Erevan has another drink or two after his toast with Khlöe, simply to take in the warm, inviting atmosphere of the tavern around him, before also retiring to the room upstairs to ensure he is well rested and prepared for the uncertain day tomorrow.
Flemig watches Tanirall walk away with a noticeable frown on his face, and says with a long, loud sigh "I guess he wants some "alone" time."
Draining his mug, finishing the last of his meal and saying a hearty "goodnight" to his remaining comrades, Flemig heads towards the room for a few hours sleep.

I noticed that I failed to fill in my general travel supplies (rations, etc) on my character sheet. I'm going to do that now if you don't have any objections.
OCC: Assuming there are no questions before bedtime, here is breakfast and journey for you. Not sure I will be on much tonight.
You are awoken the next morning just before dawn, by a pair of bleary eyed and gruff serving maids and a couple of cooks.. The table is quickly set for breakfast with rashers of bacon, loaves of crunchy bread, butter, red currant jam, and bowls of scrambled eggs, glasses of small beer and steaming kettles of fresh smelling herbal tea. A couple of stable hands come in shortly after and haul away the pallets from the night before.
Following breakfast, it is easy to find the pier and every loiter along the dock can point out the Sutherland. She's an odd vessel about 25ft long, appearing like half a Northman's clinker built longship, with a blunt sturn and a flush deck laid. An extended roof for a cabin rises an extra 2 feet above the deck just behind a forward setting mainmast. Gort waits beside the gangplank and motions you onboard before knocking on the roof of the cabin. Gnut and Klatu soon ascended from the lighted depths and with only a "Welcome, aboard, let's get going" they untie from the dock. Using pulleys and cranks, they raise the mainsail and are soon headed downriver.
"So, the village of Darkshelf sits on the mouth of the river. For years, it was a sleepy fishing village, and then about a dozen years ago the price of granite went up high enough to make excavating a nearby outcropping worth cutting. It didn't take long excavate it and the other hills completely, and the now larger populace started mining for granite. They still turn a good amount of granite, but they struck a veins of perfect limestone and the community has prospered."
"The quarry sits very close to the village, a half mile or so, and it now employs three shifts working the mines full time."
"Two of the shifts are drawn from the Humans in the village, but the third is supplied by a rather secretive clan of dwarves under the leadership of one Bazili by name. Though I for one, question his parentage.""In fact, he was so successful, that the village Master turned over the mine to Bazili in exchange for promises of employment and a share in the revenues for the town. No one has cause to complain of the conditions, and output from the mine has improved. Quartz, a few gems and a little gold have even been found!""Of course, there was an accident a few months ago. The miners hit an underground spring and before it could be sealed off several miners from the village drowned. Since then, there are rumors in the village of ghosts in the mine. Miners report hearing chains and moans and wails. You know how villagers can be."
"Not long after that, the village had some troubles with pirates and slavers. Several families of farmers from outside the village and even villagers went missing. It was Bazili and his clan that finally tracked down the scoundrels. Eliminated them, even dragged a few into Darkshelf to hang""More recently, in the last week or so, several bodies of unknown people have shown up on the waterfront, riverbank and even a bit inland. The bodies have all been badly mauled and partially eaten. Of course, the villagers are frightened. Even more so, as some of the bodies can't be identified and its thought a few slavers or slaves may be hiding in the area and fallen prey to whatever creature in stalking the area."
"As you can see, there is enough small ills in the area and the Master wants them solved, I imagine. The village falls under Baldur's influence, but not control. Even so, I am sure he doesn't want the Four investigating or Randella and her busybody Harpers nosing around."
Maya gave a polite smile to Khlöe taking the seat beside her. Maya bit her lip in contemplation as she grabbed a drink to toast along with the others, "Okay... Maybe just one." she said before taking her first swig. She did her best to hide her face pucker behind her sleeve while pretending to wipe her lips. Ales all taste the same to Maya, bitter and sour, but at least they warm the belly and fade the mind. By the time Maya finished her first drink, her cheeks were rosy and she was stifling a hiccup. Lost in her own thoughts, gazing around the smoke filled room, Maya sniffed the air and muttered her thoughts out loud, "...I wonder if it's herb friendly around here... hic." She clapped her hand over her mouth to try and catch her hiccup, cheeks flushing a deeper shade of pink. "I suppose one more to wash down these... hic!... hiccups wouldn't hurt!" and stood up to go help herself to another. Rocking on her feet to her tippy toes, about to walk away, she stops dead and turns back to Erevan and Khlöe, "Can I get either of you anything while I'm up?" she asked sheepishly before she walked away again.
If not. Returning with her drink, Maya takes her seat. Each sip relaxed her, letting a carefree smile creep up on her lips, feeling amused from watching and listening to the interactions between Flemig and Tanirall, also making notes not to play games with Zansnut. As everyone was taking their leave, Maya grabbed one last drink before she retired for the night, eventually tip toeing her way back to the room with a little bit of a sway, humming a tune beneath her breath, sometimes interrupted by the occasional hiccup.
This is after the fact, and maybe a little late... but did any of us hear any talk or rumors that may have interested us during our time in the tavern?
Also, during the voyage Flemig is going to try to get closer to Gort to see if he can engage him in conversation and maybe get something out of him, specifically aiming for more information about the mystery surrounding Darkshelf.
Khlöe, before and during the voyage is going to try and keep a general eye out to see if anyone has taken a particular interest to the group and is following them, or if there's nothing that would strike as odd.
(occ: this would count as a Perception roll correct?) Perception :15
Other than that Khlöe will try and engage in coversation with anyone who is willing to learn more about her new potential companions in this mission
Spending half of breakfast stuffing his face with all the morsels.. the other half Allistar is reaching over people to take extras and stuffing foods into his pockets and pouches.
Boarding the boat, pulling a bacon sandwich out of his pocket as he crosses the gang plank. Alistar abouts face abruptly, taking his place next to Klatu, greeting everyone that boards after him in a very official and over the top manner.
“WELCOME ABOARD the Water’s Grace, the finest boat on the sea, yes?! I have extras from breakfast if anyone wants. It’s never good to ride on the waters with an empty stomach.”
Using prestidigitation to create tiny fireworks and trumpet sounds.
Turning his attention to his new semi-boss once leaving shore “Now is the time to discuss our plans, yes?”
"A fine looking boat yes, a sea worthy one is unclear, we are on a river after all... either way I'll pass on the snacks, besides shouldn't we firstly discuss exactly what we are gonna do or can do before planning? " Khlöe take a long pause looking rather apprehensive at the amount of food he's been eating before adding "Please tell me you don't get seasick"
During breakfast Zansnut ate slowly as if it was his last meal and he was savouring every bite. Depending on what they were about to go in to it could very well be his last meal. He still wasn't entirely sure that he could trust the various companions that their mysterious benefactor had thrust upon him. Then again Taniral had already discovered the fact that he would cheat in order to win. He wasn't sure if that endeared himself to the mercenary or became a shaky ground on which to build the trust needed for the excursion.
Before leaving the Inn he triple checked that he had all the supplies and weapons secured firmly on his person. He didn't know what to expect and didn't want to wait until he needed his items before checking if he had them. Then he left to board the ship. He shook his head when the fire works went off due to Alliastar. He didn't want to bring attention to himself unless he was going to get something out of it. When he boarded he chose to stand beside Khloe. Out of the group she seemed to be the quitess of the conversation the night before. It irked him enough to want to keep a closer eye on her.
"It sounds like Bazili was more than capable with dealing with the pirates. What are we needed for?" the halfling asked. "I think we should seek him out when we get to shore to find out what is going on." The fact that he would probably be at a valuable mine was just a bonus for him. He turned his attention to Khloe, "What is your reason for joining us?"
"Coin mainly. No other motives besides doing a hopefully quick smooth job to add to the merger contents of my coin pouch" Khlöe answered with a careless shrug "What's your reason?"
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Maya was hoping to wake up before the others to get a head start on some breakfast before the others. Unfortunately it turns out her over indulgence from the night before caused her to be one of the last ones to get out of bed. Even though she felt rushed, Maya followed through with her morning routine, ensuring her spells and equipment are ready before heading out to breakfast. She grabbed a few bites of eggs and stuffed a couple pieces of bacon in her mouth while she buttered some crunchy bread for the road. Made sure to wash it down with some tea this time instead of beer.
Maya scurried her way out the door, paused for a moment to get her bearings before she spotted the fireworks up ahead. She made her way up to the boat, clutching her satchel, hoping she wasn’t the last one to arrive. Before making her way on to the boat, Maya takes a deep breath to take in the scents of her surroundings, she always feels at home close to water.
(Can I sense/predict/tell what kind of weather we could be expecting for this day/boat ride? Wisdom (Survival) check? 16) (It’s my first ever roll, I hope I did it right if so.)
Finally making her way up onto the boat, Maya noticed Allistar offering snacks, and couldn’t help but look for place next to him, occasionally glancing over to eye up his sandwich. She hoped she snuck in quietly enough to blend in as if she was always there, hoping to catch bits of the conversation going around.
"I'm not used to staying in one place for to long. I used to travel with a circus that covered the fee. This job will get me traveling again," answered Zansnut. Of course that was if they made it through the mission. "If your coin purse gets too heavy we could always make a wager or two." he whispered trying to keep Allistar from hearing. The last thing he wanted was for him to tell her he usually made his own luck.
"Ah, understandable. Being on the road is more enjoyable" Khlöe chuckled at offer "a wager on your terms or on mine? Either way I'll think Ill pass for the moment, half of whats in my coin purse isn't mine to spend"
Tanirall having retired earlier in the night was one of the first to rise in the morning. He stayed in bed long enough to avoid Flemig’s eventual onslaught of questions and rose shortly after the gnome left before starting his morning routine. Spending a little too much time tending to his battle axe and other equipment he left late for the boat making it there just before Maya but he doesn’t notice her absence or presence at first. He takes a few snacks from Allistar as he passes by and grunts as thanks.
“So what’s the plan here? What do we all do? As you can see, I’m a warrior and I fight for coin” as Tanirall brandishes his freshly sharpened battle axe. “the little gnome knows a little magic apparently as well as... that thing...” Tanirall gestures towards Allistar and his fireworks. He has no idea what an Aasimar is. “Our other little friend there appears to be a thief. Which leaves you two” pointing at Maya, Khloe, and Eravan. “What roles do you intend to play here? I don’t recall any of you saying much last night” as he eyes them suspiciously.

Khlöe gets her quarterstaff that had been strapped onto her back, pulling up the sleeves of her shirt to show the hand-wraps "Monk trained so Ill be somewhere up front, and well you and the rest did exit out rather quickly before we put our words in."
“In my line of work, you don’t typically ask questions. We’re hired to get the job done but I’m glad to see I won’t be the only one up front.” Tanirall takes note of how worn the hand wraps are. If they’re well worn then he shows a little respect at your combat experience. If they’re a little fresher he kinda brushes Khloe off a bit as being new. You may get the feeling that combat prowess and results is all that matters to Tanirall for now as this is a new group for him.

Erevan enjoyed his breakfast before double checking his belongings and making his way to the boat. He gives Allistar a small applause after his little spectacle, before turning to Tanirall to answer his question.
"I'm a ranger. I grew up in the country, where I had to learn to be a good shot to protect our livestock or else many in the village would go hungry. It turns out those who look a little bit more like..." He pauses for a second, eyeing his companions. "Us, I suppose, are not that much harder to hit with a decent shot. I left my village to see what else was out there, and one step led to another, I learned how to fight with these," he gestures to the two short swords hanging at his sides. "I work if I'm being paid, simple. Although I too would like to save up enough that I could hit the road for a while without having to look for work. It's happened before, but now my level of coin is rather low again." He shrugs and laughs.
Flemig's eyes widen in wonder at Allistar's fireworks show. "Neat! Can you show me how to do that?"
Without waiting for a response, Flemig detaches himself a bit from the main group as they talk among themselves, making his way over to Gort. "Greetings fine sir! Beautiful weather for a voyage, and beautiful countryside we are passing. Is this your homeland?"
Maya keeps a little pile of snacks on her lap to pick at throughout the introductions that she mooched off of Alistar. She nibbled on some bread, making mental notes of her companions until there was a break in conversation. Biting on a chunk of bread to hold it in her mouth, it freed up Maya’s hand to start digging in her bag. You can hear the clinging of cooking utensils and rustling of supplies. Then she puts up a finger, remembering to herself that she strapped it to herself today, knowing she’s beginning a new adventure. Maya turns her body to flash the shield and quarterstaff strapped to her, then faces back to the group with an awkward little wave, “Hi...” She takes the piece of bread from her mouth, “Hi. I’m Maya.” She clears her throat, “I pick and sell herbs, and cook for coin.” She looks at the weapons the others are carrying, then looks down at her hands, “I suppose my talents for this job would be the magic gifted to me by nature itself.” She goes back to nibbling on her bread.
