"Okay everyone. Stand back. We don't know what this is and it is apparently really powerful. It could explode or suck us into another dimension or control our minds. I can figure it out. Um. Just give me a few minutes. Yeah. That should be safe enough." If the others will allow him the time, Jove would like to cast identify on the new orb as a ritual.
Ten minutes pass, the only sound other than Jove's chanting the occasional wind from the opening on the floor below.
For Jove:
When active, this orb creates a dry heat wave in the surrounding area, and slowly expands in area. In its current state it is inactive, having gone inert once picked up by Aisha.
"Okay. This orb is magic, but I don't know if it is actually the Magi orb. It apparently makes it hot around here. Aisha grabbing it made it inert... Could we have just ruined the ecosystem here? What is the Magi orb supposed to do?"
Aisha had reluctantly backed away, but left the orb surrounded by 3 arrows in a pyramid to keep it from rolling away as Jove cast his magic spell. Though it took an agonizing amount of time for the Tabaxi, the spell eventually reached it's finale. As Jove explained what the orb did, and then his concerns, she would say (personal roll: 6) Mm you may be right..... and Aisha had a thought... but it slipped her mind.. your spell took so long.. no offense. But something about your guess doesn't ring right, but Aisha can't quite place why.... Aisha feels we should keep the orb. Either it is what we are looking for, or something else entirely. Aisha just can't think that people with good intentions would hide it behind Kobolds and Hydaras. That and Aisha wishes to study it more.. this is a selfish reason, yes, but .... *sigh* this one will go with the will of the group. she says, solemnly.
If no one else takes the orb, however, and the vote is to keep it, she will ask to keep it on her person, if the vote is to put it back, she will do so, hesitantly. If the party decides to keep it but they will not let her have it, she will look longingly at the sphere as it goes with whoever gets it.
Tsavi lays napping, waiting for a fight or the need to move, conserving her energy.
After whatever ends up happening, Aisha will then say But no use dawd-illing here yes... can we check that thing Aisha felt out nyow? Aisha still feels it's tug, however faintly.... then reclaiming her 3 arrows.
"We should take it North with us, assuming we still feel a pull in that direction," Abraxas says. "Unless, Jove, there are other things we need to know about it?" He tries to investigate it as an arcane object again: 19
"Is there a reason why we can't just take it back to Ruskivek and have them tell us if this is the real orb or not? It would be much easier than going out in the middle of some strange planet towards some weird thing that's trying to make us all go that way. I have a bad feeling about it. I don't know much about magic, but I know about hunting and luring prey. This could be a trap."

Xenophon: Topaz Dragonborn Fighter (ixi's Dragon of Icespire Peak)
Harmony had watched as Aisha grabbed the orb, relieved as nothing bad had happened at all. Then she heard as Jove wanted to figure out the orb, nodding back and letting him do so, humming the whole time. Once he was done, he had told them that the orb is magic but wasn't sure if it was the one they were looking for since it apparently makes it hot around here but Aisha had made it inactive. She did listen to Aisha, agreeing to how important it is due to being protected by Kobolds and Hydras. Aisha and Abraxas wanted to keep it with them as they go north, but Olive questioned if they should take it back to Ruskivek to find out if it is the real orb or not, how dangerous it would be to go out in the middle of this strange planet to a possible trap. "I would think that this is what we were supposed to find, they had told us to go this way after all. We should probably take it back and confirm that this is the orb we need first before going somewhere unknown." Harmony had then commented with her opinion, wondering what Jove wants to do since they all seemed to be split on what to do next.
"I don't know. I just. I'm getting told to go north. But the people said it was this direction. And we all feel being pulled north. What if that is our patrons of this world who are trying to guide us the right way and I don't understand it either. I will go whichever way you all want. We are in a completely different world, heck we are on the moon, and I don't understand the rules here... Aisha, you can take the orb. We have all had some decisions. Since you got the took the leap in and started fighting to get it, I think you should be the one who decides what to do with it. You seem to have an affinity with it."
Barty, are there any other ways out of this place other than back through the kobolds?
There's not much else to be gleaned from the orb at a glance, though it does seem interesting that while it apparently creates a fiery landscape and intense heat, its color is not red, the typical arcane association to the element of fire.
OOC: There are two exits to the ziggurat that you have seen; the entrance at the first floor where you came in, and the hole in the structure of the 3rd floor.
Does Abraxas remember how far down it was to the ground from the hole on the 3rd floor?
"I am persuaded by Olive and Harmony's arguments," he says. "Trap are dangerous. Taking the orb back to Ruskivek may generate useful information. We can also ask there about our shared compulsion to travel North. They may be able to provide insight."
Returning to the third floor, Jove leans out of the hole in the wall to examine the sides of the ziggurat. The outer wall of each floor drops around 15 feet to a 10-foot-wide platform, and the decay of the structure has left suitable handholds to attempt a climb down. It would require some focus and timing, but looks quite possible.
OOC: A set of common clothing is the clothing that you wear throughout the day. Tied together, you might gain a length of makeshift rope that is about as long as Abraxas is tall.
The Orb of the Magi has been added to Aisha's inventory.
"I think we shouldn't cross the kobolds again after we killed their moms. Does anyone have rope? Perhaps we could rappel down, then Aisha could untie the rope, or clothes, and climb down herself? Tabaxi are good at climbing, right?"
Aisha, feeling a bit overweighted, sighs as she pulls out her hempen rope, and lays it on the floor, breathing a sigh of relief as that brings her easily under-weight. Aisha then pulls out her Hammer and a single Pitton.
AIsha is glad she planned for something like this... AIsha has several more bt Aisha can nyo longer carry her own rope.... the issue with being overprepared is being overweighed down she says with a sigh, followed by a weary smile. If someone else could take Aisha's rope and spare the poor kittens back, Aisha can scale her way down safely. Just tie off the top here... she says, getting near the 'window-hole' And Aisha has these.. she says, flashing her normally hidden claws This kitten should be able to climb down safer than any of the rest of you. Then each 'platform' Aisha will use another pitton to secure your exits.
Aisha intends to use her hammer/pitons to create safe 'locks' by hammering them into the ziggurat a foot or so away from the edge of each 'ledge' as she climbs down, creating essentially a rock climbers safety rope, even if we all have to drop the last few feet or so.
Not sure if you need any rolls for the hammering or climbing, but Tabaxi do have 'climbing speed' and if someoen else takes Aisha's rope, that gives her 10 LB's to work with.
(OOC - Also as stated in the OOC i'm moving, VERY soon, I will need to be piloted in most situations until my internet is setup at my new place. I feel her likely-actions are obvious enough by now. I will post when I can.. but i'm moving multiple cities over so i'm going to be exhausted, and 90% netless until then)
Climbing ahead of the party, Aisha uses her feline nature to her advantage, scaling the side of the ziggurat with ease and creating a rope to assist the others with their own climb down by hammering a piton into the ledges on the 3rd and 2nd floors.
OOC: Removed 2 pitons and rope (for now) from Aisha's inventory.
Once he reaches the ground, a sweaty Abraxas thanks Aisha for the help. He takes a moment to arrange his gear, then begins walking back toward Ruskivek.
Does he notice any difference in the environment? Have things cooled or is it all still sandstone and grit?
"Okay everyone. Stand back. We don't know what this is and it is apparently really powerful. It could explode or suck us into another dimension or control our minds. I can figure it out. Um. "Sure." Olive will back up and allow Jove to cast his spell on the orb, since he knows magic much more than she does.
