"Are you feeling okay Lyle?" The half-elf looks towards the halfling with a concerned look, before raising the coin to his face. He holds it between two fingers, moving it around to try to catch what little light is present in the room, to see if the flashing is inherent to the coin, or if it is affected by its surroundings.
Half-listening to Lyle's ramblings and paying them no heed, Denethir continues to hold the coin silently, almost staring through it at something behind it...
As you stare at the coin and open your mind, your vision dims until blackness…
“Summoned again, so soon, truly these mortals are beyond bounds!” exclaims a stern, women’s voice.
A sensuous, musical laugh answers, “Truly, sister. Perhaps this one craves power or is a dupe to the last. Now the choice is his, but this one shares a bit of our blood, I sense. So mortal, will you serve us in exchange for power over the natural order?”
The half-elf's breathing slows slightly, and a slight frown forms on his face as he seems to be somewhere else, despite still being physically in the room.
"With whom do I have the pleasure of speaking?" Denethir speaks calmly into the darkness. "To the one who speaks as if singing, perhaps you are fortunate enough that I have been duped by another, but also seek power."
He addresses both voices with a hint of anger in his own. "I have been wronged in this life, and seek revenge, along with the means to exact it. I have been cast from the highest reaches of society to the bottom rung, and may yet die here on this island without the means to survive. What are your terms of service?"
"He is eager, he seeks revenge," responds the first. "Wise to ask before he accepts."
"Yes, and he will keep the bargain. It is thus mortal, as in all things.. You must forsake your god, and serve one of us. You shall oppose our rival, slaughter our enemies. You shall be a warrior, courtier and messenger of the court. Put aside foul legends of offering up your first born child."
Denethir pauses in the darkness for only a moment. "How should I choose between you, when I know nothing of you..., your names, your rivals, your enemies? Speak plainly and I will accept."
"Does your blood not tell you who we are," queries the second voice laughing. "Oh, it is too delicious!"
"I am Qu..."
"NAY, sister, by the pack you may not tell more than he knows or can guess of us. Save we are each others greatest rivals!"
"That comes dangerously close to breaking the pack, sister. But if you will skirt so close, I may also. Our enemies abound. Any who would enter our realm, creatures of the Abyss, Outsiders, even many a mortal are counted as our enemies."
"Ohh, sister," laughs the other in a sultry voice, "so far from the letter of the pack. Mortal, should you wish to call upon me, simple take the coin and address the white side and speak 'Lady I will serve.' If you would serve my sister, do address the green lady of the coin. Until then, my scrumptious mortal morsel..."
With that, the connection breaks and you are back in the room, with a worried Nicholas looking on.
Back from wherever he had been, Denethir blinks a few times, and looks around the room. Eurim and Lusith still interrogate the goblin, Nicholas stands close with a worried look on his face, and Lyle next to him, looking nervous. His eyes narrow as they fall on the halfling.
"Anything you wish to tell me about you experience with this coin, my friend?"

“What coin?” A bit unconvincingly and deliberately looking away to focus on the goblin.
"What coin? Perhaps the very coin I hold here, the one you used to converse with the same beings I just did!"
Denethir picks up the longsword discarded by Nicholas, and points it in Lyle's direction. "What words did you exchange with them, answer me! They said I had been tricked, in what manner?"

“Hey now, crazy! If you start hearing voices, it’s got nothing to do with me! It’s magic, who knows what makes it tick?! Certainly not me.”
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.

The half-elf stares at Lyle for a few moments longer, letting his obvious lie hang in the air.
"So be it. For those who have not had the pleasure of experiencing the power of this coin... I enter into a pact with a being I know very little of, without all the facts, but I do so gladly if it will increase my chances of getting off this wretched island, and restoring some semblance of my former life"
Denethir raises the coin to his face, white side facing him, and speaks aloud to it. "My Lady, I will serve."
Nicholas looks wildly back and forth between Lyle and Denethir during this exchange, but at the half-elf’s words, he stares wide eyed and exclaims, “Wait...WHAT?!?”
OOC - It was more for RP purposes, he rolled a 2 for deception, I was rolling insight to combat it. If I had rolled a one, I might have made Denethir believe Lyle.

Eurim
The Goblin juts his chin out to the red wand, "Mfff dat." His shaking seems to indicate that he is scared enough to be telling the truth.
