Lyle drops his bow and draws his scimitar he liberated earlier. He then takes a deep breath, and screams at one of the rats nearest to him before striking.
Nicholas will slip behind the line of his approaching comrades, blowing into an open palm and extending it outward as a shimmering icy ray streaks toward a rat. Ray of Frost
Attack: 22 Damage: 3 Cold and speed reduced by 10 feet until start of my next round (if hit)

Denethir
Suddenly realising that the rodents in question were not your typical harmless type, the half-elf's forearm again glows green as he fires a blast of energy at the closest one.
Eldritch Blast:
Attack: 25 Damage: 13
Unsheathing a tiny shortbow, Denethir's sprite fires an equally tiny arrow at a different rat, keeping close to his master's head.
Attack: 17 Damage: 1, plus the detail in the spoiler below.
The target must succeed on a DC 10 Constitution saving throw or become poisoned for 1 minute. If its saving throw result is 5 or lower, the poisoned target falls unconscious for the same duration, or until it takes damage or another creature takes an action to shake it awake.

Round 2
Ruki
Attack: 21 Damage: 7
Ruki swings his short sword, slicing another in half
Denethir
A blast of light issues from his hand frying a rat (rat on a stick anyone?)
Sprite
The sprite tiny bow is enough to strike a wounded rat and send it to the afterlife
Nicholas
With a beam of cold energy, Nicholas freezes the final rat to the floor.
Following the combat, Melesina examines the wounds. "These rats carried some disease. With the Goddess help, I can cure it, but it will leave me unable to heal should we need it. What do you think?"
OCC: Sorry for the delay guys, RL has been a killer this week between work and a virus at home.
Eurim retrieves the dagger and gingerly inspects it. He cleans the blade on a small rag torn from his ragged shirt, and looks back to the group. "Consider the time. Lyle, if you feel worse, let her know, and we'll cross that road when we get there. For now, let's keep moving. Stay ahead of the gobs."

“Agreed. I’ll just stay back from the front.” Lyle says gingerly examining his wounds.
(If I read the map correctly, there are doors in the room that we are currently in? If those are just boxes, I'm not sure that there is a way forward beyond this room. It seems like there is another exit on the northern side of the current map, though that might not be right.)
So you returned to L28 for the fight with the rats, as Lyle and Nicholas were investigating the area.
The area between 40 and 48 is a brick building inside the room, with multiple doors. The area has not had a visitor in a long time as dust is thick on the floor.

(That's what it looked like, but I wasn't sure.)
Eurim will try the handle on one of the doors into the brick building, wondering at its design and unusual placement. As he steps forward, can he tell anything about the architecture or purpose of the building?
The outer walls have been hewn from a natural cae, enlarging it to its present size nearly a hundred years ago. The inner walls, were constructed of brick and the combination of cool temperatures and slight moisture has kept the mortar in good condition for many, many years.

As you open the door, there is a click followed by the loud TWANG of a crossbow's iron string snapping.
Opening the door you see an old crossbow was set up many years ago to fire when the door was opened. Age and rust caused the string break on release.
Inside the room, are the petrified remains of a bed, a night stand and a few shelves. The room probably would have served as a bedroom should the inhabitants above had time to escape and close the tunnel behind them.

Calling upon your pool of stamina, you attempt to heal yourself, but none of the wounds heal. Your strike, however, cuts a rat in twane.
Lusith
