"Well Sildar... it seems we didn't find any other information about Gundren. Let's ask that goblin when he wakes up. And then we can kill him if you want.
Omnia do you have any rope left? We should tie him up like Ophirinn said."
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Omnia, the goblin is unconscious, and you are able to tie it up very securely so it has very little chance to escape. It will remain unconscious for 2 hours, more or less, or you could probably slap it awake immediately.
Idalie stands at the back, not really paying attention. She seems to have something on her mind.
"I think the plan of action should be to wake this one up" points at the tied up goblin "ask it some it some question and then head back to our camp spot and have a rest."
The goblin wakes up. Its eyes dart around from face to face as it struggles for a moment, before relenting and lying still. Ophirinn, it glares up at you sullenly. What you want? Why not kill? It speaks decent common, though it's clearly not fluent.
Brom would hand over the silver and bronze pieces he had picked up over to Nate knowing having a team fund is important and Brom trusted Nate with that. "And if these crates belong to someone we can return it, earn some favor and coin"
Ophirinn, the goblin responds: Other one? Dwarf. Yeah. Sent to Grol. Goblin King. Grol will sell to Spider. He points somewhere vaguely north-east.
Nate, the crates and barrels in this cave are numerous and large. You couldn't fit them all on your cart as it is already pretty full. You would need to return with an empty wagon to bring everything to Phandalin.
Sildar is watching and listening to what is going on. Spider? I heard the goblins talking about a spider when they captured me. I couldn't make sense of it. You there - goblin! What is this Spider?
The goblin answers with a sullen shrug. Black Spider. Dunno. Some big boss. Trades with King Grol. Wants dwarf.
Dammit, says Sildar. He frowns. I know a little of Gundren's business. I had hoped to find him here. I will tell you all what I know but, and he looks over at the goblin, not in present company.
Omnia looks at nate and brom and sees that they are handing over coins from spoils of bbattles she goes and does the same "considering we now have a group pot here you can add these" she hands over 21silver and 16copper.. "ok so do we think this goblin has told us all he can, i say leave no one to run back to the goblin king"
OOC: Awesome thanks! I've added the notes and amounts I have and we will split it all up when it's time.
Nate asks the goblin one more thing: "What else is in this cave that we are in now? Are there more goblins?"
Nate looks over to Omnia... "I agree" and makes an action with his thumb across his neck signalling to her to cut his throat. (Once he answers my question!)
Nate, the goblin looks at the entrance you came through. You came that way. Kill goblins? Then no more goblins. Nothing more. He's shaking, and he closes his eyes tight, bracing for the blow. Kill now?
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Brom was the one to do it with out a word to signal the goblin of what he was about to do with both hands he swung his hammer towards the goblin's skull going in for a swift death.
In case i need to roll for this i believe i get advantage on the roll since hes restrained.
(OOC: The rolls didn't display for me; opening the post to edit and then immediately saving it sometimes fixes dice rolls. In this case, even if Brom misses, the Goblin isn't putting up a fight.)
Brom, you execute the goblin easily, giving it a swift death, if a somewhat gory one for onlookers.
Sildar shakes his head. Goblins. I've met a few that were good, one or two I called friends, but that's one in a hundred. He seems sad that the goblin had to die, but he agrees with your decision.
He takes a deep breath. Gundren and his two brothers have recently found something that was lost, long ago. It's a mine, a special mine with an ancient history and, if the tales are true, a powerful magical artifact within. They haven't ventured deep into the mine yet, but they've found it, no doubt of that. The Lost Mine of Phandelver.
(Anyone who is proficient in History can make a check to see if they recognise the name 'Phandelver' - or you could ask Sildar, of course.)
He left his brothers guarding the discovery while he came for the resources and supplies needed to investigate further. That must be why he was taken. Someone - this Black Spider - wants the location of the mine, or perhaps knows it already and doesn't want others to learn it. Sildar pauses, gathering his thoughts.
Nate cracks a smile as the goblin's head is crushed.
"The Lost Mine of Phandelver.... magical artifact... do you know anything specific about this artifact?" Nate definitely does not recognize the name 'Phandelver' which doesn't surprise him given his upbringing in the bandit camps. He's more interested in this magical artifact.
"So his brothers are still there waiting for him at the mine? And who are you again? His friend? Do you know anything about this Grol who apparently has Gundren? Is the Black Spider an actual Spider?!"(Nate really hopes he is) Nate bombards Sildar with questions not really understanding social etiquette.
Nate then motions the party over into that other cave where we started where we rescued the wolfs and starts to set up his bedroll. "Can someone take first watch? I'm exhausted....."
Omnia didn't find anything on Klarg, apart from his morningstar which is a regular morningstar. All his possessions were in the wooden chest.

"Yes i do" she gets out the rope and ties up the knocked out goblin

Ophirinn, do you want to wake the goblin?
Ophirinn bends down to the goblin and slaps he wake.

Nate takes the coins and thanks Brom again for protecting him in that battle.
"Yeah maybe we can bring them on our wagon back to Phandalin once we get out of here."
