Welcome Players to the beginning of a long and random campaign. First, we begin with the backstory as none of your characters have known each other until this point and are all now locked in a large dungeon with no recollection of how you got here from last night's sleep.
Are participants currently are (I will be keeping track of each player in a google doc as they go through the world and gain items and experience)
As well all of your money has been taken and you all feel damp as you are tied up in this dark chamber. There is also the scent of mold and burning. Around you is a wet stone chamber and only those with darkvision can see. That would only apply to The Heavenly Swordsman (Nickname needed) and the rest of you can't see anything in the small 20x20 room. You don't have a gag of any kind and your gear other than armor is neatly set on the other side of the room. Only The Heavenly Swordsman can see all of this. Also, you hear the faint sound of dripping water in the distances. There also does not seem to be any exit that The Heavenly Swordsman can see (Ok, from now on your called H-Sword). The H-Sword can, however, see a cracked wall on the other side of the room. Finally, the room is filled with a heat that is sweltering almost to the point of discomfort.
Please, can everyone give me a perception check to start with? I will trust you on your rolls. If I suspect anything wrong, I will ask for a link to a saved roll in some program you use.
Shade comes to and shakes off sleep and sweat. The nose shifts, the eyes droop, and the jaw becomes hard from years of enforcing discipline on others. Sight was no good, but other clues existed: The steady dripping water, the materials of the floor, smells hinted at a fire nearby, but not in the room (obviously considering the darkness). Shade sat motionless, taking it all in.

Wirk looked around, blindly, unable to see anything beyond a few feet in front of his face. He paused for a moment, thinking about what to do. Deciding on a course of action, a tenative "Hello?" escaped his lips. He wasn't sure if he was hoping for a response at all. Half of him wondered why he was here while the other half wondered what he would do if he wasn't alone.
Golthag, wakes up with dirt on his mouth. He spits and swears. "Where is Golgthag? Why is he tied up? Where is the light?" He spits again with dirt still on his mouth.
"Who are you?" He says when he hears the "hello" near him.

Bardell is freaked out. He tries to immediately work the ropes off his body, testing their strength by flexing against them. If they hold, he keeps silent, breathing steadily and listening intently to the ambient noises of the room (and other party members) as his mind races.
Wirk let out a sigh of relief. "The name's Wirk. I take it that you're Golthag, then? Is it just the two of us, or are there more here? I can't see a thing." The changeling frowned as he felt the ropes against his body. Enough friction should cause the ropes to fray until my body weight is enough to snap them. With the thought in mind, he began to rub the ropes against each other, attempting to slowly, but hopefully successfully, break them.
From what you all can gather aside from the dank and dark dungeon chamber you are kept in, there seems to be a sound of bubbling liquid and the heat in the room also seems to be coming in through the walls. Anyone except Wirk, who does not notice this, can give me either a Nature or History Check.

Bardell is thinking - Where is this place? Who are these people? Are the ropes breaking? He will attempt a Strength ability check to break his bonds, if allowed.
(Rolled a 20 perception, so I'm picking up on clues like ambient noise, voices, reverberations, etc. We all rolled pretty well, so it seems like some of us have a pretty good idea of what kind of situation we're in. Also, who says Shade is male? That's half the fun of the character!)

[You rolled 19, and I don't think a nat 20, even with your logic, is sufficient to form a detailed map (or any map) of a room. I used he for Shade because it is singular, and singular they is poor practice.]

"There are six of us. It seems that I might be the only one who can see in the dark."
The Heavenly Swordsman tests his rope, seeing how much he can move.

Shade's head lifts up slowly, mind tracing to some bit of useful stolen knowledge from the past. (Same bonus for both, let's say Nature! 6)
Though a detailed mental map of the room forms, no insight is presented further. "Oh Hell. Not again."

"Who tied Golthag and the others here?"
Asks the barbarian trying to remember something.

[How is Shade forming a detailed mental map of the room when he can't see it?]
"We are all tied up, though I do not know who by."
