"As much as we need something in Strahds castle, i assume, we should avoid it for the time being. We should head west." Sova says at the mention of the castle.
"Whilst I am usually the first to advise on the benefits of a good treasure haul, perhaps heading west, if that is indeed the same direction as this cmp would be the best starting point. I'm sure something will come to us once we reach the crossroads at any rate!
Quilrith beams at Madam Eva, bowing and shaking his head at the excitement her Fortune has caused, looking around at his new found companions, he glances a little nervously hoping that he can make himself useful among this hardy band of adventurers.
"If Strahd lives atop this castle and the King and Queen are buried in Castle Ravenloft and a secret place, a vault of temptation hidden behind a woman of great beauty, then I would surmise the Queen is that woman and that is the treasure Strahd awaits atop of. That may very well be the shepherd card and the holy symbol of great hope. But I agree, West is the way we should go. If that way lies Argynvostholt and this pool then that is the way to start."
He looks around at his companions,
"With this fog and darkness I know not the time. We can leave now or rest here tonight and go in the morning. If it is late in the day I say we rest, if the Vistani will have us. But if there is still much time left in the day then I say we do not delay and we leave now."
Ebur says: The evening draws near, and the forests are not safe, nor comfortable for gentle folk (he glances at Roselina). Perhaps ye should avail thyself of the Vistani hospitality this night. There is another town a days journey by the road, that if nature wills, ye should reach by nightfall tomorrow.
Roselina listened as Madam Eva only responded back to Vrakvroth before pulling out a deck of cards. She started flipping cards over as she was giving them vague as hell clues such as finding out more information about Strahd through a wealthy woman, finding a holy symbol of hope with his mother, finding a sword of sunlight in a pool blessed by the sun, finding an entertaining man with a monkey who is supposed to help them greatly, and then something about a vault of temptation hidden behind a woman of great beauty. Really, that's all? No names or places, how is that supposed to help them?! Everyone else is just as confused as always, glad when Vrakvroth was asking Madam Eva the specifics of the fortunes. But then she told them that she couldn't help them further as part of the curse, telling them a little more at least. Roselina listened to Vrakvroth, nodding back in agreement to going west to Argynvostholt. Then she heard Ebur talk, speaking about gentle folk as he looked over at her and knew exactly what that meant, even if she certainly did not want to sleep in a forest either. She did question why he thinks it's close to evening, remembering that her and Vrakvroth had set off from that tavern this morning and it didn't take them that long to get here. "Isn't it only midday at the moment? It hasn't been that long since Vrakvroth and I had left to come here from the tavern. As long as there is still daylight out, we should quickly continue on to our next destination." Roselina had then spoken up, wanting to get to Argynvostholt already.
"So do we head out on foot? I only noticed Vrak with a horse, I must admit It was enjoyable riding atop a caravan, although I don't really mind walking it would be helpful to have a cart or some horses."
Quilrith, walks over to the vistani they came with to see if they can borrow a cart or perhaps negotiate the loan of a few horses to speed them on their way, as it would seem that if they are successful then they would be helping the vistani as well.
Sova steps out of the caravan and heads to the water to do a quick wash. As he pours the water over his head, he has flash backs of when he was just a simple huntsman. Hunting game and selling his catches at the marketplace. He wishes he could go back to such a time when his life wasn't plagued by the undead and the screams.
The nearest settlement would be the town of Vallaki, taking the road to the north, it's an 11 mile journey, so probably would take just over a day to arrive, however the Vistani do say going that way may involve a climb. Alternately you could head back south and approach the bridge that goes over the Tsar Falls, a waterfall that the northern route takes you too, but that will be a 16 mile journey, taking about half a day longer. You could also cross across the forest. That route is probably the shortest if you don't get lost, but is also the most dangerous, as the forest is always coated in a thick mist, so it could make the journey much more difficult.
Dissapointed that he is unable o find any horses, Quilrith returns to the party,
"Normally I'd love a stroll through the forest but in this land I've heard stories of wild beasts and I don;t fancy getting lost in there, my Legs aren't really made for climbing mountains, Buildings, walls gates yes. My Vote is head to the bridge, even if it does take us a little longer. What do you all think?
Quilrith Looks around, hopeful that the party don't decide to go through the forest, but brave enough to take on any of the challenges.
"Madam Eva said . "Stick to the Old Svalich Road, the road you followed to reach me, head south and over the bridge at the Waterfall, and from there your journey has many paths," and I'm inclined to follow that advice at this time. I have no desire to be lost in the forest. Since it is midday let us leave now."
Vrak gathers his horse, mounts and prepares to leave.
Ebur nods in agreement, his mask wagging up and down like a pecking bird.
"So be it. I am curious to see what the visions of this seer foretell, and how they may aid in the defeat of the devil Strahd. Let us make haste, and trust in the safety of the herd."

How does a red dragon blow out the candles on its birthday cake?
You spend the next almost two and a half hours travelling back and around. The first hour is just backtracking back to the fork that the Vistani took you, where on the return trip you notice an old wooden gallows that creaks in a chill wind that blows down from the high ground to the west. Dancing gently from the beam is a frayed length of rope. The well-worn road splits, with a signpost on the corner that points off in three directions. The arrow that points down the eastern path, and where you originally came from, points to Barovia Village. To the Northwest, where you had just travelled the sign points to the Tser Pool, and the southwest path, the one you intend to take, reads Ravenloft/Vallaki. The path you intend to take clings to an upward slope.
As you make your way past this place, Sova hears a creaking noise from the gallows behind him. Turning to see if someone is following you, where there was nothing before now hangs a lifeless, gray body. The breeze turns the hanged figure slowly, rotating slowly in the wind, eventually locking eyes with him. When it has rotated, Sova is looking at himself, hanging from the gallows. The smell of death filling the air.
The road to the southwest slowly creeps uphill all the way as you follow it, clinging to a nearby mountain. The road eventually becomes a dirt road that you continue to follow, and then ends before an arching bridge of mold-encrusted stone. Perching on each of the corners of the bridge is a gargoyle cloaked in black moss, all of their frowns weatherworn from age. Nearby, on this more mountainous side of the bridge, a waterfall spills into a misty pool nearly a thousand feet below. The pool feeds a river that meanders into the fog-shrouded pines that blanket the valley.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Quilrith eyes the gargoyles suspiciously, he turns to the party and whispers.
"stay here, let me have a look around before we go any further"
His normally cheerful demeanour seemingly vanished a serious look crosses his face as he pulls up his hood, and blends into the darkness.
attempting to Hide in the shadows Quilrith scouts around the area inspector g the bridge for any likely pitfalls or traps that might hinder the parties crossing. Careful not to get too close to the Gargoyles.
Ebur looks around to see where Quilrith disappeared to. All the way here from the Vistani camp he'd listened to the small man's incessant chatter, although he didn't find it disturbing, more like the twittering of birds, which was rare in this land, compared to the cawing of ravens.
Expecting that the curious Halfling has probably gone to peer over the side of the bridge into the precipice below, Ebur crosses onto the bridge.

(OOC: Well the Nature roll wasnt great so Ebur might be wrong about the time, but would he know how far to the next settlement?)
