Rather than trying to compete with the crowd for a view of the honored guest, Tait will look to see if there is a vantage point that he can get a look; on top of a wagon, barrel, raised sidewalk, tree, etc. If he can fins something like that he'll try and get a look. If not, he'll try to see where they are heading to and try to get in front of them so he can take a look.
Hoyle wonders out loud, "What's a Sunfield and what are they doing in Red Larch?"After hearing the large man's response to Talon, he tries to find a better vantage point to get a view of these visitors. Perhaps slipping through the crowds, taking advantage of his small size to get a better view. He will pay attention to the rumors people in the crowd say about the Sunfield's.
Joshua will use his knowledge of Red Larch to try and avoid the crowd by moving to where he thinks the mayor will go to next. If he finds Father Byron he will stay near him knowing that sooner or later the Sunfield will have to go to him.
Arric, not really interested, will still follow because it seems his group of acquaintances and occasional friends are excited to see these people for some reason. He’ll try to squeeze through the crowd with his larger frame to help Talon see, saying, “Excuse me, pardon me, sorry ma’am, just trying to get through,” and smiling apologetically.
((Would Arric know if James would be up to no good at the festival? Like has Thomas’s group done things at festivals before?))
Probably not against the festival since they would dare do something like that in the open but use the time when everyone focus is turned elsewhere certainly
Seeing the spur in the crowds interest toward these new arrivals, Klaus attempts to move behind the crowd having no interest in getting caught up in such a poor position. He moves about the rear of the crowd seeing if there might be a way to just bypass them altogether. Though seeing his younger sister's interest peaked quite more than his own, Klaus hoists her up onto one of his shoulders, already taller than most people he figured that would give her a vantage point to at least calm her down a bit in all the excitement.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Noticing Arric turn away from the crowd, Talon would turn his head and scratch his chin with his claw-like fingers before following the young paladin and mimicing his movements.
(Stealth check to follow behind Arric if Arric is trying to be stealthy.18)
He’s not trying to sneak but he’s not shouting he’s there. Arric will just walk into the alley. He won’t mention Talon is there. But yeah, just strolling on in with nothing to hide. ((Am I wearing armor, or would I have just come to the festival with regular clothes?))
Klaus seeing Arric head into an alley way away from the current main interest of the festival is curious. Where could he be headed that takes precedent over what everyone else is interested in? Klaus knowing that Arric spends a large amount of time searching out people to help and aid, wonders if Arric perhaps sees someone in trouble or in need of some type of medical attention. "Sorry dear sister, something probably more important than some fancy travelers from Waterdeep has come up." Klaus says to Evelyn as he pulls her off of his shoulder, grabbing her hand, ushering her to follow him in pursuit of where Arric is heading.
((Not currently trying to hide or be sneaky for I don't know of anything wrong up ahead, just heading to find out what's up.))
Joshua has also moved away but in (potentially) a different direction depending on how he is planning on getting somewhere he thinks he can avoid the crowds

You wouldn't be wearing armor to this kind of event
Talon would bounce forward into the crowd as well, trying to wiggle his his beak in-between some of the townsfolk to make a hole to see through.

Tait manages to get a bit higher than the rest of the group and sees nothing out of the ordinary except the trutting Mayor.

Arric follows the throng of people trailing Mr Goodwealth.
Out of the corner of his eyes he sees a figure slipping into an alley. The familiar figure of James Folsen on of Thomas cronies.

Klaus will see if Arric moves away from the crowd.
Arric, curious to see what new trouble that group would get into, follows James into the alley.
(Arric are you trying to hide or be conspicuous ? If so, roll appropriatly please.)

Does Hoyle notice any of the people (Arric, Klaus or Talon) moving away from the crowds?

Talon would quickly catch up to Arric. "Where ya going" The kenku would chirp as he approaches his friend.
