Leo, you head stealthily north-west. You catch no sight of the creature, which seems very good at hiding itself. Your darkvision allows you a decent view of the cavern, and as you get further north you can see that at the north-most part, the cavern opens into a storeroom. However, you are nearest the north-west exit, which is a flight of steps leading down. At the bottom of the stairs, you see a short corridor, with a wooden door on either side. They are both closed. You stand at the top of the stairs, looking down.
Okay, those of you with Leo are waiting at the top of the stairs. If you wish to descend, give me a marching order, and if you wish to go stealthily, Stealth checks.
Delmon will follow to the same exit as everyone else. "Just leaving that thing behind then?" He whispers. "What if it follows? I will stay behind us to keep an eye out for it, okay?"
Delmon will be at the back of the line, if the party is going slow I'd like to walk backwards. If we are traveling faster, I will walk forwards but checking behind us frequently.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Nate responds to Delmon "Yeh...let's leave it alone. It really creeps me out and I'd rather not get on its bad side. Hey - wanna toss down some more meat for him to keep him busy while we leave?"
Omnia says: "Guys lets sneak down these stairs and check to see what's at the end of the hallway. Maybe there's some prisoners as well in those rooms down there. You wanna lead the way Leo since you can see? I'll follow right behind you." Omnia draws her longbow and will cover Leo as he heads down. Nate still would have his torch lit and held up as well.
SO how about: Leo, Omnia, Nate, Brom (if he is coming), Delmon & Ophirinn (both holding the end)
Delmon nods at Nate, "Yeah you're right." As he rummages through his pack and pulls bits of dried meat. Once the party is ready to descend the stairs Delmon will throw the meat over to the last known location of the strange creature and head down with the party.
As a group, you head down the stairs, with Leo in front. Leo, you reach the bottom, and stand between two doors. The door to your right leads north; behind it you hear nothing. The door to your left leads south. You can hear some muffled noise from behind it; someone or something is there, but you've no idea what it is.
Leo turns to the rest of the group and whispers, "I hear voices behind this door... I am not sure whether they are the Redbrands or not. I reckon we could possibly try and rush in and catch them by surprise... or we could just try and sneak past the room. What do you reckon?"

Where is everyone else as this is happening?
Nate and Omnia will follow Leo, staying about 5-10 feet back. Nate still has his torch out.
Ophirinn will follow but change to the back position.

Great. Need a Stealth and Perception check from Leo, please.
Delmon, you toss the meat down into the crevasse and hear a scrambling noise, but very faintly.

Is there a keyhole I may be able to look / listen through?
DM - The Call of Strahd (CoS); Feyrealm Campaign, Chapter 0 - Bleak Prospect (BP), Chapter 1 - Destination Unknown (DU)
Afraid not. The door is closed, and there's no significant gap or hole to look through.
Can I hear what the voices are saying through the door?
DM - The Call of Strahd (CoS); Feyrealm Campaign, Chapter 0 - Bleak Prospect (BP), Chapter 1 - Destination Unknown (DU)
No, you can't tell anything except that there seem to be voices.
Leo turns to the rest of the group and whispers, "I hear voices behind this door... I am not sure whether they are the Redbrands or not. I reckon we could possibly try and rush in and catch them by surprise... or we could just try and sneak past the room. What do you reckon?"

"It will probably be best if we check it out, and deal with the potential problem now, don't know think?"
"Noise travels far in tunnels so if a fight breaks out the door needs to be shut behind us"
Bromduhr, Goliath Fighter.
(OOC: Okay, so what's the plan?)
OOC - I believe it is to rush in the room and close the door behind us, that correct?
(OOC: Okay, so if Leo or anyone else is leading that charge, then you can attempt to open the door and see what happens...)
