Between Jove's emphasis on Toril and Abraxas's questions, the woman's confusion turns to a chuckle.
"You bear the look of adventurers, but you don't get out much do you? What kind of rock do you live under that you don't know the name of our most prominent moon? Wait, you..." she stops midsentence, focusing her eyes between Harmony and Isabella. "Now isn't this strange...here I am teasing you, but it seems there are some among you whose races I am not even able to identify. There is more to this group than meets the eye, yes? Perhaps you did not simply come here for work, hmm?"
"Well, we do have some questions that we hope someone can answer. We come from a world called Toril, but yesterday we woke up in the tavern, with no idea how we got here."

Harmony had been sleepy, not getting as much as she normally would and so had been uncharacteristically quiet this whole time. Even she had been surprised by the environment outside and all the strange inhabitants that she's never ever seen before. Then she saw the woman look at her and Isabella, hearing her question how she can't identify their races and if they didn't come here just for work. "We are trying to get answers as to how we got here, why we are here in this world, and how we can return back home to our world." she had finally said back to her, yawning and rubbing her eyes to try to fully wake up.
The woman narrows her eyes a bit, walking around Harmony and studying her intently, using a large magnifying glass. "How marvelous...this is not the work of a spell...you bear the look of a devil, yet I sense little evil in you. No doubt an infernal bloodline, but in what lineage, a human? An elf? My dear, others might call me crazy for this, but I believe you," she says.
"Oli!"she shouts. A rather plain human man saunters over, closing a book he had been poring over, dressed in simple robes with cropped brown hair. "Yes ma'am?" he asks with a respectful bow.
"Oli, forget the translations. I have something I think you'll enjoy, and you need to get out more. These adventurers are interested in investigating the Ice Basilisk, and you're going to accompany them,"she says.
"Ma'am! I can't possibly--" Oli starts.
"You can, and you are going to, or your payment this week will be in copper. They are not from here. You are going to accompany them until they return, and you will answer every question that they ask, earnestly, no matter how dumb it may seem to you,"she explains.
Oli opens his mouth to reply, but thinks better of it. He looks over the party, and for the first time seems to take stock of the members whose bloodline seems so foreign here. His confusion turns to a look of curiosity.
"As long as you follow through on your investigation, Oli will serve as your guide. He is one of the most studious acolytes we have, and he will be able to fill you in on the things you don't fully understand," she tells you with a wink.
"Goblins, she said," Abraxas says to himself. "Fleeing animals." He stares at the map. Turns it upside and sideways. "Not Toril. Probably not dreaming. My report on that vault break in is due tomorrow." He looks up and asks Oli, "The statue appeared. We appeared soon after. Do you think there is a connection?"
Jove's eldritch invocation Eyes of the Runekeeper allow him to read all writing. Is there any text in here that is not Toril-ian? If so, what does it say?
I find it very strange that they speak common here, despite being another planet.
"Well, Roxy and I don't have the wherewithal to figure out an expedient way home, we might as well help these fine people. What do you say girl?" Roxy flaps her wings wildly and picks at some of the feathers on her leg, perched on Isabella's forearm. "I... Roxy seems noncommittal but in the end," Iz leans in to whisper to the woman behind the desk, "I'm the boss so she'll do as I say."
Harmony was surprised as the woman was walking around her and studying her, talking about how she looks like a devil but senses little evil in her, an infernal bloodline but questioning what lineage. "Of course I'm not evil." she had said back, already not liking it here on this new planet. At least back home, people know of tieflings and she thought it was bad enough there, never mind here. There was a reason why she painted her horns white, to look less like all the other tieflings and not be seen as evil or bad at all. She saw as the man Oli came out, hearing that he would be accompanying them until they return, answering their questions and how he will be their guide on their investigation since he is a studious acolyte that can fill them in on stuff. "Yes, we should go check out the statue as soon as possible." Harmony had said back and nodded, hoping that maybe they can find a way back home after they go figure out what is happening with that Ice Basilisk.
"I assume you mean Mitsi. That would be me," the old woman says. "You would like to know more about the Orb of the Magi? I'm afraid Vandyr is a bit in the wrong direction from Loch Varokaj, but I can answer any questions for you if you are interested in locating that for us as well."
"I am sorry, the Order is not providing rations. Most of our budget has gone to finding the Orb of the Magi, I'm afraid, which is why we do not have a reward for the Ice Basilisk; though as I believe I mentioned, anything that you find there is yours to do with as you please, provided it does not further endanger the world."
OOC: Isabella and Harmony, is there anything you want to do in town before setting off for Loch Varokaj? I don't want to assume before setting you off on a three week journey.
"I have some rations and I can hunt, but we should probably try to buy some more. And since we were able to get room and board last night, it seems like gold is as good in this world as it was back home. Let's go shopping before we head out."

"All right. I'll pick up some rations as we go," Abraxas says. "The Orb of the Magi . . . have to explore that, maybe after we know why we're here and how to get back home whenever we want." He tries to see if the Order sells any supplies.
"What is the landscape like, I'm adept at foraging in areas where small game and edible plants are plentiful but I am not familiar with your... planet? Continent? In any case, perhaps we should peruse the market so that I can get some idea of what's edible in these parts so we don't have to carry so many dry... flavorless rations, right Roxy?" Roxy preens her feathers, looking as disinterested as a bird could look.
Harmony had heard as Oli asked if they are leaving now, thinking and looking in her bag. She still has her instruments and everything that she needs, ready to go until she heard that the Order wouldn't be providing rations. "Yeah, we should go shopping and make sure that we will have enough rations and food." she had said back in agreement with everyone else. She assumed that this would be a long long trip to that Ice Basilisk, used to being on the road for a day or two at most before stopping in a town or city to rest and perform at. "Are there any towns or cities on the way to it that we'll be able to stop at?" Harmony had asked Oli, thinking that since they'll be on the road that she will have to stick to singing and playing an instrument for now. At least she can still perform for her friends, both old and new along the way while they are traveling.
"Nothing but grass and forest from here to there," Mitsi says. "Though keep in mind with the reports we've had of animals fleeing the area you're likely to find less game the closer you get. We don't sell any supplies here but you'll find plenty of good in the market."
"I'm afraid there's not much in the way of civilization in between. Rikirta is vast; outside of Ruskivek the only nearby town is Veka to the south...more of a village than a town, though," she tells Harmony.
OOC: So that we don't spend a week searching and haggling, feel free to summarize your shopping in the market. The city has anything listed on the Adventuring Gear, Weapons, and Armor tables of the PHB in limited supply available at the listed price.
