Ok guys and welcome back so here goes first choice is up to you guys you can continue your adventure with your current players or create new ones i can adjust accordingly. Going to run Lost mines as i got the maps etc for it just need to add in fog of war to them as we progress so please bear with me with that. I believe there is 4 of us left myself excludeing which will be fine to run lost mines and if you are happy with me afterwards we can look at carrying on into storm kings thunder if you wish. Obviously i will try and update as much as possible but as we all know and appreciate we are across different timezones and of course real life commitments always come first. I am new to this DM'ing marlarkey so if i forget anything or need to go and find further info please bear with me i know we are all on a learning curve still and having already done a one shot with guys i believe i have prob the best team to do this with.
If there any questions please let me know otherwise when everyone is in and ready we will begin again will level up by milestone and will be on standard array throughout.
Indeed, let's do this! I would love to use my old character Nate if at all possible. I think L2 characters will be good for this because I think Lost Mines is meant for 5 players so if we have 4 players at L2 it might just work perfectly.
Super pumped to get this going! Thanks again BMonk - I have no doubt this is going to be awesome.
In the city of Neverwinter, a dwarf named Gundren Rockseeker asked you to bring a wagon load of provisions to the rough-and-tumble settlement of Phandalin, a couple of days' travel southeast of the city. Gundren was clearly excited and more than a little secretive about his reasons for the trip, saying only that he and his brothers had found "something big," and that he'd pay you ten gold pieces each for escorting his supplies safely to Barthen's Provisions, a trading post in Phandalin. He then set out ahead of you on horse, along with a warrior escort named Sildar Haliwinter, claiming he needed to arrive early to "take care of business." You've spent the last few days following the High Road south from Neverwinter, and you've just recently veered east along the Triboar Trail. You've encountered no trouble so far, but this territory can be dangerous. Bandits and outlaws have been known to lurk along the trail.
So as you are on the road travelling towards Phandalin what is your marching order?
Idalie would most likely be sitting on/in the cart given her shorter legs would leave her having a bit of trouble keeping up with both it and the others on foot for long periods of time. She has her bow ready but is also likely distracted by the new surroundings given this is the farthest she's ever been from home.
Nate has used his newly learned skill Wildshape and has morphed into a beautiful black panther. He will stealthily trot a bit ahead of the wagon as we go to see if any dangers are lurking around anywhere.
(Nate has kind of become obsessed with changing into animals he sees ever since the party levelled up. It’s all his he’s been doing lately actually.)
Watching the unfamiliar scenery pass with open fascination, Idalie marvels at how far their little group has come. Of course, they're missing Omnia and Quinn, the other two having decided to go their own ways, but she, Nate, and Brom have done pretty well for themselves since. This job being the latest and most interesting example. She's excited to see where it takes them, and to learn about their new, introverted companion. The dragon born is certainly a quiet fellow, has been this whole journey though she'd hoped he would open up once they were on the road. The gnome really isn't one to push though, and knows that for now they should all be focused on the task at hand, but is determined to get to talk about himself at least a little the next time they stop. Humming to herself, she continues to scan the underbrush before glancing over at Brom with a smile.
"I'm looking forward to getting to Barthen's." She commented. "If its anything like the trading post I used to go to a few miles from my home I'm sure there will be all manner of interesting things to buy." And ten gold would sure go a long way. She was in dire need of a nice new pair of boots.
((Btw, is there someone driving the cart or should one of us be doing that? XD ))

If one of us was meant to be steering the cart and horse, then Ophirinn would be doing that instead.
PS. Brief description of Ophirinn to give you guys an idea of what your new companion looks like. XD
Ophirinn is very tall and heavily built, not as big as Brom though. His scales are golden, and iris' bright yellow. He wears chain mail under and white and yellow tabard, with a symbol of a dragon on the chest and back. The weapons and tools he carries are: two mace on each side of his belt, a circular shield on his left hip, and the holy symbol for Tyr, god of justice, around his neck.
You've been on the Triboar Trail for about half a day. As you come around a bend, you spot two dead horses sprawled about fifty feet ahead of you, blocking the path. Each has several black-feathered arrows sticking out of it. The woods press close to the trail here, with a steep embankment and dense thickets on either side.
OOC - BMonk they don't make it easy. I looked into a few forums on here and I think you have to first upload the images to an image hosting site, and then use the 'Insert/Edit Image' button in here and paste the url.
Another option would be for us all to just give you our email addresses and you could send the images that way. Or even better we could set up a simple google sheet and you could add the images to the google sheet.
Wildshape only lasts 1 hour for me right now. So I will use it again (I have 2 uses. A short rest refills them) and turn into the same Panther.
I will walk into the forest on one of the sides into the dense thicket and then move ahead close to the horses but still in the woods. I will use the Panther Keen Smell skill which gives me an advantage on Perception checks that rely on smell. I want to smell the air to see if I get any whiffs of any creatures that might be waiting to ambush.
OOC - I think Google Sheets might be the best guys because then we can all edit the map. Like BMonk you could draw a simple little map and then we could put X's or whatnot as to where we all are. Maybe we could use this link:
OOC trying to figure out how to add images doesnt seem to be the easiest of things if anyone knows how please let me know lol
You can upload the image to imgur and then use that link as the url for the insert/edit image tool. Some tips I found were set the dimensions to 300 x 400 and keep constrained proportions checked.
Note to Nate - The dice roller has an advantage option.

Oops sorry I forgot to add this for reference if needed BMonk:
I am morphed into this: Panther
A black one.
Given Brom's size he would have to walk beside the cart his war hammer rested leisurely on his shoulder. His shield was in the cart within arms reach.
Bromduhr, Goliath Fighter.
Ophirinn not really getting to know his new group, sets himself a little a head of the cart; keeping an eye out for anything that might be about.
(ps. sorry thought I was subscribed to this thread, but turned out I wasn't. haha)
Nate has been quite curious about Ophirinn ever since he joined the party and has probably been caught more than once staring at him.

What do you all think?
As for my action:
Wildshape only lasts 1 hour for me right now. So I will use it again (I have 2 uses. A short rest refills them) and turn into the same Panther.

Here's my 2 Perception rolls (advantage) 10 6

Ophirinn steadies the horse and looks up into the hills for any silhouettes or movement.
Perception Check: 14
