day tomorrow! I'll take my leave first. See you all tomorrow everyone!" Lilith will walk away but turn back and wave excitedly at the others. She'll repeat this a few times as she skips her way back to her inn.
Nadia scoffs slightly at Zack's comment, ending it off with a laugh and a smirk playing on her lips. "Estoy seguro de que eres bueno haciendo eso," She says, accidentally slipping into her native tongue, but quickly waves a hand dismissively at that mistake. "Goodnight, friends!" She bids them all a goodbye and heads off to find herself somewhere safe to sleep for the night, excited to finally be starting her own adventure.

As the group bids their fair wells to one another, you each return to the inns, homes or tents that you are spending the night in while in Neverwinter. In the morning you wake to another slightly eerie day in the city, most of the mist has cleared but grey clouds still remain above, blocking out all traces of the sun. You find the time to gather your possessions and anything extra that you can for the road before making your way to the taproom where you see Rockseekers wagon waiting for you.
(OOC - Describe your actions for the evening, spending the amount of money stated in your ‘lifestyle’ tab for a room unless you already have a tent, home chapel etc. To stay in. Let me know if there are any pre adventure purchases that you wish to do. Once you arrive at the cart pulled by 2 oxen, discuss who your 2 cart drivers are going to be. (The 2 chosen drivers will then make animal handling checks + 2 if you have land vehicle proficiency) discuss which 2 are going to be on lookout (Chosen lookouts make a Perception check) Drivers will be at the front of the wagon, there are 2 spaces in the back of the wagon and 2 will have to walk by the side)

Lilith
As she had already packed her bags for the journey during the day and has already sent a letter to inform the Baron of the job, Lilith goes to sleep and wakes early. She has breakfast at the inn, bidding a cheerful goodbye to the Innkeeper and being sure to thank them for their service, before heading out to the wagon. On the way, she'll drop by a shop to buy 6 pitons. (OOC - 1 piton is 5cp so 3sp for 6) When she arrives at the wagon, she attempts to help out those preparing the wagon, lifting things onto the wagon and organising things. After helping out with the wagon and whilst waiting for the others to arrive, Lilith will get to know the oxen, petting them and feeding them a few treats to get them used to her. "Well, aren't you both such beautiful babies, hm? Who's a good ox? You're a good ox! Thank you for working so hard for us. I'll be sure to give you lots of treats during the journey." she says as though shes talking to a couple of puppies and not oxen that are most likely twice her size.

As Zack made his way out that night, he sighed a bit,as he mentally ticked a few boxes, trying to decide what he could afford, that he also needed. Before, he never had a chance to stop and grab anything before reaching Neverwinter, and once he got here he let himself relax for a while, not planning to be back out quite so immediately. He would pick up a few things in the morning, waking up at first light, as was his morning ritual. Zack, true to his word, went almost immediately to his room, relaxing on his warm, comfy bed for likely the last time he would for atleast a few days.
Zack woke up an hour early, however, today, he'd skip out on his morning exercises in the name of necessity to pick up a few small items after stopping by to grab a quick, but mobile breakfast, whatever he could afford within his now 5SP limit. Zack ran to the General Goods Store at a brisk jog then, (This fog really ruins a good morning view...) he thought to himself as he made his way in, purchasing an Grappling Hook for 2GP, an Two Person Tent, 2 GP, and an Blanket for 5SP. Settling each into or onto his backpack as necessary.
He greeted the store clerk jovially, offering him or her a warm smile to beat back the fog (Persuasion-smile: 7) apparently he wsan't feeling fully up to his smile, but he really did mean it! Finally once his purchases are completely stored, fastened, and ready to go, he'd make a brisk walk to the cart to wait for the others. Using this time, he would fasten his rope to the grappling hook, making sure it would be ready for when, and if, it was ever needed. (Prepare now what you need later... Or you may never be able to prepare it at all..) once this was done, he looked up, as he'd been sitting in the drivers seat as he waited, re-fastening the rope and hook to his pack, checking to make sure he had all his things, and once satisfied he'd look up to see Lillith already trying to make friends with the horses.
Intending to join me in the drivers seat? he'd ask her, before hopping down to join her in petting the horses. it'd been a while since he was last on a carriage or cart of any sort, but in his duties as a Squi.. Soldier he'd had to do it many times.
Zack (Animal Handling: 11)slowly places his hand near the horses, letting them get comfortable with him, and when they would allow it, he'd pet each of their snouts with his gloved hand. And as more of the crew began to arrive, he too would begin to assist with the finer points of preparing to head out, such as hitching the horses, loading up, and so on, before once again taking a seat in the drivers carriage, grabbing the reins.
Zack would chat with everyone, giving them all some positive words, and sayings from his hometown, each of them feelign just a little more awake than before, granting everyone in the party +4 temp HP.
