With a few flicks of the wrist, and you immediately feel a pulsing in your hand and an ever slight glow on the pack where you have stored things from the ship.
Opening the pack..
Three items glow:
Small statue of woman - Evocation - it will reach out and call someone or something
Double headed coin - Evocation
Vial of red liquid - Transmutation - it will have the effect of changing something
The pulse from the wand surprises the half-elf, making him jump slightly. "Interesting. It would seem we have acquired a few magical items, but I'll be damned if I know how to use them." Denethir looks round the group. "Anyone want to try their luck? Maybe give the statue a rub?"
Eurim gently removes an arrow and tests its sharpness on his thumb. "Good. I've got some questions for you. Now, let's keep this simple and quiet, and you just might live to see another moon- sound good?"
(OOC: FWIW, I think Nicholas has the vial and Lyle has the statue.)
Nicholas looks at the items with interest, then says, “Transmutation, huh? I mean I don’t know a lot about it, but I think something in that book Janey had said that would change things. Maybe it will change whoever drinks it into something else... And the others are Evocation? Hmmm...that’s usually a kind of a arcane power, if I remember what i read correctly. I guess it’s good to know for sure these are powerful. Perhaps we save them for when we need them for sure?”
The Goblin shrugs his shoulders than shakes his head to indicate he does speak common.

Lyle begins to flip the coin, each side seeming to come up randomly, as it flashes in the before his eyes
Wisdom save: 5
Your mind only briefly questions how it can be flashing in the pale light, before you become completely immersed in the the coin. Light woman, dark woman, light woman, dark woman. You fail to notice the encroaching tunnel vision, and fading sound of Eurim and the Goblin, until all is dark and there is only the coin flipping in the darkness.
"You summon me," says a woman's voice. It's a stern, commanding voice, like an irritated mother with a musical quality.
"He summons us, sister," says a second in a sensual, lyric voice.
"Fool, then, to summon us both."
"Nay, not fool. Ignorant of the power with which he plays. Can you not see, he carries an Envoy's coin?"
"He is not mine and he is not yours. And perhaps it is ill chance," says the first in a more soft tone, some of the irritation draining away. "I say he shall be given the choice, what say you sister?"
"By the usual rules, sister, with one exception. As he was ignorant, the choice of no choice is his. Should he choose the last, then he must bind himself to find another to take the coin. Giving no more knowledge then he has now, and not even death shall free him of his bond."
"Agreed," responds the first voice.
"Mortal, we each offer to you great powers over the arcane, if you will serve one of us. No more may we tell you, by ancient pact. To you is given a third option, which will not be given to another," the second voice says to you sending thrills down spine.
"To others, this third option would be death. To you, we offer as you have heard. You may pass this coin to another who must choose. This will be the goal of your life, and should you pass this life without fulfilling this task, your shade shall walk the realms until you do," finishes the first, her voice now sweet, and almost singing.
"Always been more interested in paintings rather than statues myself, but I suppose I could take a look. Better that than drinking some unknown concoction", he says, eyeing the vial of red liquid suspiciously. Taking the statue from Lyle, he shakes it as if to check if it is hollow, listening for any sound, before poking and prodding at it, looking for seams, switches or buttons that might activate it.
A very close examination reveals the woman’s face to have an exotic and sensuous caste, with slightly almond shaped eyes and full, lips. The slightly pointed tip of her right ear protrudes from her curly hair. The rest of her naked body is also perfectly formed, and even the tiniest detail, such as finger and toenails are represented. The oddities are the two nubs above her temples, the nubs on her shoulder blades and in the middle of her back. Almost like something was broken off, and over many years rubbed smooth.
Wiz save: 14
As you examine her again looking for clues, you seem to be continually drawn to her face, and there is a sense of awareness to the eyes.
"Well it's certainly well-made", the half-elf says as he stares at the statue's face. "She seems to have those unnerving eyes that follow you though, which I cannot abide in artwork." Sighing, he offers the statue round the room. "Whatever it does, it is not doing it for me, so I invite someone else to attempt to manipulate it."
Lyle goes stiff, but keeps quiet. “I’ll have to find someone, I suppose...” in a whisper. “I’m afraid it didn’t do much for me.” And hands it back to Denethir. Then moves quickly over to Nicholas. “Whatever you do, don’t touch strange coins.” before turning his attention back to Eurim and the goblin.
OCC: I'll be in West Virginia for the rest of the week for vacation, and not sure what kind of phone connection I will get...

The goblin shakes his head 'yes', "Caftn Kfft, Hbgbflin," he mumbles through the gag.
Lyle
The first voice responds to your whisper, "Wisdom or folly to let power slip through your fingers. But a bargain is a bargain, and to break a bargain.. You will not want the consequences."
"It is never folly to consider, and every bargain has its loopholes. You could be the one later. I think you would find my service pleasant."
As light begins to return to your sight, you feel a sensation on your back, like sensuous fingernails running down your back.
Nicholas
Drinking or no?
Something has obviously rattled Lyle, though the coin appears to flash as if in the sunshine. Odd in the dim light.
"Are you feeling okay Lyle?" The half-elf looks towards the halfling with a concerned look, before raising the coin to his face. He holds it between two fingers, moving it around to try to catch what little light is present in the room, to see if the flashing is inherent to the coin, or if it is affected by its surroundings.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.

If no one objects, Lyle will flip the coin.
