"The magic user who is showing a great interest in my business and his friends, I presume? Would you like to sit?" He waves a hand over to several chairs in front of him, one of his friends moves his own chair slightly to the side, ostensibly to make space but his positioning is now slightly behind that of one of the offered chairs and his hand rests on the hilt of a dagger.
"I take it Glandon is the reason for your visit, seeing as you have been speaking with Mirel and her father, would you care to tell me what you want, I have business of my own to attend tonight and you are a waste of time I have little enough of."

"Just looking to find him... His woman is worried about him and her dad is tired of her crying at work" Brock would say as he moves to sit in the chair closest to the man resting his hand on the dagger. Once in the chair he will tilt slightly towards the man and lock eyes with him and then look down to his dagger before looking back to Kyve. "We don't really care if he is alive or dead... just looking to bring him back one way or another." He would say with a grin.
"He is important to me as well, if he is to be found we will find him, go and play nursemaid to that ink-stained idiot of a girl and leave me alone." Kyve looks squarely at Wallis, trying to decide on her motives, "even if you are doing this from kindness I doubt you will find anything, have you any other leads except for harassing me? If so go ahead, if you find him I will show you my generosity. But come to me before her." He remains in his seat, but looks at you expectantly to leave.
"If he is important to you, why not tell us what you know so we can find him" Brock would ask from his chair as he continues to keep an eye on the man with a dagger next to him. "You say he is important to you, and say IF we find him we should bring him to you... well.. we could do that if ya help us find him." He would say with a smile.
"If I had a way of finding him that I had not acted on, I would be doing it - scour every inch of these streets if you wish, above and below, it shouldn't take you more than a few months."Kyve stands abruptly "I will see you again, I'm sure - the world doesn't stop for a missing man, no matter who he is, at least not down here. Take care out there, I wish you no harm I just have nothing to offer you." He starts to walk away before placing a hand gently on Valen's shoulder "Be careful of using your gift, I knew of you within five minutes of your spell being cast, which probably means that the Blades do too, they watch for things like that and they are always wary of magic in all it's forms. There is a man downstairs who can change his appearance like I understand you can, he can change his face but he is lazy and often uses the same ones, that and he doesn't change his clothing normally. We pretend that we don't know him, I suggest you do the same, but at the same time mark him for later - he is sitting in the window seat eating alone."

"Mark him, look at him, study him and learn about him, it might make it easier to spot him next time whichever face he wears - up to you... If you find him alive, I will double what they are offering now. He is no use to me dead." he says as he walks down the stairs. His friends moving more slowly step ahead of you near the top of the stairs meaning that your opportunity to follow is restricted for the next few moments.
OOC - Sorry Dzendalin Blades, or the Blades are the elite City Guards, not the Watch but they are the ones who would employ Witch Hunter's (for information not for persecuting - the powers that be do not forbid magic but they are wary and don't want people going around using powers that could very easily cause harm) - you could easily have heard of them without knowing more detail than that the Dzendalin Blades as a military group are famed across the Empire..

"I bet that guy I caught looking at you was totally a Blade" Brock woud say with a nudge to Valen. "So the way I look at it is... we find our guy... hand him over to his concerned boss.... and then let our friendly innkeeper know that he is alive and well and that his daughter can find him here.... BOOM! we get paid twice and everyone wins!" He would say with a grin as he gives Wallis a playful slap on the back.
"That man disgusts me," Wallis says with a deep frown. "I don't know Glandon but I...men in the city are so...heartless," she manages to get out her tone angry. "If I find him I'm not handing him over to that man," she adds eyeing both Brock and Valen. "You give your word and you scheme for a better pay off? Does your word mean that little to you? Either of you," she adds hands on hips now her disappointment showing in her tone and expression. "Father why did I come here..." she trails off moving towards the stairs ready to leave.
"That guy is concerned for Glandon too!" Brock would say somewhat taken back by Wallis's response. "Obviously he considers Glandon an important employee and he wants him back as well! Why would we not want to get paid twice for funding our man instead of once... I dont think he wants to hurt Glandon" he would say looking from Wallis to Valen.
"Uh 'that ink stained idiot girl'," Wallis reminds Brock of the man's words. "Yes, his concern is for all parties is overwhelming," she adds leaving the bar altogether.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Valen shrugs nonchalantly as Wallis questions the value of his word. "I try not ever give my word, or at least make it difficult to discern if I have given it... And I don't recall giving it to Seagan."
"I don't know if I would delude myself and goes as far as saying that he's not going to hurt him, but I also don't have a problem of getting paid twice for the same job... if possible," he replies to Brock. He nods back down the stair. "Shall we take a quick look at this shapechanger downstairs, and then I suppose we see if there is anything to discover from where the lad was staying?" As Valen makes his way back down to the main floor he does his best to take notice of the figure that Kyve suggested.
As Valen descends the staircase he notices the man Kyve mentioned, he is apparently paying no attention to anyone but Valen notices him flick a glance at Kyve as the rogue exits the tavern, he then looks up and sees the party moving towards him, Valen interprets his quick return to his meal as deliberately trying to not look like he was caught looking.
The man is about 30 years old, sandy hair, a very nondescript face with dark eyes, clothed in neutral colours including a dark brown jacket with black buttons and a high collar. He appears to be wearing a cream coloured shirt and some sort of golden chain around his neck.
Are you leaving the tavern? And if so where are you going to go?

Brock would have stopped for a moment, looked at the guy without any real attempt to be sneaky... and then shrug his shoulders and follow quickly behind Wallis.

Looking around at the tables Wallis gravitates towards the handsome man's table.

Brock would follow next to Wallis, cracking his knuckles and rolling his neck along the way.
Valen gives the man a nod and follows along beside his companions. He steps over to the table. "Kyve, I presume?"

"He's....important to someone so he's important to me," Wallis adds. "Can you give us any leads," she adds.

Valen rises as Kyve begins to leave. He eyes the man curiously at his advice. "Mark him for later? I'm sorry but I don't follow."
"Before you leave, I am curious... If we were able to find the kid before you, what would it be worth to you?"
