Lusith will take a moment to compose Keestake, "Rest in peace. The solitude must have been too much for him. If anyone needs to rest, now would be the time, who knows what we'll face next." Then he'll start to move towards the collapsed tunnel to make sure noone can get through.
The collapse was not as total as the designers hoped would have hoped. Bricks, head sized rocks, boards and beams have blocked the shaft for anything larger than a cat. Through the holes left in the collapse, you can see that several supports failed to give way on the wall opposite the rungs. It should only take a couple of hours of work before it would be cleared enough for goblins to descend. Slightly longer for the larger Orcs.
"A sound plan, we cannot keep this pace up all day." Denethir slumps against a stone wall, and starts devouring some of the rations they picked up at the start of this mess.
"A shame Keestake showed his hand at that point, he could have had a last meal with company, good or otherwise." He silently toasts the corpse with a piece of food, before popping it into his mouth.
Eurim gives Lyle a tap on the shoulder as he walks over towards the southern exit, keeping watch in that direction. As he passes, he quietly speaks. "Nice shot. Don't forget your arrow. We'll need every one."
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Lyle visibly relaxes at the affirmation from Eurim and Denethir. “Crazy ol...” And mutters to himself. He will not rest, instead gathering his arrow from Keestake’s body and going closer to the store room to the north to check it out and clear his head.
Nicholas looks in surprise as the arrow takes Keestake. He doesn’t say anything as Lyle gathers his arrow and begins to explore, he just nods quietly and sits down and keeps an eye on their entrance.
(If we are taking a short rest, I’ll recover some spell slots.)
It is difficult to rest, with the noise of Goblins clearing the passage of debris, but you manage it.
Investigating the north room, you find four large, empty bins. Into two of them are etched the word "grain", the other two say "apples", and "roots" respectively. There is nothing else in the room, nor anything unusual about the walls (10 minutes for the search).
The south room is stacked almost wall to wall, floor to ceiling, with crates pilled almost haphazardly on top of each other. The crates are of all sizes and dimensions from the smallest 1x1x1 to the largest 4x4x4. On the left-hand side, there seems to be enough room for a person to sidle sidewise through between the creates and the walls.
While the others explore and decide how to slow the goblin/orc advance, Denethir sits cross-legged on the floor, holding his coin, which glows slightly. Eyes shut, he speaks words not recognisable to the others (Sylvan), appearing to both be in conversation with something, and chanting the words to a lengthy spell.
He continues to do so until the coin glows brighter, and appears to split into two identical glowing coins. Letting one coin go, it hovers in the air of its own accord for a second, before coalescing into a small sprite. The creature looks around the room, adjusts its tiny sword and bow on its person, before landing on Denethir's outstretched palm and performing a graceful bow.
The half-elf says something in Sylvan to the small creature looking up at him.
OOC - I don't think anyone can speak Sylvan but me, so I'll put my conversations with my familiar in spoilers, but feel free to read them anyway.
"Welcome, friend. We may have need of you in the coming hours."
“Uh... Nicholas? What is all this? It seems weird.” Lyle carries on busting up crates and carrying the now bite size wood pieces to build a fire at the bottom of the shaft.
Seeing Lyle's pyromantic efforts, "As much as I'd like the idea of burning out the goblins, are we sure it won't kill us too? Also, I think there's a small passage back here, if we go through it then smash enough cratea to block it behind us, they may not realize where we went."
Hidden inside Keestake's robes is a small sharp dagger he managed to pick up along the way.
From a distamce the north room appears to contain large wooden bins, the center shelves, the the South filled floor to ceiling with crates.
There is an exit on the south wall

Lyle is going to take the crates out of the south room and stack them up for a fire by the shaft leading up that was blocked. “Smoke them out?”
Paladin - warforged - orange
(DM would it be possible to finish destroying the remaining supports and fully collapse the shaft?)

Lyle
Climbing the outside of the crates to the top, you find even the smallest to be extremely heavy. Too heavy to carry down.
Nicholas
Though you can not physically reach the supports, I can think of several ways to accomplish this.
Denethir
Your action takes an hour, so let's see what others come up with first.

Can I bust the crates up?
Paladin - warforged - orange
Absolutely...
Breaking open the first crate, you find it filled with dirt and broken bricks.
