Jambiya's fingers elongate into sharp stakes and drip something that hisses as she strikes at the crab holding her! Unfortunately, the shell-encased claws seem almost impervious to her attack.
Ebokk, his eyes wide, bites his lip as he clings to his shield. He waves it here and there, usually managing to get it in exactly the right spot a few seconds too late.
"Let go of her!" Erric roars (a tiny roar, but a roar) as he sees the (pink) crab pick up Jambiya.
He pokes at the crab with his rapier yet again, getting fairly used to crab-murderin' by this point.
Attack: 10 Damage: 9
(I'm skeptical that Erric would have advantage on this crab but I don't 100% understand the ins and outs of the flanking rule, so ignore the second roll if no flanking, and don't if flanking.)(Neither roll worked so... no matter!)
Holding Jambiya in one of its claws, the (pink) crab turns and attempts to take a chunk out of Anafrey. (Claw attack: 9, damage: 2 bludgeoning damage) The huntress dodges out of the way of the attack. At the same time, the crab tries to squeeze the life out of Jambiya. (Claw attack: 16, damage: 4 bludgeoning damage)
The (gray) crab swings again at Maldorn. (Claw attack: 13, damage: 5 bludgeoning damage) The hunter bats away the first claw and readies for the second. (Claw attack: 13, damage: 3 bludgeoning damage) The second is deflected just as properly.

After jesting about getting lunch for the whole crew, Maldorn takes a better look around and realizes that his companions have not been as lucky in dodging these crabs' attacks as he has. "We better put an end to this soon, friends!"
Now facing Gray once again, Maldorn tries to shank it dead:
-> Dagger vs. Gray: Attack: 15 Damage: 4 piercing.
If this is enough to kill Gray, Maldorn will then circle around to G9 (or to I9 in case he is not allowed to stand atop Green's body), whistling at Pink to try to call it's attention away from his friends.
(@DDP: In case Gray dies from the first attack, would you let the second attack be made against Pink after moving?)
"We better put an end to this soon, friends!" Maldorn switches both daggers to a reverse knife grip and swings the first hard at the (gray) crab. The creature screeches, falling dead. The hunter leaps over the corpse, dances around Anafrey (move to I10), and swings his other dagger at the (pink) crab. This attack hits home as well, doing a little more damage to the final crustacean.
OOC: I hope you're OK with the improvisation, Maldorn.

Anafrey would wipe the sand and hair from her face as she planted her feet hard into the sand. She would then scramble around to flank the creature before lunching once more towards the crab, throwing her bodyweight into attack as the tries to drive both weapons into the large creature.
With a grunt and a lunge, Anafrey drives both the broken rapier and her dagger downward into the back of the final crab. Despite the toughness of the shell, her mighty attack pierces the creature in two places through its armor. It gives a feeble screech, the collapses.
Aside from the relentless crashing of waves and the buzz of the blowing wind, the beach is quiet.
Ebokk sinks to the sand and then lays back, releasing a sigh of relief. "Ouch," he says with no emotion.
Erric runs up the side of the fallen crab, takes a wide stance on top, holding his tiny fists and flexing hard in a post-battle cathartic pose (think Belkar Bitterleaf), letting out a small bellow, which quickly gives way to a whimper as he notices his wounds for the first time, and he sees Jambiya getting out of the crab's claws. He runs to her. "Are you alright?!"
After he catches his breath and confirms his friends are okay, he'll look up and say, "How.... did that happen? I didn't even notice there were giant crabs on the beach. Are there more?!" He turns and adopts a fighting stance, eyes darting everywhere. (Perception: 3)
Maldorn echoes Ebokk, also releasing a sign of relief. He drops onto the sand and says: "Well, If there is anyone in this island, I'm sure they don't visit the beach very often." After a few seconds of resting in the sand and noticing everyone is a bit roughed up but generally alright, he rises and goes to the edge of the water to clean his oozy daggers. Coming back towards the group, he asks: "Do we need to take a few minutes to properly recuperate? perhaps a hour-long nap under the sound of crashing waves?"
He also spends a few seconds examining one of the dead crustaceans, wondering if they are fit to eat or if they can perhaps be scavenged for any useful parts:
Anafrey would pull out the rapier with a spray of fluid before collapsing with her back against the crab. Breathing hard, she would recline backwards against the hard shell of the creature before pulling out a flask and downing a few large gulps. After wiping her mouth with the back of her hand, she would spit into the sand next to her before looking to her companions. "Well.. If these are the creatures just wandering along the beach... I cannot wait to see what is hiding deeper inland..." she would say before taking another swig and sliding the flask into her belt.
Jambiya clambers out of the claw with Erric's help, dusting herself off. She is very wounded, bruised and bleeding, and has a bad limp from where she landed. "Thanks, Erric, I think we're all a little worse for wear, I was so worried when all the crabs were playing snatch-grab with you! I'm so glad you're okay."
To Maldorn's comment she says, "Yes, the fox we met said it had never seen humanoids before, so I'm willing to say we are the only ones, at least on this side of the island."
She limps over to join Maldorn where he is examining the crab/food. "I think we could turn this into a pretty good feast. Maybe it's time to rest a little and cook? We'll need driftwood," and she looks about.
Maldorn, your time as caretaker of the Seldom Spring hunting lodge fills your mind with all kind of ideas for what you could do with the giant crab carcasses. Unfortunately, aside from harvesting the meat in a somewhat crude way, you're not sure how to do anything further. You might be able to fashion a shield, but it will take you a while to do so with no actual shield-making experience.

"I definitely need a rest and to bandage my wounds -- do we think the beach is safe enough for us to do that?" Eric says, cleaning off his rapier on the sand and sheathing it. "Should we scout around a bit to make sure we won't get surprised? I wouldn't say no to rowing back out to the ship and resting safely there and then perhaps going to the shipwreck after a good night's sleep."
If others want to stick around the beach, Erric will take a short rest with them after looking around again (perception: 18) for other signs of life/odd things/activity, and helping Maldorn chop off a crab claw from one of the crabs. "We might be able to eat it, or it might come in handy as a distraction if we run into something weird."
He'd be okay cooking some other crab meat if that's what Jambiya wants to do.
"Ebokk, how are you doing? That was rather unexpected. Did any of your research say anything about giant crabs?"
All of a sudden, in the middle of discussing cooking the crab and escaping back to the boat for a feast and some rest, Jambiya plops to the sand, landing in a sitting position with her head in her hands. She appears to be crying. "This is... not fun! <sob> This is... we almost, I almost died! This isn't like the stories! I could have... <sob> I could, and... or Erric could have died... and I couldn't help, and what good is talking to animals if they don't listen? I just, it's not... ahhhh!" she lets out an angry scream, balling her fists and punching the air. Then she falls back and lays there, tears streaking her young green face, staring up at the sky.

Erric stops talking as soon as Jambiya starts reacting to the battle and watches her, listening to her words and realizing that he hasn't even begun to process the fight and how close those crabs had him to death. After she screams and then falls back, he very quietly says, "You're... right. I was a rag doll in their claws. I survived only with the help of my friends, and some amazing luck. I.... don't know what to say. We're here for you."
He walks over to her, and slowly sits down cross-legged a couple feet away from her. He looks up at the sky every once in a while. Looks back at the island. Looks off into the middle distance, not seeing anything. He's... quiet. Steadier than you've seen him.
Erric, you look briefly down the beach, but you don't see any other signs of life, odd things or activity.
Ebokk starts to answer Erric, still lying on his back, but when Jambiya laments, the dwarf slowly sits up and watches her with concern. After Erric sits down, Ebokk looks at his hands for a moment and then at the little goblin girl. "But none of us did die," he says quietly. "And you did help." He looks around at each of the others, his customary smile almost visible. "I took a risk hiring you, but I'm glad I did. I think you're all going to just the ticket to helping me find out what happened to my father."
Erric suggests eventually that after the short rest, they could take the rowboat and row around the shipwreck to get a closer look, and perhaps not actually try to board without getting a full night's rest back on the ship. "Assumedly we'll discover some things we'll want to consider as we get a closer look at the wreck, which we can do tonight, and then actually try to get on board when we're fresh in the morning?"
