She would let out a little laugh when Alexis would make the comment about Thia making it sound like a secret society. “Fair enough.” She’d nod at the woodelf. “I’m free to join you. Anything I need to bring with me?”
Alexis smiled at Thia: “Your enthusiasm is great, but it’s getting dark and unfortunately the city streets aren’t the safest at night, particularly where my skills are needed. Meet me tomorrow morning at the Mudgate, to head to the Outer Ward. Bring what you use to treat people with, I can’t tell you what we’ll have on our hands.”

Celeste flashed her intoxicating smile at Brandt and with a wink says:”Right this way, we have private rooms aplenty, though normally we charge extra for groups.” With that, she led the small group upstairs. Ling seemed to feel visibly ill at ease at the fhoice of locale. To Milo, the combination of the brothel, gambling den, and tavern was intriguing. He might want to come here alone, because in a place like this there were sure to be plenty of opportunities for business.
Having reached a larger room at the end of the pine-pannelled floor, Celeste led the group into a room decorated like the inside of a desert chief’s tribal yurt, with a large waterpipe in the middle and ample pillows strewn about a room otherwise thickly carpeted and filled with drapes, silks, and other veils that rendered the lighting of the lantern hanging centrally very diffuse. “Would you like to eat or drink anything in the meantime? We also offer companionship or entertainment, should you want it.” The latter part was spoken into the round, although Brandt could have sworn her eyes rested on him just a while longer as she said this.

"Maybe later. Right now it's business before pleasure." As Celeste leads the group, Brandt makes no motion to pay for the room, clearly indicating to Sparks without words that he can either pay for the room himself or pay Brandt more. Once everyone is in the room and Celeste has taken everyone's orders (if they order anything), Brandt gets himself comfortable. "So, let's get talking."

Thia couldn’t help but think the night is dark and full of terrors... as she nodded in agreement to Alexis. “I will see you then” She’d smile again.
Thia would hang back for only a couple more moments to tidy up the space, throwing out trash as she scavenged for any small useful materials that she can add to her med kit. You never know when you may need more bandages. As she does so she would keep an eye on her surroundings and any individuals who may be in the area, just in case there is any one she may recognize or may make her feel suspicious like she’s being watched.
“Mister Krull, I believe that your wife is not in further danger at the moment. If you start mucking about, doing your own investigation, that could easily change. If you find her, I guarantee you, they will kill her.” Tarian pointed at the severed fingers. “This could have been a head.” She strode to the door and looked over her shoulder. “For now, I need you to do two things: one,” Tarian flicked out her index finger, “do what they said. Do not negotiate with Mister Cannith. And two,” she flicked a second finger to match the first, “we need you to chase us out, as angry as you can, as though negotiations failed. I’d explain further, but Mister Cannith wants Sylvia back home with all haste.” Tarian glanced at Arc pointedly and reached for the doorknob.

As Celeste leaves the room, Ling starts to talk:”Mr Sparks, my workers are tired of promises. We’ve heard enough of those during the war, it’s time we get our due. We need to have food, medicines, wages, or decent housing. You provide that, and I can get you eight hundred welders for your rail road.” Bellows added:”We want to find a peaceful resolution to the strike against our current bosses. Having your support behind us will let them know we have the means to keep the strike going. You might have little interest in increasing your own costs for the future, but I can guarantee you five tonnes of Brelish steel a day if you do.”
Sitting back to listen to their offers, Sparks now turns to Brandt and Milo:”What do you make of these offers? In my shoes, what would you do?”
It was at this moment that the door slid open, and the woman with the facial tattoo entered the room with some dates wrapped in bacon, roasted nuts, and pitted black olives, aswell as some Brelish summer wine. The employer is responsible for providing a fair wage for a good days work so those things are obtainable for the workers. If those things aren’t, then that’s something that needs to be brought up to the council. Perhaps finding a spot to make affordable housing. I think that is fair.” Milo looks over to Sparks and the Worker representatives. “Now this is a very big undertaking so your workers would have to know and be okay with some hiccups along the way. I think it would look best If Mr. Sparks and the workers union gave a united front when it comes to negotiations with the council. Seeing full support of each other could go a long way.” Milo begins packing his pipe.

A smile creeked up Sparks’ face: ”I’m glad to see that my judgement of your characters was accurate. Pausing to take a sip from the sweet wine, he continued, eyes aflame with passion and a sense of the endless possibilities “Miss Ling, my offer is simple. The crew bosses will receive the same and for more than five miles a day, they will receive an additional ten gold for themselves and the crew for each additional mile laid. He let his words sink in, before turning to to his confidantes. “What I need to do now is simple. Miss Ling, Bellows, you speak to your people and let them know what I can offer. Mr Spudsder, I want you to accompany Miss Ling to speak with her crews and to talk with their families about what you are personally willing to give to the project. I might also have need of you with some more stubborn proconsuls, but for now, do what you do best and charmthe masses. And lastly, Brandt. For you, I have a tricky mission. For now, House Cannith sees me as a competitor at best and an idealistic fool at worst. Either way, they won’t listen to me. I need you to be my envoy. Let them know, in practical terms, what will happen to their factories if someone else chooses to side with this project. Flatter if necessary, or threaten if you deem it wise, but endure that a representative of House Cannith meets with us.”
