Draco is frozen, not knowing what to do. He knows to go up against that troll will surely mean his death, considering what it had done to that random poor adventurer. Cursing in his head he decides to go after the troll anyway. Jumping over tables, Draco leaps in the air, swinging the quarterstaff towards the creature's head followed by - while still in mid-air - a spinning heel kick to the jaw before making a three-point land.
Daron's quarterstaff attack bounces off the troll's thick hide. The troll, who hasn't quite made it out of the pit yet, looks at the half-elven monk, confusion crossing his enormous face. He tilts his head slowly to the side, as if to see him better. Bringing the quarterstaff around in a full arc, Daron gains momentum on his spin and cracks troll in the jaw with his heel. The troll's head pops back, and he spits out a yellow molar onto the tavern floor. He bellows, releasing hot, retched breath that billows the monk's loose clothing.
Durnan, the owner of the Yawning Portal, closes the gap between himself and the back end of the troll. With both hands on the greatsword, Grimvault, the man strikes at the beast repeatedly.
Leol is able to move back and to his left over an overturned table and some chairs to the best view of the geometry of the situation. A green mist fills the middle of the tavern floor in front of the troll for a moment, expanding upward toward the flying beasts (the stirges are between the troll and the two groups of adventurers). Daron, the troll, and Durnan miss the cloud of somnolence by mere inches. As quickly as it appeared, the mist evaporates, leaving the three stirges on the ground.
Fall Damage:
Stirge A: 2 Stirge B: 5 Stirge C: 3
All three stirges come crashing down, breaking their necks on impact.
The bleeding from the troll's wounds slows as the blood begins to coagulate and thick scabs form instantly over the deep slashes made by Durnan and his greatsword. Though in a very weakened state, the troll bellows again at Daron as it steps fully out of the hole, towering over him at his full height of 9 ft, but turns to the one that caused him immense pain...Durnan.
With it's massive clawed hands, the troll swats twice at the man and then, thinking his small head would make a tasty snack, snaps at the man with his row of long, sharp teeth.
Durnan manages to duck the first claw swipe, but the second hits him hard, causing two deep gashes up his side. Despite the pain, the owner of the Yawning Portal is able to bring up the greatsword and parry the troll's toothsome bite to the side.
The arrow flies toward the trolls neck and sticks in a quarter of an inch for just a second before the trolls swings his head and the arrow falls and clatters to the floor. The thick knot of muscle and rubbery green hide prove to be an impenetrable barrier to the arrow this time.

Grykham grins as the stirges fall and do not rise again. But it was a bit disconcerting to seen that troll still standing after the onslaught of Durnan's attacks. One day I'll fight like that he thinks to himself as he shifts his aim to the troll and fires again.
Kip looks at the troll with a bit of apprehension before a lopsided smile forms on his face. “This and that, brack and briar, what we need is a little faerie fire.

The troll, due to the large amount of blood-loss, wobbles. Though a fantastic idea, the fairy-fire fizzles before it can take hold of the shifting form. However, several tables, chairs, part of the bar and the hoisting apparatus (amazingly still standing just over the troll) are all glittering in purple light.

((I missed it, sorry. Thanks for pointing it out. Hang tight for the half-orc's turn))
Gryk's bolt flies wide of the troll, landing in the far wall just above a man with blousey pantaloons and shirt and an over-sized beret who is watching the conflict from behind the security of an overturned table. The man gives Gryk and thumbs up, as if trying to say "keep trying".
The half-orc lifts her leg and braces it on an over-turned chair and takes another shot at the troll with her crossbow. Attack: 22 Damage: 17
The bolt screams through the air landing several inches deep into the troll's temple to marinate in his brain. The giant monster collapses, crashing to the ground.
The half-orc raises her fist into the air and hoots and roars in victory.
Daron's turn.
((The troll is down, all three stirges are down, but for *reasons* will continue with initiative order. What do you do?))

Kip moves forward, cautiously, peering into the portal to make sure no other creatures are making their way up to join in the fun. With a quick glance to the tavern owner, he quips, "Well, that's one way to break up a brawl." The bard then offers a genuine smile to the half-orc, "Nice shooting. Your next drink is on him," he says, pointing to Gryk.
Durnan, his face serious, replies, "It is never that easy with a troll! They regenerate even after they fall...behind the bar are 3 jugs of acid. Quick!" He barks orders. He stands guard with his greatsword poised for a blow if the troll moves.
Just then, a haggard, agonal breath is sucked in by the troll. But it is his last as his regeneration powers could not make up for the damage suffered.
"Melt him anyway," Durnan says, not willing to leave a troll to chance.
"What do ya want, a pet troll Leol? I'm really beginning to think you are a fool sticking your nose in other people's fights and now wanting a troll for a pet." Gryk says as he moves behind the counter to grab a jug of acid and begins to pour it on the troll starting at the head. "And don't think you are spending my money Kip." As he finishes the jug off he calls to Durban. "Does this happen often, stuff climbing out of this pit?"
Daron steps back as Gryk starts pouring acid on the troll, the stench causing him to scrunch up his nose. "I'm afraid I have to side with Gryk on this, Leol," he said looking over at the elf, "leaving this as it is would be unwise. Especially in a city setting where innocents could get hurt."
