In the morning, while eating dragon meat and carving apart the rest of the dragon's bits, you start to hear birds chirping, a sound you haven't heard the entire time in Thundertree. It's as if they are announcing to nature the death of the beast that kept them silent. A wave of sound picks up from there. Normal forest sounds that should have been there, and now that they are, make you realize all the more how disconcerting it was to be in total silence. Fjolnir, however, still feels uneasy.
Through this unease, he starts picking apart the husk of Venomfang. First, the scales, and teeth, probably the easiest. You break a few teeth on your first attempts, but once you get the hang of it, you end up with a small mound of dragon teeth. The same is true of the scales, once you get a good method it's fairly easy going.
With Absinthe's help lifting so that Fjolnir can cut easier, You saw off the dragon's head right at the first vertebra. Very cleanly done, but it is heavy. You pop out the remaining eye with relative ease and sever the nerve.
The internal organs prove more difficult. While you manage to cut out the heart intact, the liver gets sliced through, and you only retrieve half.
Then the poison glands. There are two, and they look delicate. As if it was foretold, Fjolnir's inexperience with dragon disection, even with help, proves unfruitful, and in fact, the organ is damaged, spilling concentrated green dragon poison onto Fjolnir's hands and arms, doing 42 Poison damage. (Make a CON Save DC 14, and due to your damage resistance, take 21 damage on a failure, 10 damage on success)
In total, you harvested: 90 pounds of scales/hide, 22 teeth, His head, heart, and eye, half of his liver, and a scathing wound on your extremities. (Sung to the tune of 12 days of Christmas)
Unless you do something with the heart, liver and eye, it will rot. The scales and teeth will be fine, as will the skull, but the flesh around it is going to get nasty.
Dirk perceives it is exactly that. (That more likely would've been done with insight, but with that high a roll, it's still good) Knowing the axe was made with the specific intent to cut through wood, its wielder probably feels that the woods themselves are watching him, and they know he has that axe meant to kill them, and don't like him very much.

I stretch and head to the building Redolth is thouht to hold up in. Unconcerned with if anyone follows me or not. I dont take any trophies from the dragon. I di think about pisding on it but overcome the instinct and walk past.
About 20' away from Reidoth's hut you hear a whistle. You knock on the door but it's already open, and it slowly creaks inward. You see Reidoth, staring at you, sipping from a cup. A small bird flies in through the window and lands on his shoulder. It chirps at him and leaves. There is a place already set for a second person, with a cup full of steaming liquid. "Tea, Springwarden?"

Fjolnir rinses his blistered forearm while chewing dried dragon strips. He pokes Dirk with his unstrung bow, looking across town at the tea and chatting through the window. ..."mmf.... *Chew ...eh **** ye think 'es clabberin about." ....*stare. ....*chew
It's a tea party right? What do all the little girls like to gab about when they are pretending to be pretty princesses? ..... Boys, they are talking about boys.
Reidoth takes a long sip of tea while maintaining eye contact... "Yes." He takes another sip. "Springwarden is the first rank of the Emerald Enclave. Welcome."

I would like to know more of this Emerald Enclave. What is their mission? Whst will be expected of me now that I'm a member? Where is our organization based?
Other questions I would like to ask in conversation but not all at once.
I show him the glass eye. Have you ever heard of a wizard or group that uses this symbol on their clothing?
I give an abridged version of my backstory.
Are you an expert on wildshape? Why can't I turn into a wolf?

"To restore and preserve the natural order, keep the elemental forces of the world in check, keep civilization and the wilderness from destroying one another, and help others survive the perils of the wilderness. Most of us work on our own. If you do your best to destroy threats to the natural order, and help others in need, you'll do well. We don't have a headquarters, per se, but you may find representatives sometimes.
I show him the glass eye. Have you ever heard of a wizard or group that uses this symbol on their clothing?
He takes it and looks it over. "Maybe? I can't recall. A personal symbol, perhaps."
I give an abridged version of my backstory.
"Oh that's interesting, it sounds like a more powerful version of the Polymorph spell. A very powerful wizard indeed, perhaps even matching the ability of wizards like Melf, Mordenkainen, Tasha, and the like if he can create new spells. I would look for this star symbol, and make sure he's not upsetting the natural order. If he is, be careful, one wizard with that much power is not to be taken lightly." He gives the glass eye back.
Are you an expert on wildshape? Why can't I turn into a wolf?
Reidoth squints at you. He sets his tea down, grabs his walking stick and stands up, making his way around the table. He places his hand on your head and closes his eyes. He concentrates for a minute. "I believe that answer lies within yourself."He sits back down and smiles, sipping his tea again.
Sildar chimes in. "Well, gentlemen, I'm glad, along with surprised, that we all made it out of the fight on the right end of the dragon's mouth. That will ultimately extend the life of Phandolin and the surrounding area. And since your clearing of Cragmaw Castle, even though it's going to be repopulated, I owe you some reward money. A deal is a deal after all. Shall we head back to Phandolin? Your payment is there, and I believe Gundren has something for you too."

I thank Redolth and finish my tea. "You've given me much to ponder. Safe travels friend." I rejoin the group and prepare to leave thundertree for phandelver
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
With no more dragon looming over you, physically or otherwise, you head South out of Thundertree. 6
You keep outside of the wood, on the same familiar path you've grown accustom to in your many trips back and forth to Thundertree. Having made the trip before, you know if you keep this pace you'll be in Phandalin by the end of the third day. You also have enough dragon meat to last until then. (I need to know if you are eating the heart and half liver that you have, if you are not, how are you keeping them?)
The first day goes by with no issues, and you travel until you've had enough, the sun starts going down and you start to set up camp. 1432
I have no idea how to keep this...... guess we'll just eat it.... and all that limp dick money I was hoping to make. I'll take first watch, 13 Perception
OK, I think Dustfinger usually takes 2nd and Fjolnir 4th, Right? We'll go with that so the non-darkvision-ers don't need light to keep watch, as per the usual.
Dirk takes first watch, nothing happens.

The ones on Dirk and Az Emberi come down at their heads with the hilts of their longswords: Dirk: Attack: 21 Damage: 8 Az Emberi: Attack: 22 Damage: 4 (I noted damage on both your sheets)
Initiative: 4
Az Emberi and Dirk may roll initiative and act.
Absinthe and Fjolnir are asleep and restrained with rope around their wrists. They can be woken up but cannot act until the next round. They can roll initiative if they want, to act when they're awake.
Dustfinger is at 0 HP but stable, also restrained with rope. He cannot be woken up normally, but any healing will wake him, at which time he can join the initiative order.
