Brom, you don't see any men in red cloaks in the vicinity. Sister Garaele notices you looking: I do not know for sure when the next group of Redbrands will come; I don't know their plan, or how they will respond when this group does not return. It is likely that they will come down the road from the old manor, and it is likely they will pass by, and perhaps stop briefly, in the Sleeping Giant, a taphouse near the manor road.
A look of contemplation crosses Leo's face, "I should not have thought that these Redbrands take kindly to insults... it might be a way of directly sending a message to their leaders if we were to pay a visit to this taphouse and get to know the patrons. We might just rouse the Sleeping Giant."
"It looks like we are going with the ambush then, yes?" Delmon is glad things have finally resolved. "I don't know about you Leo, but I feel this town has seen enough bloodshed as it is. Perhaps an ambush along the road we think they are going to come into town on would be best?" Delmon then turns to Sister Garaele, "We have asked so much of you already, for that I am sorry we don't mean to overwhelm you with all these questions, but how certain are you of the route they will take to get into town? Do they always come the same way?"
I'm no expert, the Sister replies, but people do say they sometimes just appear in town, and no-one saw them coming down the path from the manor. You'd have to ask around, though.
"Well then Sister, I must say you've been a great help and thanks for everything! If there is anything else I can assist you with let me know," Delmon eyes the bodies while saying that last part, "And if there is nothing else, I'd suggest we begin figuring out where they may be coming from. For certain, I would not want them to come here and see the bodies of their own gang laying about."
Leo, who had been eagerly nodding along to Delmon as he spoke, stands up rather flustered and mutters, "Yes... err... thank you Sister... a great help... a great help indeed!"
Leaning in to Delmon he whispers, "Delmon... Out of curiosity, do you have experience in these types of matters... you know, setting ambushes and the what not?"
"Well.. to be honest I'm no skirmisher.. but I do know the basics! Just lined up out of sight. Right? That's all there is to it, how hard can it be! Haha!" Delmon ends his speech loud and proud.
(I'd suggest that those of you who have not yet 'voted' could do so, so that the group takes a clear decision and everyone agrees However, you still need to take action - tell me that you're leaving the shrine and what you're going to do first. Until then, it's just a discussion.)
Ophirinn starts "Well it seems like we all agree to go with plan 1. Since the most likely place we can find them is the Sleeping Giant, we are best off heading there if we want to get their attention, but staying here isn't going to help." Ophirinn then turns to Sister Garaele and bows his head slightly "Thank you Sister for all of your help, it had been most valuable."Ophirinn then turns to the group "To the Sleeping Giant?"
Outside, the streets are a little busier. It's still mid-morning, but many people are standing around, whispering, looking at you and at the Redbrand corpses nearby. They watch as you walk towards the street that heads east, towards the Sleeping Giant taphouse. One girl shouts to you, Did you kill those bandits? but a woman, possibly her mother or sister, shushes her and pulls her into the house and out of sight.
You walk east; people are giving you plenty of space, but are watching from a distance. There are a couple of small houses to either side of the road as you pass, but no-one speaks to you. The taphouse is not far, maybe a minute or two walking from the shrine; you reach it quickly. You can see that up ahead, this same road winds up a mound to the ruined manor that is said to be the Redbrands' base.
The wooden taphouse door is ajar, and there's no sound of anyone inside. It's a sturdy building but with few windows; customers like their privacy, it would seem. Across the road, a halfling boy is sitting on an ancient-looking stone wall about three feet in height; he looks around ten years old, and gives you all a friendly wave as you approach. Are you heroes? Are you going to beat the Redbrands?
Leo gently grasps Delmon's arm whispering, "Are we actually going to venture inside the Taphouse? Might it perchance be us that are walking into a trap? The little halfling lad has just given away our position nicely."
Leo returns the Halfling Boy's wave and smiles warmly at him.
"Oh come on Leo, have some faith, he's just a boy!" Delmon looks up to the halfling, "Hey, how'd you get up so high? I bet you can see the whole town from up there kid! We just want to talk with the red brands that's all. Be sure to keep a distance, maybe go indoors to stay safe, yeah?" Delmon then walks into the Sleeping Giant.
Delmon, the boy looks at you, and replies: I can climb anywhere. I go everywhere. He flings his arms out wide to encompass the whole town. Then he looks at you with a serious expression for a moment. He jumps down from the wall, and looks at you again. I know something you don't know!! he half-shouts, half-sings, and then he takes off running to the south.
You walk into the taphouse. It's filthy, with old stained wooden benches and chairs, and the smell of stale ale. A female dwarf stands at one table, cleaning it with a cloth. She looks at you as you enter. What can I get you?
Upon entering the inn, Delmon looks for a good seat with a wide view of the entrance. He moves to that seat as the dwarf addresses him. "I'll have a pint of your best ale!" He then plops down into the seat with great exaggeration. "Finally some rest for my legs." Delmon says as he chuckles slightly.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Following Delmon, firstly inside then to the table, Leo takes a seat in the chair which offers the best vantage of the inside of the Taphouse; specifically one where he can keep an eye on the door.
”I shall also have a pint of ale, my good lady.”
Leo checks over the Taphouse for anything unusual - particularly when it comes to patrons.
Ophirinn walks in after Delmon and Leo, briefly watch where to boy ran off, and take a seat on the opposite side of the table to Delmon And Leo; making he doesn't lock their view.
"Leo, we did the right thing, yes? I sometimes get carried away with my.. enthusiasm. I hope this wasn't a mistake. I don't want any more town blood to soak the streets tonight." Delmon does look concerned and a bit fidgety, toying with a splinter on the table's edge. He keeps looking up to the doorway, anxiously.

"To the Sleeping Giant." Delmon confirms, as he begins walking towards the inn.
