Getting in a lucky strike, an arrow buryies itself in Lusith thigh for 8pts Damage
The Bottom
At the bottom you find yourself a dank chamber with rough stone walls and a damp, oppressive atmosphere. This large chamber seems to have been partitioned off into three storerooms, each piled high with crates and jars; each storage area is about 20 feet broad and 40 feet deep, and the areas are separated from one another by walls of red brick. To the south, a low shaft leads deeper into the catacombs. In the distance you hear a faint scurrying. Keestake has positioned himself at the opening into the cabin and he peers up at those still descending, a smile of wonder fills his face.
(Map on campaign page, bottom of the shaft is the red star.
Another arrow passes by Denethir as he descends, getting closer now. Hearing a grunt of pain from someone below him, the warlock aims a second blast of energy upwards, towards the second goblin.
(Would it be fair to say that Lusith would be able to spare a hand to catch the arrow that came at him? Monk trait Deflect Missiles?)
Interesting, you can't see it... how about if we split the middle... Make a DC13 Wisdom save, and you perceived/heard it and yes. I don't think at level 3 your exactly Kwai Chang Caine.
Stepping off the last rung, the half-elf moves into the storeroom, away from everyone else so as not to obscure their vision. He quickly pries the lids off a few jars, and turns to Keestake. "Shall we press on? Or is there anything stored here that could serve us?"
Once Denethir is down, Keestake moves away from the wall revealing a small hole in the brick. Before anyonr can stop him he reaches in his hand and makes a pulling motion.
A tremendous crash resounds from overhead. Then a tremendous cloud of dust rushes out of the shaft and a hail of medium to large rocks crashes to the bottom of the shaft. Finally, a solemn silence descends over the chamber. Darkness descends as the magical lights are buried.
In the darkness Keestake speaks in a quiet solumn voice, half to himself.
Well, we made it. Knew we would. We're safe and they can't get down here. Haven't been down here in a while. Remember the worst trip I ever had to make down here. Right after them first pirates left, 60 years ago. I had to do right by my sovereign, don't you think? I couldn't leave him lying there, hacked up and stripped down. Had to prepare him right and fine for the afterworld. So I hauled his body down here. Hard work that was. Dressed it up in some clothes and goods that the pirates missed. Laid it in a crypt near his son. Hauled his queen's body down, laid it between her husband and her son. That was grisly work. I was sad. Never been so sad since.
"I am sure your master and his family would have appreciated your efforts after his demise", Denethir says solemnly, making sure to pay the appropriate respect to the dead. "Shall we descend further, or rest briefly to catch our breaths, given we are no longer in immediate danger?"
Himself had a ring, something he'd found adventuring. Made things happen, if you just wished for it. But they'd stabbed him in the back before he got a chance to do any wishing. I took it off him and prayed that they'd never decay, they'd always be in one piece when it was time for the dead to rise up for the afterlife. Knew I'd done right; it always seemed his eyes followed me after that. Year after year after that, he never decayed. He's in as good a shape now as he ever was, likely. Don't know for sure. Haven't been down here in awhile.
He looks at Melesana in sadness..
You need to get used to your quarters, you know. You're going to be down here a piece. You're not leaving, you know. No more so than me.
Y'see, I really couldn't let you wander off with the Sea King's treasures and pretties. Can't let you profane the tomb of his son. What kind o' servant would I be if I let that happen?
Nicholas turns in amazement as Keestakes monologue rambles on. As he addresses Melesana, Nic begins mentally listing off spells, and is gearing himself up to cast a charm spell when Lyle’s projectile fires off.

OCC: Didn't see that coming...
Lyle
Lyle's arrow catches Keestake in his revery, piercing his lung and driving him back into the wall. As Keestake slumps to the floor, he leaves a bloody trail on the aged bricks.
"You're not going to find the entrance to the tombs. Going to die here, like me," finishes Keestake as bloody froth spouts from his old lips. The old and faithful servant now lies dead.
Melisana
With tears in her eyes for poor Keestake, and their now hopeless plight, she addresses herself to Ruki's wound

Denethir
The half-elf stares at the body of their former guide for a few seconds as Lyle talks, taking in the consequences of Lyle's actions. "I do not think you need to justify yourself friend, he literally revealed to us that we were to die down here. At least that explains why he got so upset at us taking things from the rooms upstairs..."
Denethir crouches beside the corpse, examining the hands for the ring Keestake spoke of, and for anything else of interest on the body.
That's a negative - without the ability to clearly see the goblins, Eurim will hold on to his remaining bolts.
