[OOC] Perception to see if there's wood or something on the ground he can burn: 24
'Planting the butt of his staff in the cold-emnating stone floor of the cavern, Vaken summons the unbending might of the natures stone-hard bones into his weapon, as the exiled tribesman has done before, as he did upon the rise against the undead who came against him. Relieved, the goliath sense the earth and stone respond, feels it rush into his staff, his shillelagh ... but not as it has done before. Instead of manifesting the browns and greens of soil and shoot, his hardening, cooling weapon takes on a matt grey cast, shot through with highlights of bone white and a cold icy blue. Still, the nascent druid feels the strength in the weapon, even if it is of an unfamiliar and fey nature.
With little time to contemplate the perculiarity, Vaken casts about for anything to burn, to bring light and warmth into the dark and cold, but sees only stone and the silvered webs themselves in this part of the cavern, at least until he peers into the chamber beyond, scanning the edges of Kestrell's diminished lantern light to barely sight the tangled non-stone, non-webbed form of something near the Northern wall of the chamber beyond... and then something else... the tips of moving thin grey/blue appendages that begin to emerge from the darkness, *clack...clack-clack...clack-clack-clack* sounds like bone-on-stone reaching the goliaths ears.'
[OOC] Vaken's shillelagh spell has worked, but seems altered by the fey nature of the stone around him, doing 1d6 bludgeoning damage and 1d4 cold damage instead of the standard 1d8 bludgeoning damage. However, at the end of every round that Vaken wields the fey-infused shillelagh, he must make a con save with a DC of 10, taking 1 point of cold damage on a fail.
There is nothing in this chamber that Vaken sees as flamable and the only things in the next chamber that might be flammable could be whatever the tangled thing is that he can't fully see OR the approaching creatures themselves.
