Nate will use his rope and tie up the Oxen the best he can. He will reassure them that we will be back and not to worry (but just in plain English...not casting Speak with Animals. He hopes that he has built a strong enough relationship with the animals that they will listen to him and not try and escape the ropes or freak out if we leave).
For First, Second and Third, how about 1. Brom 2. Idalie 3. Ophirinn (again totally open to any other order!). Or if someone else wants to go ahead a bit that's cool too. Nate and Omnia would be Fourth and Fifth respectively. (if we decide to go this way. If someone else has a different idea I'm totally down to hear it!)
(Thanks for the confirmation. It's good to get everyone, or at least a good majority, to agree on a course of action and I will wait for that on important decisions. I also appreciate that you've said clearly that you're ready to go - that's always helpful to the DM to figure out when the discussion is over and there's a clear course of action.)
The group heads out, north along the narrow trail. There are thorns and bushes that scratch a little at you, but nothing major. You follow the trail for about fifteen minutes.
Brom, as you are in the lead, please give me a Perception check.
Leading the group Brom used his hand axes to clear away some of the foliage not too much to make it obvious but enough to make it tolerable. He kept an eye out on there path and surroundings
Brom, about three feet before you walk into it, you notice a gleam on the path, and stop. You see, remarkably clearly, a wire stretched across the path and also a loop of thin rope buried under some leaves and grass. This is a trap. It would be easy enough to step over it or just pass round the side completely, or you can investigate further if you wish.
The party steps around the trap, and continues on.
The trail moves out of the woods and into tall grass. You see Neverwinter Wood, but off in the distance to the north. Around you are low hills and wild grasslands; the air is fresh and the trail is easy to follow.
Brom, as you are still leading, make another Perception check.
(OOC: Even though I'm only asking one character to make these rolls, as he's leading the party at the moment, it's still a good idea to role-play your characters as they take actions, or just chat amongst themselves, while making this journey. It keeps the thread active and build relationships between the party members.)
As the scenery changed to grass lands Brom didn't like it. If this goblin camp was here then the goblin could see their approach. He narrowed his eyes and scanned the area around him.
As the party moves out of the woods, Nate takes a breath of the fresh air as he looks towards the wild grasslands.
"Ahhh... Omnia, isn't this amazing..." Nate whispers as he is clearly taken by the beautiful surroundings. Almost forgetting for a moment about the potential goblin camp ahead.
Nate then snaps back into reality as he watches Brom closely scan the area.
Brom, you walk along the trail, listening to the conversation going on behind you. And then suddenly, the ground beneath your foot... isn't there any more. Your boot passes through a patch of grass and keeps going.
"Yes Nate it is amazing here reminds me alot of home" her attention is imeadiately bought back to reality as she sees Brom's leg dissapering down what she can only assume is some sort of hole.
Unfortunately Brom, this is indeed a pit trap. It seems for a moment you will keep your balance, but then you teeter and fall forwards into the pit. Luckily, there are no spikes or poisonous snakes at the bottom, but you do take 4 fall damage and are prone.
The rest of you see Brom vanish into a hole in the ground. There's a crash, then a thud.

"I am happy with that" Omnia grabs her things and gets ready to push forward once again

"I'm fine with that order" seeing that the trail is dense with foliage Brom put his hammer away and grabbed his hand axes one in each hand.
Bromduhr, Goliath Fighter.
"I agree" Ophirinn stands and readies himself for the journey.

In a low tone Brom speaks over his shoulder to the group "trap up here nothing too dangerous but i think it means we're getting close"
Bromduhr, Goliath Fighter.
When it’s his turn in the line, Nate will easily step over the trap that Brom impressively found.
“That could’ve got hairy... thanks Brom”
The party steps around the trap, and continues on.

Make a DEX saving throw to avoid falling.

Trying to catch himself Brom curses under his breath "Shit" a pit fall of course in tall grass like this it's perfect, and he just fell for it.

"Brom! Are you ok?!" Nate bursts out as he sees him fall down the hole.
"Do any of you have a rope we can use to try and get him out of there? I used mine to tie up those Oxen back there..."
"I do" Omnia ties one end of her rope to a large tree and throws the other end down too Brom
"Does someone want to go down and check on him"

Nate smiles as Omnia gets out her rope.
"I think he's ok... but I can't be sure. Brom are you able to climb up using that rope on your own?"
