Harmony saw as the room they got to was pitch black, but she was able to see the tables and chairs, wondering if people were here recently. But she did not like the smell at all, disgusted by the half-eaten remains of rat. She watched Jove and Abraxas were inspecting scrolls and papers that had writing, knowing that she wasn't so good with investigating and puzzles really. "We should keep going, with how large this maze is, they must be lost in here somewhere. So we could find them if we're quick enough" Harmony had said back, hopeful and gesturing to the closed door that they should go through.
"I think that's a good idea, Harmony." Jove says. He stays back to guide Olive a bit better. Caiphon can only move, Jove can say 'watch out for the table to your left' or whatever.
Following Harmony's advice, you open the remaining door and enter a familiar corridor. Three doors are now open, one that you first entered through and two along this same wall that lead to the previous room, with the half-eaten rats.
As such, one door is still closed on the wall to your left, and a narrow hallway further ahead in the corridor has two doors along its side, and one at each end.
"Hmm," Abraxas says. "If our guiding principle is to move left, then it seems we should open the closed door on the wall to our left."
Abraxas examines the door before opening it, unless there are objections. He tries to perceive all he can about the door especially any dangers or traps: 20.
Aisha follows the group quietly, not really seeing anything of value, and she progressively becomes more and more bored. While this doesn't dull her alertness, she can be heard sighing a bit. The rats corpses? No interest, though Tsavi would likely begin eating them .. since they were there, and her mistress didn't seem to care either way. (Con save IF needed: 1)
Once the group opened through the next door, her boredom broke into a slight impatience. Aisha does nyot mean to impose... as your 'left' strategy is.. admittedly smart... Aisha had never thought of that before.. instead leavign marks on places she had already been... yes... but .. we can all see these doors, yes? This one suggests we all open one..... see what is inside.... and report it. So we don't spend a week down here checking every door. No one goes in a door. Only peeks their head in and looks, yes? Is this not sound and expurrdient?
Regardless of the parties answer, Aisha, with Tsavi in tow, likely another rat in her maw going down her gullet (unless something bad happened the first time) would head to the farthest door from the group that was still within sight, and cautiously opened it, leaning her back against the wall, and pushing in with her wrist like "L" or.. if it opened outward, pull it carefully toward her. Then, cautiously peek her head around the corner if her hearing (passive 19) didn't detect any noise, to 'look' inside after makign sure she was quiet (stealth or SoH same mod: 25 (Vision perception: 24.

But I will likely be postign in mornings ((my time)) after waking up. But i can only post once/day at that point.)
OOC: Once a day is plenty, it's good to have you back!
Finding no sign of danger, Abraxas opens the door on the left wall to a room similar to the rat-filled room, though on a larger scale. This roughly 40-by-50-foot mess hall has four sets of tables and chairs. Large papers are set across each table. Four goblins sit among the tables, looking bored and inattentive. Each wall of the room contains a closed wooden door.
Meanwhile, T'savi hacks and spits out a half-chewed body of a half-eaten rat, clearly displeased by the taste. She follows Aisha loyally as she "meownders" across the room, carefully pushing open the door across the way. Dim light spills out from the doorway from an unseen source as it opens. Aisha peeks inside and doesn't see much from a glance; the floor and walls are made of the same stone, but oddly, the light seems to be evenly distributed throughout the room, making it difficult to have its source pinpointed.
Jove speaks telepathically to Abraxas first, then the others. "We can always come back to check out the papers. Let's leave those goblins be and check out the room with light, so Olive can see again."
Abraxas gently shuts the door. He moves as quietly as he can toward the room with evenly distributed light, which he thinks to himself, is better for reading anyway.
"Who do you think Wizen, from the note in the other room, is? The one who taunted owl bears? Must be a goblin," he whispers to Jove and the others. "Could that be connected with our missing magic users?" He shakes his head, not sure about any connections. "Jiazirm could be a goblin name as well. But hydras from Vandyr? Didn't we kill one ourselves?" Impag, he thinks. Have I ever in my history heard that name before? 24. He will mention any memory he has of it to the others and ask if they recall it.
He steps next to Aisha and peers into the room as well.
Aisha See's Abraxas join her nearby, and cautiously steps into the room, ready to Dodge if need be... you never knew in these kinds of places. As for possible connections to magic users... Aisha wasn't quite smart enough to put those possible links together, but somehow doubted it. She would cautiously slither into the room, taking stock, left and right, seeing if anything began to move... or attack.
If not, while still ready to dodge, she would shift enough focus to begin checking the 'contents' of the room, drawers, cabinets, tables.... anything that wasn't locked. (Invest: 15) Looking for signs of anythign valuable, whether materially, or information/knowledge she could bring back with her to her homeland.
Once she found whatever she could within, she would attempt to think upon the light-source.... Did she know anythign about it?
17 (If -1 whether history or arcana) and if she remembered or found anything in any of all this, she would inform Abraxis.
Opening the door the rest of the way, Aisha steps into an empty room. Looking left, then right, she (and the others outside of the room) sees only her shadow...on all four walls! It's as if the light source is behind her, in front of her, and on both sides, spreading a dark version of her form throughout the room.
Then when she stops moving, the shadows begin to dance erratically, stretching, thinning, and expanding in grotesque fashion, until she begins moving again, when they calm and follow her movements.
She states to Abraxas that the light is definitely magical in nature - there is nothing within this room at all that could be creating the light.
Then, as she speaks, the others watch in horror as the shadows emerge from the wall and descend upon Aisha.
Strength Drain vs. Aisha: 23 Strength Drain vs. Aisha: 14 Strength Drain vs. T'savi: 24 Strength Drain vs. T'savi: 13
The shadows converge upon the ranger and her companion. Not expecting them, Aisha manages to back away from one but into another as its arms stretch toward her. As it passes through, she takes 7 necrotic damage, and her knees begin to shake and buckle (her Strength has been reduced by 4). T'savi growls, all of her fur standing on end, and yelps as a shadow practically falls through her, dealing 12 necrotic damage (and reducing her Strength by 8).
Round 1 Order: Shadows Players <=====
For Aisha:
Suddenly, the weight of your equipment is so great that you feel it could drag you to the ground and hold you there in place.
OOC: Because of your Strength decrease, you are currently Overencumbered. You will have to drop your pack to gain any movement.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Aisha jumping at the sudden assault, but feeling weary all of a sudden... Takes a moment....
Her actions, based on ....
If slipping free of the pack, is afree action...... Aisha will slip free, growling at the shadows as she makes her way just outside the room, slipping past Abraxus before her teammates 'trap' her in there by converging on it. (likely taking AOO's) and assuming she doesn't die, as soon as she's out of the room, she will cast Spike Growth in a way that the end of the spell nearest the group would not exceed the door frame. UNLESS the shadows vanish.... then she will instead Heal Tsavi with Cure Wounds at level 2, for 12 to keep Tsavi from dying. (Reasoning based on Tsavi's action farther down)
If it is not Aisha will use her action to slip free, and attempt to get out (likely taking AOO's) and make her way out of the room before she is trapped by the group.
Tsavi, will take the Disengage and flee to her mistress to be healed, if her mistress survived.
If Aisha died..... Tsavi, in a fury will Attack the one that felled her with a Bite attack for Attack: 25 Damage: 7
There are some darrrk crreaturres in there.... she shays, shaking, and quaking with weakness, as the emerald light of whichever of the two spells she cast fades, though if it was spike growth, she maintains concentration.
(edit to make sure its clear, shes castign spike growth WITHIN the room, not outside it. basically making the entire rooms floor 'lava')
OOC: Aisha has a path through the room, so slipping away is free, though without disengaging she will open herself to at least two attacks of opportunity.
Giving Abraxas some more time to post (planning to bot Harmony unless she gets back first) before advancing.
Harmony had followed everyone else, hearing Aisha's suggestion of all of them opening up every door and looking inside only, reporting it to the group so they can get through this faster. She nodded in agreement to that, seeing Abraxas open up a door to a mess hall with four goblins in there, all of them deciding to leave them alone. Then Aisha opened up another door, which was an empty but well-lit room but wondered where the light was coming from. She watched Aisha go in there, extremely confused when her shadow was on all four walls, acting strange when Aisha wasn't moving. But as Aisha said something to Abraxas, she was shocked when the shadows then attacked Aisha and Tsavi. "Aisha!!" Harmony screamed, scared for her friend. If Aisha makes it out of the room alive and didn't die, she will cast Healing Word on her at 1st Level 8 to help heal her. Then she would move to be in front of Aisha and Tsavi to block the way of the shadows if the shadows are still in the room, taking the Dodge Action. If Aisha died, Harmony will scream and cry for her friend before casting Healing Word at Level 2 6 on Tsavi to try to save who Aisha treasured the most at least. Then if the shadows are still in the room, she would be furious and cast Vicious Mockery 3 on the shadow that took out Aisha and that Tsavi attacked, tears streaming down her face.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
The party explodes into motion, sending a barrage of arrows, ice, and psychic energy into the room. Aisha is surely lost. As she moves to sprint out of the room, she falls beneath the weight of her own equipment, and along the way, takes 4 piercing damage as one of Olive's arrows passes straight through a shadow and into her arm. T'savi desperately leaps into a shadow, trying to tear it apart, but simply soars through it, and falls prone. The panther's legs wobble as she, failing in strength her self, desperately attempts to save her master.
And then, the shadows are gone. Aisha's form is still breathing, healed by Harmony's word, though she does not have the strength to stand while still carrying her equipment.
