"Finally," Eilikasys says, sliding down off her chair. She begins marching toward the door, not looking to see if anyone is following.
Ebokk puts on his pack. "The coach will get us to Mantrelle before midday. It will take us several days to reach the island, but our first stop will be to return Eilikasys to Waterdeep."
"Home sweet home," the gnome comments over her shoulder, clearly listening, despite her projected indifference.
"Wow, Ebokk, that's fascinating!" Erric nods along, utterly transfixed. When Eilikasys gets up to go, he leaps to his feet. After Ebokk gives his travel plan, Erric says.
"Did you say coach? Finally, some civilization and luxury! Did you know we walked through the woods for almost a day? Twice?" When he realizes Eilikasys will be going with them, at least to Waterdeep, he turns to her.
Eilikasys pauses on her way to the door, but doesn't turn around to reply to Erric, "Normally."
"She doesn't really like the Nightshade," Ebokk says in almost a whisper to Erric. "She's used to more luxurious accommodations. I was in a bit of a hurry when chartering this ship, and ... well ... my family's funds aren't as plentiful as they once were. But she's a good ship," he says brightly. "More than adequate for this journey. The crew, too."
The gnome opens the front door and steps out into the street, not bothering to close the door behind her.
Maldorn gasps at Erric’s comment: “Young Neric, if a couple of days trekking through the woods is something of note to you, then you know little about the bounty nature can offer. Once this is over, I invite you and the rest of our companions to a week’s worth of camping and hunting. Now that is a reward in itself, isn’t that right, Sagitta?”
Maldorn then grabs his adventuring gear and follows the gnomish lady.
"Urff," Jambiya says as she takes some of Anafrey's weight. "You can sleep some more of it off in the coach," and she hooks her backpack with a free arm and stumbles out with Anafrey. "Erric! Can you go make sure we have all of 'Frey's stuff? I'm not even sure she brought anything, but if she did it's probably by the chair she was in."

Ebokk hurries outside after Eilikasys, looking a little concerned about the open door, but then when he sees everyone else following, he seems to decide it's OK.
When the others exit, they find an enclosed carriage driving up. It is a fairly nice-looking carriage being drawn by two horses. The driver is human, though his facial features give the hint he may have some elven lineage somewhere up his family tree. The elderly gnome waits patiently as the carriage comes to a halt. The driver climbs down and hurries to open the door and help Eilikasys into the coach, clearly used to pampering her. Ebokk stops at the foot of the step and turns to smile at the party as it makes its way, however disjointedly, toward the carriage.
"I'm afraid I was really only expecting one or two to join us, so we'll be a little snug inside," he says apologetically. "But it's only a few hours, so we should be fine. Ladies on the left and gentlemen on the right?"
A look inside, and it's clear it's a four-person coach, but room enough for three on each bench seat so long as they're not goliaths. Eilikasys does not look happy about having to share her bench with two others. But, really, when have you seen her look happy?
Jambiya's mystical weather vane has a cloud hovering above it. She looks up and sees pretty heavy cloud cover.
Eilikasys looks aghast as Anafrey is dropped onto the floor of the carriage. When the huntress begins snoring, the gnome rolls her eyes and sighs loudly.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Erric makes sure before leaving to check for Anafrey's belongings and secures them in the carriage.
When Jambiya jumps to the top of the carriage, he looks like he wants to follow, but seeing Eilikasys unhappy at her companions, he continues to engage her in small talk, asking her about her various adventures, the favorite places she's traveled, how her family is doing, how Waterdeep's been lately. He gives her stories about his recent adventures, knowing pretty confidently that she can easily see they are tall tales and fabrications, and that he is not really best friends with famous adventurers, and hasn't really saved the lords of Waterdeep from certain peril on a monthly basis, but trusting that they're entertaining stories (performance 15) to pass the time. If she does not seem to enjoy them, or if she falls asleep or ignores him, he'll vault himself up and clamber to the roof of the carriage while it's moving to get a breath of fresh air and to talk with the driver and Jambiya (acrobatics: 9).
After Erric and Maldorn board the carriage and take the bench facing Eilikasys, Ebokk joins the gnome on her bench. The driver closes the door, assists Jambiya as she climbs up, and joins her up top. "If we're going to be sharing the driver's seat," the man says in a very smooth, almost melodic voice, "I guess I'd better introduce myself. Jarvin Meel," he says, laying his open palm against his heart and giving her a pleasant smile. "And these are Olexis and Sephra," he says, indicating the left and then the right horses. Jarvin is tall and slender, with cocoa-colored skin. Up close, those hints of elven heritage are even stronger — especially in his nose, chin and brow line. He doesn't seem at all bothered by the fact that he's sharing a seat with a goblin.
[Insert any response from Jambiya]
As the journey begins, and Erric immediately attempts to distract from any unpleasantness by entertaining the coach's occupants with story upon story, it works perfectly. Laughter rises at regular intervals. Eilikasys relaxes and even lets herself smile from time to time as she watches the halfling with eyes full of curiosity and mirth. Ebokk is all too eager to join in as much as possible, asking questions and challenging Erric in a playful way when the tales seem too much to believe. He proves to be a fairly handy storytelling wingman, boosting the emotion at all the right moments.
OOC: I don't want to do too much and leave anyone out who'd like to contribute to this part of the RP, so I'll pause here.

Maldorn helps Erric, and presumably the driver, secure all the gear. He takes a seat where indicated, making sure not to step on Anafrey as she gets cozy on the floor. He even fluffs up one of the fancy carriage's small seat-pillows and places it under Anafrey's head.
While Erric is talking everyone's ears off, Maldorn spends his time looking out the window and showing the scenery to Sagitta, and naming all the wildlife he spots and is able to (nature: 10 - using double proficiency assuming at least some of the scenery is forest).
When the stories get especially entretaining, Maldorn cannot help but join in, laughing loudly and wholeheartedly alongside the others. He offers everyone a cigarette and smokes a few of them himself. He eventually takes an old-man nap.
"It is a pleasure to meet you, Master Meel, I'm Jambiya Seldom-Kettlegrip. And a delight to meet you, two, as well," she calls down to the horses. "Such pretty names! Do, um, do let me know if there's anything I can do for you on the trip. I very much appreciate your help getting us to Waterdeep."
Then she turns back to Jarvin, smiling a charmingly jagged-toothed smile. "I've only just discovered I have a talent for speaking to animals. It's only polite to introduce myself, no?"
She takes a deep breath. "The weather looks like it might stay cloudy, but that should keep it from getting too hot, right? I've never been to Waterdeep."

"Please, call me Jarvis." He leans close to Jambiya and gives her a toothy grin. "My friends call me Arvey," he says conspiratorially. He leans back. "You can talk to animals, can you? Well, don't believe anything these two tell you about me," he says with a chuckle.
"Headed to Waterdeep, are you? I've been there a time or two. Too commercial for my pleasure. I prefer the open spaces and small towns like Seldom Spring and Mantrelle. The people are more real," he says, looking a little prideful.
"Oh, no," Jarvis responds. "It would take us close to a tenday to get to Waterdeep by carriage. I'm taking you to Mantrelle. I understand you have a ship there waiting for you." He looks a little concerned. "Isn't that right?"
"Oh..." Jambiya thinks back. (Her player reads back.) "You must be taking Miss Eilikasys there after you drop us at the boat! I just got confused." She smiles at him, and as the trip begins, makes small talk about the trail and life on the road with him and with the horses.
When Maldorn calls out, she will lean over and look back at him and the snake. "Hey little green-like-me, do you like the trip? Maldorn is funny, isn't he?" and she winks at Maldorn.
