The woman raises a finger without looking at Vox, she keeps examining the child she is taken care of.
"Wait on the line please" she says with a raspy, old voice "We got medicine for everyone don't you worry"she raises her eyes to take a look at you and then she stops.
"Oh... you don't seem to be sick..."
She finish to attend the child and send her away to the other side of the street with a small group of childs.
"Who are you and what do you want?" she says cautiosly.
"Madam, we are just looking into the situation, and seeing how truthful the lead we had been told is. We mean no trouble. In fact, we may be able to help a bit in some ways."
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Does Merzin... recognize anyone here? Maybe from when we all first went into the market at the beginning of the campaign? (Cough Cough The urchin I gave some gold to Cough)
"We were told that some Calendula Laetate - an herbal flower - was distributed through this area to aid the sick. We just wanted to make sure that was true. It seems so - would you be able to tell us, or at least describe to us, who that was?" Vox responds.
Merzin does see the little girl in the line waiting for recieve treatment. She doesn't seem ill but she is holding a even smaller child, and conforting him.
The old woman raises an eyebrow " Well I certanly use that plant to make some medicine for these lot yes. The twin brothers brought it the morning after the caravan arrived. Bought with earnings from their games they said. I know they use to cause trouble but they only try to help. Are them in troubles?" she asks suddenly concerned and wondering if she has spoke too much. "How do you want to help?"
After half listening, and talking with Hulud (raven) on his shoulder, Leto speaks up to the group, saying "Regardless of helping further, our current job is, at least as originally stated, unable to be completed. Though we've found the herb, it cannot be returned. Personally, I'd like to know if the man who hired us to find it knew or not. If so, that will be a problem. If not, it seems all of us have lost something."
Vox leans in closer to the older woman, palms up showing no threat, then whispering to her, "In helping these people, the Twins may have run afoulf of the 'Blood Bonds.' What could you tell me of them? Do you know if they have a gnome in their ranks named 'Thrindertop Karrasthinlek?'" Vox describes the gnome to the old woman.
a tall, cloaked figure steps up behind Leto. The figure has a lanky build, dressed in a fine red vest and loose fitted black pants. The cloak is a dark red, almost black, his face can not be seen from under the hood except for his piercing yellow eyes.
“You said some one hired you to retrieve these ‘stolen’ plants? I think we should talk in private later on.”
Turning his attention to the old lady. “May I be of some help administering your potion to the sick? Does it actually cure this sickness or is it simply making things more tolerable? And who are these “twins” that gave you these plants?”
((is it pretty late in the evening?)) Leto looks to the figure, simply nods and says "If you know a bit about this, or this town, you'll clearly know where to find us. And since my 'job' here is done I'll retire to the pub."Then looking to the rest of the group adding "Hulud will stay here with you, if I'm needed he'll let me know." at which the Raven on his shoulder will fly to a perch and keep watch on what's happening. Leto will make his way back to the pub, and order a glass of wine to relax after the day.
“The blood bonds runs almost all the smuggling here...” replies the old woman to Vox she moves her head from one side to the other “ ruthless with competitors and always meddling with shadowy people... the kind of people that honest people try to avoid if you understand me. Now, despite the fact that they count in their ranks with the worst of the worst, and that can be found in any race, the name or the description you give me doesn’t ring any bell...”
Then the cloaked figure talks and she tries to reply to him.
“ It relieves some of the symptoms but doesn’t heal it. And this fever and cough is persistent and is spreading fast. We are fine thanks. “ She adds declining his help offer. “ I do not know who are you talking about...” she replies to his last question. Is obvious that all that questions about her benefactors had made her suspicious of him.
“I got some patients to tend, so if you all excuse me...”
Vox comments to the others, "It seems like there's nothing much to do here. Might as well head back to the inn and regroup with Leto and the others. I think Genbo mentioned something about a missing person. We could look into that - assuming the price is worth it. Marzira has the gnome's deposit - we'll split it amongst ourselves once we've regrouped."
Vox lingers a moment, giving the others time for a thought or two, before exiting the infirmary and heading back to the inn.
The group, along with the strange newcomer, walks back to the inn and soon enough they all are sit around a table with some food and drinks.
The only one missing is Marzira, who was on the mill last night recovering from the last fight and talking with some of the locals.
Wondering why she hasn´t come back yet the party has still some questions to ponder.
Who are this Blood Bonds? Who is this stranger who spokee of a spreading disease? Money seems to be the most obvius reason for the Blood Bonds to want them to retrieve the medicines before it hits the street for free but, could the organitation have another, more sinister goal? What about the Quóri that attacked the market yesterday? And the missing person in the north?
The silence is heavy on the table while they eat, but one of them decide to break it.
"Speaking of - where is she? She had our... Deposit. I know she could have fared better in the fights, but she should have been back to her old self by now," comments Vox.

"Yes, they have a spotty past, but it seem they arent liars. We were seeing how truthful they are."
Raul turns to his party,
"Wow. This really is a moral dilemma. Reminds me of a story i heard as a child. "Steal from the rich, give to the poor" kind of thing."
Merzin looks up at Raul ''Well I've certainly got experience with that sort of thing, we should do whatever is necessary to help these people out.''
