The traps on the path! I show you, so they don't get you! I lead the waaaaaayyyyyyy! His voice trails off as Absinthe tries to pull his spine out with his skull.

While the spine holds, you hear a *CRACK* as Blib's neck breaks and he goes limp.
Disagree my friend. Goblins care not where their brethren are. I have but one healing spell left. we have a better chance at night and we should be at full capacity should our silent infiltration fail
You forget the facts they were sent to this spot to grab our friends then sent back to grab the caravan from their high chieftain there absense will go very noticed.
Absinthe drops the lifeless body of the goblin on the ground.
"We should definitely keep an eye open for traps ,both along the way and inside the caves. If we rest for a bit now we can make it by nightfall, hopefully we can catch them before they start to eat our friends for dinner."
Before I take a short rest I want to start brewing some ale.
A most stern tone and a glaring look on my face " I wasn't done with that. If we are going to work together than we need to work with eachother. I think we could have kept him, and if I'm not going to be able to have an opportunity to address my whims, I'll take my whims back to a tavern. Where I'm most comfortable to begin with."
What are you going to keep it in? You have no cask or barrel. Also brewing ale is a longer process than that. You'll have to do that in your downtime I think. You have the tools, but I think you'll need a good place to set them up to brew anything. Sorry, There's a couple rules for crafting out there and I'm not sure which ones I want to use yet, but I know it will not be during rests, because that's not restful activity.

Hymir snatches up two scimitars. They are crafted rather rough, and while you don't think this will effect their function, the rough look gives away the fact that goblins made them. There are still 2 more goblin scimitars, and 4 each: Shield, shortbow. The leather armor however, is goblin sized and useless to any of you. It also stinks, horribly. Goblins, you surmise, don't wash themselves. You'd be hard pressed to even sell it. You can all declare what, if anything you want to keep for yourself, and we can put the rest in a "Party Loot" we can keep in the campaign notes if you'd like. Or you can just leave it there. Up to you all.
So you all unanimously decide to take a long rest, with no fuss. None whatsoever. It was an easy decision. We're resting long here.
The oxen pull the cart into an area of heavy brush, unseen from the road. You all feel like it will be safe there. Since you're going to be sleeping, we'll say the food you foraged will last another day, so you can forage tomorrow if need be. You get some rest in the shade and take turns looking out. Nothing happens for the rest of the day, besides the one wagon you hear rolling by.
You all heal up to full HP! You all regain all your spell slots, and any abilities that refresh during a short of long rest.
Please include in your next post:
-What you're taking from the loot, if anything, and if you'd like to take it and sell it later
-Marching order for after the rest
-Any discussion you have on how to go about getting to the cave.

Ok I will look into what it takes to brew more. I have no need for any of the loot so my vote is to collect everything we don't need to use, put it in the cart and sell it when we get to town
"You are right, we should communicate better together as a party. In the future I will refrain from decapitating our hostages until we have all decided what to do. However, I felt this one has told us all he knew and may have tried to escape or warn the rest of the clan when we got closer. If I am wrong for that I will repent to my God."
I will take point in the marching order when we are ready to head out again. Unless someone in the party is better skilled to be point man, in which case I'll go second.
Look, all I'm saying is that when it comes to movement we need our best eyes forward, 15-25 feet scouting ahead. 10-15 in closer quarters. Call me crazy but we almost lost 2 just to 4 goblins and we are gonna approach 11 how? What if we bring some shovels, and take control of our next engagement if we can? Honestly, you took my fun away with that goblin, and my entertainment is the only reason I'm out here. I have all sorts of uses for living bodies before they are surely of no use to us all, and he may have been more useful. He did say there were traps.
-I got my 2 scimitars I suggest we put the rest in the caravan to sell also at a later time we should discuss how we want to split loot my 2 suggestions are either:
we loot what we need sell the rest split evenly
or take what you need and that comes from the entirety of the loot as a whole
-Would being behind our enlightened friend here greatly impede your ability to see the road I only ask because I worry having our only healer in the front may prove problematic may I suggest Absynthe, Az Emeri, Dirk, then myself with Fjolnir either a floater or in front of me?
Fjolnir pilfers through the musty goblin remains. "Hmm.." He scratches his groin aggressively while musing the weapon. "Not much to these'ns here, eh? Pointy end goes here. I'll have one if no one else has preference. Better'n a toothpick."
"Im good with the quiet feller taking point- i'll track them if we get led afield, but ill follow 20 paces or so behind. I've run into these shits before, they're keen to get startled if yer scary enough. With my size, usually that isnt the case." He leans over to Dirk..."Oi, if you can talk them out of their purses...?"
I was thinking along the lines of a highly perceptive, and either tanky or sneaky scout. I wouldn't be Keen about putting our healer up there either but if he's got the top two it might be ideal all the same as long as we're in distance to intercept
(Beau go ahead and add a scimitar to your sheet if you haven't already. So I will add to the Party Loot, 1 Scimitar, 4 Shields, and 4 Shortbows, to be sold later.)
After a good rest, and under the cover of night, Az Emberi takes point, keeping a lookout for traps. Then, a little way back, Absinthe, Dirk, Hymir and Fjolnir are in a line. (if there are any objections to this order, go ahead and reposition yourself IC)
I forgot to ask, it is dark, and Absinthe and Hymir do not have darkvision. Are you using a light source?
Heading down the path for about 10 Minutes, Az Emberi notices a crude snare trap, poorly hidden, but easily missed if you were running after a fleeing goblin, perhaps. He points it out so you can all move around it.
After another 10 minutes, he just barely notices a faint "edge" in the path, right before he stepped on it. He bends down and discovers it is the edge of a pit trap, wide enough to take up the whole path. You have to go in the bushes, but you're able to circumvent this trap as well, thanks to Az Emberi's perception in the dark.
You continue along the path for another 90 minutes or so, and then Az Emberi sees the mouth of the cave 60' away, at the edge of his vision.
Once I know if you're using light or not, I will post another update, including a map of the site.

This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
If they are using light I say "extinguish your lights" as I see the cave. I open myself to all the sounds and smells in the area to see if they have guards posted. Az Emberi asdumes they would and I would like advantage on the roll. But if I dont get advantage use the first roll posted.
lol, OK at this point I'll say whoever was using light doused it anyway, so no worries. It is night but I'm going to go ahead and say it's dim, not completely dark, so those without darkvision simply have disadvantage on Perception, not attack rolls.
Az Emberi gets a clearer picture of the surrounding area. The cave mouth is in a hillside. A shallow stream flows out of the cave mouth, which is screened by dense briar thickets. A narrow dry path leads into the cave on the right-hand side of the stream. These thickets are much thicker thickets than the thickets on Triboar Trail, they cannot be seen through, but Az Emberi hears what seems like muted conversation ahead and to the right.
The traps on the path! I show you, so they don't get you! I lead the waaaaaayyyyyyy! His voice trails off as Absinthe tries to pull his spine out with his skull.
