"I could be useful in that area, but I don't have any tools of the trade - so to speak." Valen tests the door. "Seems like it will open easily enough though."
He looks back down to the old woman. (Deception 25) "We are just going to check things out inside - for the safety of our friend. I would hate that if he's in there hurt and unable to move."
"You do that dearie, key under the loose panel at the foot of the door on the left side should help." she winks up to Valen "I 'ope e ain't dead, always 'ad a nice word 'e did, more n can be said for that girl though, miserable baggage."
"I am glad you chose to lie to her instead of woo her" Brock would whipster to Valen "Who knows what may have happened if your streak with impressing women were to continue" He would say with a laugh.
"Don't know er name, visits 'im often enough, 'mongst others hahaha"she chuckles to herself "like I said nice boy 'e is, everyone likes 'im. Not short of visitors."

"Still not wanting to get paid twice" Brock would whisper giving Wallis a nudge. "Who knows... he might have 5 or 6 other woman that might pay us to let them know where he is... the guy sounds like a real gold mine" He will say with a big grin as he opens the door and goes inside.
The room that greets Brock, and the others as they enter is in a state of disarray, however it would be hard to say whether or not it had been done deliberately at first glance, clearly Glandon was a messy individual and there is evidence of meals left out and unwashed clothes lying around along with a general need to clean everything. The place is split into three areas, a sleeping space, partially separated from the other two areas, which are a small place to wash and make food and a living space. The sleeping space is essentially just a large unmade bed, the washing area is small and shows little sign of being regularly used, but is as dirty as the rest of the place and the living area has signs of several people using the area to smoke from a large waterpipe which is situated on a small table, there is a faint smell that seems likely to be some form of narcotic lingering in the air, and several empty bottles are littered around it.
Wallis and Brock take in a few other details as they enter, there is a window on what is the back wall to them which is open allowing a breeze to come through the building, and the rug in the living area is slightly stained with a dark red mark. (From Passive Perceptions - feel free to roll for more!)

"You met 'er, that face ain't never seen a smile ever, I'll wager." she laughs to herself again "still probably the jealous type, can't say she didn't 'ave reason to be". The lady gives Valen a wink and disappears back inside.

Brock would would make his way through the room, occasionally picking up some trash to see if there is anything of importance underneath. "This guy lives in a damn dump" Brock would say as he covers his nose with his free hand.

"I'm trying not to dislike him but I promised Segan and I intend to keep me word," Wallis grumbles at Brock looking around. Then pointing to the stain. "That's not reassuring," she adds.
Brock notices several things, the stain is blood, but the amount of it would have not been life threatening to a human adult, and it seems to be relatively fresh, probably no more than a few days old. Brock also sees a letter written on quite nice paper crumpled by the side of a small table. It reads as follows.
G.
The waiting drives me insane, how much longer will you make me stay before we can quit this place, be alone somewhere nobody knows us. Meet me tonight where we first met, the crack by Caspian's Forge, down in the darkness where we belong. I will wait for you where the starlight lights the way.
Always yours,
K

"Yeah that is blood... but not enough to mean someone isdead" he would say as his attention is drawn to a fancy letter nearby. "damn it I knew he was in the cracks!" Brock would say after reading the notes and tossing it to Willis. "Not sure who K is though... maybe one of his other girlfriends..." he will say as he continues to sift through the garbage that seem important.
"This....well is certainly not what I expected," Wallis replies. "Maybe look around somewhere for Caspian's Forge," she offers. "Poor Mirel," she adds frowning

"Don't tell me he was dating men too... I mean... when do you find time to sleep?" Brock would say with a hard eye-roll. "Anyway, you guys find anything else? Otherwise I think wallice is right... our next stop should be Caspian's Forge."
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Valen shrugs at Brock's remark. "I'd imagine when your a pickpocket that you have plenty of downtime to fill." He looks around the room and resists the urge to use his prestidigitation to clean up some of the mess. "I'm ready to continue on when we're done here."

Although the party had not heard of Caspian's Forge the get directions from a vendor across the street from the building, five minutes later they are standing in front of one of the reasons the area has it's name. The crack itself is about ten feet wide at the opening, stretching and narrowing for twice that, there are small cracks running off from it in a stright line carving a strip nearly one hundred feet through the city. Buildings creep up on the edges everywhere, including Caspian's Forge, which is not actually a forge but a tattoo parlour. It is by now about ten in the evening, the stars and a few streetlights provide some illumination and you can see that the descent would be easy enough for you, the ground is about fifteen feet down from street level.

Wallis doesn't notice anyone except for the old lady in the area at all.

"That is certain. Somedays you have it, I suppose," Valen replies as he reaches down, retrieves the key and hands it to Brock.
The nobleman then begins to descend back towards the woman. "What do you mean by that - the girl that is? Are you referring to Mirel?"
