The fight between Carrick and Marzira starts between cheers and applause. The people had heard the histories of how they defeated unarmed the demons that tried to kill everyone at the market earlier today, and as the history passes thenumber of demons increases, and they both had shown great martial skills in their previous fights so the public is excited to see them fight. And they don't get dissapointed.
The fight is fast but exciting. What Marzira has of nimbleness and precision, Carrick has in resistance and contundence. After a few swings and punches, he connects a solid hit to Marzira's jaw that sends her backwards, but she recovers faster than Carrick thought, and kicks him as he approaches to finish her, first in the stomach, then in the temple. Everything turns white as he barely feels that he hits the ground. The referee counts to ten and people cheers all over the place.
"And now dear friends, have a drink, take something to eat... in hlaf an hour we will have our final fight!!!"
Some people gives both Carrick and Marzira taps in their shoulders and most of them cheers to her for the final match.
"I will put my gold on you young lady " says an elderly farmer who looks like the fields ready for cropping.
The rest of the party, keeping an eye on the twins see that the fun of their entire group seems to have been spoiled. They still look to the fight, but they do not take more bets under the table and most of them gives suspicious glances to the crowd.
People go to the back of the mill to order some food and more drinks, getting ready for the final fight. There is no sign of Marzira's opponent for it.
Keys comments quietly to those of the party around him, "Still not sure what happened, but the gents are on high alert now, best we keep watch at a distance for now. Any ideas on how to proceed given the change in mood?"
"Did you find anything out? I tried to get them to "teach" me how to bet, but they weren't buying it. Then they all got weird about something. What happened?"
Leto responds saying "Something must have spooked them... I did manage to hear that they were nervous about some 'crates' or a 'shipment,' but those are the only things I really caught... Keys and I were discussing trying to keep an eye on them, which I may have a way to do."
@Frandal:
do the twins both appear to be equal within their guards? Do either appear to be somewhat more of a 'leader' than the other?
"Very nice my friend. Also i have an idea to see what were up against. When the next fight starts and everyone's attention is there, i will find a quiet spot and detect magic. Unless you think that would tip them off...?"
Leto replies "I am pretty much always looking around for magic... I haven't seen much here."((I cast it before we entered I believe.)) Since it's no doubt been more than 10 min, Leto goes ahead and re-casts detect magic to see if the twins, or their body guards, have much on them.
"Silent spells magicks are something I've never much concerned myself with..." Leto replies, adding "though I have found a way to essentially 'follow' someone. The visions are usually clear, and it's usually not detected, though with anything of this nature nothing is 100%“
To discern if either twin has more weight than the other among their thugs it would be insight check, but you don't see if either one is the leader above the other.
No magic on them.
Tonight we will move on the final fight between the half-orc and Marzira!
"Silent spells magicks are something I've never much concerned myself with..." Leto replies, adding "though I have found a way to essentially 'follow' someone. The visions are usually clear, and it's usually not detected, though with anything of this nature nothing is 100%“
"You take a bold approach to everything, eh? Have to be mindful of that if ever you're on a mission that requires stealth or deception. I didn't even know that silent spell magic was a thing - I just meant weaving in the gestures and words with the rest of your movements or have them be lost in the crowd. I'll admit, sometimes I've tried to slip a spell or two without notice, but I've been caught by a keen eyed observer before," explains Keys.
"In any case, we should focus on them - ready what you need to. Perhaps it best if we spread out some," suggests Keys.
"I've primarily been focused on trading and finding arcane artifacts for the last few years. Rarely is stealth needed. Deception on the other hand..." Leto grins "Well, every trader knows you never start with your final price."
" Ladies, Gentelman... and the resto fo you!!" says the host imposing his voice over the sounds of the crowd gathered in the mill. " It is time!" everyone keeps quiet suddenly.
" It's a honor to present you... THE FINAL FIGHT!"
The crowd breaks in applause and cheers.
" Please give a hearthy welcome to our aspirant tonight. Marzira!!!"
People applaud and some yell Marzira's name to encourage her as she enters the ring.
"And now... let's hear it for our champion... the Bonebreaker, the Smasher, the Iron Fist.... MORDUK!!!"
Now the public breaks into craziness while the great half-orc walks with deliberate slow pace to the ring.
"MORDUK MORDUK MORDUK MORDUK..." the villagers cheer thier champion. He enters the ring and looms over Marzira. He cracks his fists and moves his head from side to saide, making his neck to crack too.
The members of the party that are still keeping an eye on the twins, notice that most of their thugs relax and gets distracted when the condentants came out. They still cheer and look to the ring but is like if someone has ruined the night for them.
" I am going to crush you.." says him to Marzira. She doesn't even see the host anymore, but she hears his voice.
Even after being eliminated from the tournament, Carrick didn't pay the slightest bit of attention to the matter that the rest of his party was focused on. He was busy concentrating on Marzira as she got ready to fight. He had already bet 75 gold on her, confident that she would win the battle. From the ringside, he looks Morduk in the eye and calls out "Marzira's gonna kick your ass, you ugly son of a *****!"

Leto had also matched Carrick's bet, and while he's now watching the brothers to ensure they don't leave without him noticing, he'll send Hulud over to play with the fight and help when possible as before.
Leto nods to Keys, saying "I know of a way to track them from here. At the least I can find where they go, more if things work out."

"Mmmn, my memory has faded from then. I think i got pulled into that fight with Carrick and Marzira."
Keys eyes narrow and he mutters, "Something indeed..."
Then, as he sees Leto openly perform the verbal and somatic components of a spell, he simply sighs.
He then says, "A suggestion - practice weaving your spells surreptitiously."
Keys then asks, "So what's this idea of yours to follow them?"
