The office of the Waterdeep Wazoo is located in the Sea Ward, and so not that far from where you all are already. Heading there, you come to a publishing house, the lower level of the building where the work happens, the print works and writers rooms are down below, but there is a large staircase that leads up to a door. On that door is a nameplate: "Gaxly Rudderburst, Waterdeep Wazoo, Editor-in-Chief"
"The article said they have a theory in the Viper's identity, but they want to charge a fee," Briga says to her allies, before the door is answered. "Maybe the publication isn't doing too well? I guess all informants want to get paid, even if they're based out of an office instead of an alley."
Regarding the prior interaction, before arriving, Briga would have added - "She seemed pretty bummed that I didn't leap at it. Maybe I could be a knight of the Gauntlet. As an armored Paladin with a code and everything, you just seem more the ideal, Griff. I do have a code of ethics and all, but it's just my own, not written down anywhere. I can hold my own in a fight. I dunno, maybe a six foot woman in a cheap peasant dress with a polearm and no armor can be a knight. Maybe they can give me a magic glaive, and some nicer clothes, to help me fit the part," she chuckles. "Something to look into later."
Cutting to the task at hand, Tyrus says, "You should be doing the talking Briga, you being the licensed bounty hunter and all. But what do we be giving this Rudderburst for his information? A share of the bounty? Gold upfront? ... I'd say the former. After all, his information may not lead to anything at all."
[OOC: Do we actually even know how much the bounty is? I've forgotten and can't find it.]

Having a look around, everything seems normal. Heading up the stairs, you knock on the door. "One second," comes an exaggerated voice from the other side. "Have you got an appointment?" the voice asks from inside.
Opening the door is a man with long curly hair, wearing a purple coat that has a trail running about three feet behind him, and a quill with a feather about three and a half feet long. "Then an appointment should do just fine, come back in three hours - we have a deadline to keep!" The man, matching the voice you heard on the other side of the door, says with an irritable tone.
"You said you had information on the Black Viper," Briga responds, loudly. "Right now we're the best shot of catching her. I'm a licensed bounty hunter for the city of Waterdeep, and my allies are working alongside me on this case. We've got other leads, but if your information's good we're willing to discuss compensation. Care to make a moment for my friends and I, so we can discuss terms? Or should we move on to our other leads? We can set an appointment for you for a later time, but my street contacts tend to give up information on the cheap. Different standard of living, different tax bracket, if you get my meaning. If we don't need the lead by the time of our scheduled appointment, we might be less likely to talk about a cut of the reward money, if you get my meaning, sir." Briga's words are leaden with none too subtle meaning. "Shall we come in?"
"I don't give out freebies," the man responds. "My information costs up front, 50 gold pieces and we have a deal," he says, not missing the opportunity to make an extra few coins.
"My friend is right - we're looking for a thief who's robbing the nobles, not one robbing bounty hunters," Briga says, sounding like she's only half joking. "I don't like the idea of upfront payment at all without knowing the value of the information, but as you're an upstanding business type - and not someone who'll skip town - I'd be willing to entertain, say, 10 upfront and 40 if and when we capture the Viper. Bonus, if this works out we'll tell the nobles that you and your publication were a vital partner in the war against crime. You should be paying us, really."

"Sounds good to me. We'll offer him 10% on completion, if his information helps us find the thief," Briga agrees.
Briga waits for Gaxly Rudderburst to answer Griff's knock.
Being a dwarven artisan, Tyrus looks back down the stairs to the printery below. Does everything seem to be business as usual? [Perception Roll: 5 ]

Arlon will stay behind and if possible help out.
“No but I assure you the matter is of upmost urgency, if you would please give us some of your time.”

"Not worth it," mutters Tyrus. "It should be a cut of the reward. And who's to know how many others he's taken his 50 gold from."
