Through some testing, everyone determines that spells cast with good intention or spells that would have little real-world consequences are able to be cast. Mr. Jack's laugh echoes in your minds once again.
I sense some confusion. Some curiosity. Allow me to explain:
I'm the valve which keeps your mana held within. Your magic is subject to my discretion.
I think what you think. I sense what you sense.
Imagine, if you can, a familiar. The familiar is bound to its master.
In a certain sense, I am the master and you all are my familiars.
And so, no, I will not allow you to cast your harmful spells so close to these magnificent buildings.
However, when you face down the unlawful dogs of this world... expect the freedom to hunt them down.

The briefing continues for a moment longer, but you all get the gist of the situation. You have been tasked with locating two Ex-Ravens much like yourselves. You've been given a brief description of both, but the long and short of it is: you are looking to find a green scaled hodo and a light skinned dwarf. Such an odd pair will stick out to most, so you hope it won't be too difficult to track them down. The next bit is tricky - they are granting you about a week's time to find and capture or kill these two Ex-Ravens. It's not quite certain what the punishment for failing this time frame is, but you can be sure it won't be pretty.
Justice Agna has the guards escort you to the armory where you are outfitted for the job. It would seem some common clothes are available to you as well, since your prison garb is likely to draw unwanted attention. You are able to dress in just about any style you'd like as long as your tastes range from street beggar to lowborn merchant. The equipment leaves you wishing for something finer, but it will do. Justice Agna has bequeathed you with some number of funds to undergo this mission, but your purchases will be heavily scrutinized by the sounds of it.
Ex-Ravens, you gain the following each: x Starting weapons and equipment as usual from character creation, but none of the other fun stuff outside what you already had. x Commoner's clothing, including coats, hoods, and other things to protect you from the elements. x A limited adventuring backpack - you are able to pull any sort of adventuring gear you might need, but only up to 5 times. x A limited component pouch - you are able to pull from this pouch 10 material components for your spells. Of course your power does not require any components if any are listed. x 5 gold.
The disembodied voice beckoned you all to join hands. You all comply, whether you'd like to or not, but what happens next is dizzying. Beneath your feat a blood-red circle shone brightly. Sigils and runes, most of which none of you had never seen, scrawled drastically within the circle and flashed once. With a blink of an eye, you find yourselves somewhere else. In a snowy forest, somewhere in Huldra Hollow. Knees buckle among you, including the human Ex-Raven with you. He drops to a kneel and vomits his meager breakfast in front of you all. Pouf, of course, feels fine. (Con DC 14 to not feel sick as hell for everyone else but Pouf)
Walk East from here, follow the small road. It isn't far to Almdalir.
(While you walk east, please feel free to roleplay how you are feeling, what you are dressed like currently, what your plan of attack is, and any checks you'd like to make on your way there. Feel free to ask questions too!)

Amanita pieces together a bodice, tassets, pauldrons and bracers made from leather and wears them over a green loose fitting dress that would touch the floor for an average human but, for her, falls just below her knees. She finds some boots that fit and dons a a cloak with a large hood to envelop her antlers. She looks for the most gnarled quarterstaff and takes that as well.
CON Save: 12
Coming through the circle, Amanita drops to her knees retching spores and her last meager meal. Sensing her body's reaction to perceived poisoning, she takes some deep breaths. She whispers, "mentha peperita" and touches her nose. Anyone near her will catch a strong scent of peppermint.
After composing herself and wiping her mouth on her sleeve, she strolls on with the others.
Lost in memories and nausea, it takes a moment before she is aware of Vuist's question and the ensuing conversation. "Oh,"she chimes in. "I can track. I was a bit of a hunter in my past life. And the plants will help." (What's the flora and fauna like?)

Xelazhia, dressed in simple traveling clothes, stumbles over and retches into the snow. She tries several times to respond, but simply keeps heaving until her head aches.
Amanita surveys the land and examines some of the flora and signs of fauna. This Huldra Hollow, which Amanita has probably only ever seen on a map if that, is unlike her homeland. While there were trees scattered throughout, they barely resembled the forests of her home. Dark green grass pokes out from beneath the white covering of snow and it would appear that hiding or skulking would be difficult unless one did manage to find themselves in the few circle of trees around.
To properly camouflage, one would need to adopt white, dark green, and/or dark brown coloring... this meant that beasts in this area most likely blend into their surroundings. With such few places to hide, there must be some way hunters and prey survive out in the wilds. The vegetation, likewise, seems to have adapted to this strange climate of snow and mud, though it seemed even the plants are few and scarce. Most flora here would be prickly, low to the ground, and have short roots. Amanita is fairly confident that, if needed, she could locate some foxberry for consumption and it was highly likely that there should still be decent sized game out here such as caribou.
Tracking intelligent creatures would either be incredibly easy or an arduous task... it all depended on how intelligent the creatures actually were.

Amanita smiles at Pouf's antics. "I have met your kind before," she says enjoying the distraction and the fresh air. Then, seeing Vuist's expression, she comes back to his question.
"I might," Amanita answers. "Let's see if our quarry has been seen around here."She will drift over to the wisest looking tree and will use her speak with plants ability.
"Excuse me, fine arbor, we are seeking some creatures who may be up to no good and I wonder if they may have passed this way. One would be larger, green and scaled; the other, short and probably stocky, fair in color."
